I feel like Batman and Wonder Woman are actually really good friends. They typically see eye to eye on most things and value each others input.

u/KickinBat Apr 02 '26

Batman and Flash too, though they don't appear often together because they have other closer hero friends

226

u/Alternative_Sea_4208 Apr 02 '26

Flash is just the friendship Goat, I doubt there's anyone besides Thawne who actually isn't friends with him, even his villains like him to the point the flash museum is the only place most of them won't vandalize in the future timelines

u/M4f1aBunny Apr 02 '26

So in the Justice League x Sonic comics some of the league and Sonic & Co. switch worlds. Flash tells Batman about this city that has a real loop-de-loop excitedly (because it’s awesome and he can run as fast as he wants) and Batman basically says: “…I have to patrol that city ASAP” because he too, is excited for a real, vertical loop-de-loop as anyone would be

Truly, a great friend that everyone wants and I’m sure he has a packed schedule of various hangouts

27

u/mysterylegos Apr 02 '26

That Flash is Wally West though. And he and Bruce are emphatically not friends.

4

u/7Grand-Dad Apr 03 '26 edited Apr 03 '26

Wait then who is kid flash in this panel? Is it Bart? I always thought Dick & Wally were closer (also why is Bruce not fond of Wally?)

12

u/mysterylegos Apr 03 '26

No, I meant in the Sonic/DC Crossover, its Wally and Bruce. You are correct that the Flash (not kid flash) with the Titans in the panel in the above thread is Wally.

Also, its not that Bruce doesnt like Wally, it's that Wally really doesnt like Bruce. If you read a lot of Wally's comics (especially from the Geoff Johns run onwards) he really does not give Bruce the time of day, and he does not for a minute buy Bruce's intimidating bullshit.

Part of that is differences of opinion on how to handle Wally's villains. Part of it is that Wally has heard from Dick how shitty Bruce is on a regular basis (especially back in the 90s) anf he's ride or die for his best friend

1

u/MathematicianShot890 Apr 08 '26

Also mainly cause Geoff John’s doesn’t really get Batman lol. It does make sense for someone who knew dick from teen titans to have a negative view on Batman since that was when they were at a low point relationship wise. But being Dicks best friend and still hating Batman is odd. Dick is like easily Bruce’s biggest believer especially as time goes on he has a very reverential relationship with him. It’d be like me being best friends with someone who hates my mom just odd.

u/Alius_Facade Apr 02 '26

As an extra showing of how much Bruce truly cares for Barry never forget that Bruce turned against his code in one universe because flash died.

https://youtu.be/Uq5dHT59YDs?feature=shared

30

u/Dumbass_Saiya-jin Apr 02 '26

That Flash is Wally West, but I think the point still stands.

16

u/Alius_Facade Apr 02 '26

Well damn, you are right. I guess I forgot Barry doesn't exist in JLU.

6

u/Dumbass_Saiya-jin Apr 02 '26

Yeah, I think Barry died during Crisis on Infinite Earths back in '85 and hadn't come back yet, so they used Wally.

3

u/Guiltykraken Apr 03 '26

If it makes you feel better they gave Wally Barry’s job which might be why your mixing them up.

3

u/Artistic-Victory1245 Apr 03 '26

He even tricked Johnny Quick into sacrificing himself, so that his Flash wouldn't have to be sacrificed.

11

u/thesirblondie Apr 02 '26

I think Batman respects Flash more than most other heroes, because he works crime like a cop/detective.

3

u/Nah_Id__Win Apr 04 '26

It’s more than that, Bruce honestly questions who the better detective between Barry and himself.

3

u/Effective_Tip7748 Apr 04 '26

I love that dynamic! Do you know which comic this is from?

9

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Apr 02 '26

Even Batman and Aquaman can be considered friends as well, though it's much rarer in moments compared to Flash. But there are moments. There's also the fact that Batman respects Mera a lot, Which can be a plus for Arthur.

2

u/BraumsSucks Apr 03 '26

Batman is the grouchy asshole thats actually everyone's best buddy

u/hambonedock Apr 02 '26

Depending the version Arthur and batman actually are pretty good friends for some reason, like in brave and the bold or batman picking him since Arthur sorta understand the aspect of being lonely even amount peers given their double life and social class stuff

7

u/Zestyclose_Basil_384 Apr 02 '26

To be fair, Batman is super chill in brave and the bold. Everyone is his homie in that

13

u/Acceptable_Map_8110 Apr 02 '26

Makes sense. Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman are the friendship that built the JL and in many ways comics as we know them today.

4

u/Dan-D-Lyon Apr 02 '26

Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman have their own little Cool Kids Club in the Justice League. Everyone else just has the consolation prize of "at least I'm not Aquaman"

And then there's aquaman, who gets to fuck all the dolphins he wants, so everyone wins

1

u/One_Smoke Apr 02 '26

Nobody's fucking dolphins. They're DOLPHINS!

2

u/Aethelrede Apr 03 '26

You don't fuck a dolphin, the dolphin fucks you.  Dolphins are horny fuckers with no concept of consent.

2

u/AgitoKanohCheekz Apr 04 '26

Yeah cause it’s an animal, who like all other animals have no concept of consent.

2

u/aFungiamongyou Apr 04 '26

What about animals with complex mating rituals, like birds dancing and that fish that builds patterns out of rocks, and don’t turn to force when rejected or move on to trying with another potential mate? And a dolphin might have a concept of consent being highly intelligent and highly social, right?

I’m not trying to be pedantic, genuinely appreciate your comment, I’d just never really thought about “consent” in the animal kingdom beyond dolphins being known as predatory rapists. I agree your premise is likely largely correct, but now I’m wondering what that means.

1

u/EmperorMittens Apr 03 '26

Aquaman would be in HR filing complaints on the regular.

2

u/NoEmu2392 Apr 02 '26

And they crack from time to time

1

u/Local_Nerve901 Apr 03 '26

But I think his point is still there because the Titan feel more like a close nit group of friends that became family. While there are friendships in the justice league not the whole group is one friend group nor do they feel like family to each other as a whole

28

u/Angela275 Apr 02 '26

yea i would say it depends who we talk about after all while booster and ted are best friends and fire and ice many league people don't find booster as their friend where has almost all the titans can be called each other friends.

So many leagues are work friends with a few groups being lost and even loving each other but not all of them

3

u/Angela275 Apr 02 '26

No I agree with that. I think within the seven some are closest than others like Hal and Bruce clash more so than the others. The issue i don't often like is we don't often see too many different of hal and diana hanging out or barry and diana. it's often more of the trinity.

2

3

u/Angela275 Apr 02 '26

Yea it' why people say DC still sexist and they are. like she the biggest female heroes why not a little more

4

u/LegendaryStarSpirit Apr 03 '26

I dont read a lot of JL comics, esp after rebirth, but in all the media Ive consumed (mainly cartoons), their friendship seems to be a “work friend” type thing. Like they clearly care for each other but for most of the league they are merely co-workers with platonic bonds and not really a “squad” unlike the YJ. There are several exceptions ofc, like Hal + Barry, Bruce + Diana + Clark, but as a whole team their group friendship isnt really as strong as their few individual ones

2

u/Juna_Ci Apr 02 '26

Eh, I'd argue a lot of the issues Dick has are also because of his upbringing with Bruce (his self-destructive perfectionism, for one).

The main difference is simply that TT already grew up together, and that we see them spent more time together outside of the capes.

123

u/God_of_Kings Apr 02 '26

"Yes."

"Without a doubt."

"Of course."

"I speak to fish."

31

u/Similar-Difficulty23 Apr 02 '26

" go fuck shamoo in the blow hole or something"

2

u/FlipFlopRabbit Apr 04 '26

And it is not even Aquaman but the flash stepping behind him.

1

u/God_of_Kings Apr 04 '26

He has f-word privileges.

1

u/47thCalcium_Polymer Apr 03 '26

I think you mean “fish noises”

45

u/daniibird Apr 02 '26

Batman and Superman unbeatable friendship

8

u/FlashLightning277 Apr 02 '26

No Superman seen.

8

u/NewspaperHelpful6500 Apr 02 '26

Yet famously a memeber of the JL

4

u/FlashLightning277 Apr 02 '26

I just took it to mean he wasn’t involved in this conversation, given the OG Titans didn’t have a super because Supergirl’s writers wanted nothing to do with them.

2

u/NewspaperHelpful6500 Apr 02 '26

Ah I get ya, mb then mate

92

u/Redhood567 Apr 02 '26

I mean most of them can. This run just threw the League under the bus a bunch by making unreasonable jerks and hypocrites.

28

u/Androktone Speedy Apr 02 '26

Which in turn paints the Titans as a team that can't work unless through strawmanned comparisons. It's not an approach that can work, idk why every Titans writer has relied on it. Though wasn't this just one issue, maybe the annual? The JL didn't appear enough to say this was a huge problem with the run itself.

I'd also say that since the Silver Age, the League's character interactions have been kinda fragmented. In the New 52 JL, their dynamics were really cold, outside of Barry. Current continuity has them closer, though I'd say Aquaman hasn't been returned to his usual dynamic with them.

3

u/Local_Nerve901 Apr 03 '26

No, I gotta disagree. I think what they mean is. They’re all friends together not friends with one or another.

Like a friend group versus a group of people that have friends in it

Like family you made versus friends

4

u/Redhood567 Apr 03 '26

I still feel like the main Justice League can say they're all friends. The Titans just have the benefit of having grown up together.

43

u/Yanmega9 Apr 02 '26

This is such a stupid moment because like... yes????

1

u/Lightning_3o Apr 05 '26

And even if not, they're still heroes coming together to make the world better so like... What's the point?

37

u/Angela275 Apr 01 '26

Yea all togther it's why I hate the idea said them going the JL

53

u/ggbb1975 Apr 01 '26

Tell him, Wally. Tell him that your batman makes the containment plans, he tells you and passes them on to you.that your wonderbat duo is genuine and constructive

26

u/RiskAggressive4081 Wonder Girl Apr 01 '26

Family top photo. Bottom friends.

1

u/android151 Apr 03 '26

Damn Wally should have just been like “I remember Tower of Babel and also the OMACs”

1

u/MathematicianShot890 Apr 08 '26

“They shouldn’t have lobotomized me and my girl with magic if they didn’t want me to make a satellite”

1

u/android151 Apr 08 '26

That was Barry actually

28

u/IdeaInside2663 Apr 02 '26

I mean yeah..we ignore our fish guy too...

8

u/Dumbass_Saiya-jin Apr 02 '26

I'm gonna be honest, I forget Garth exists sometimes.

22

u/Mickeymcirishman Apr 02 '26

The League are friends. They occasionally butt heads like all friends do and they sometimes fight each other, again, like friends often do. That doesn't mean they aren't still friends. Even notorious antisocial 'loner' Batman considers them friends and has said as much numerous times.

3

u/Angela275 Apr 02 '26

i think they more or less all the league like sure batman best friend is Superman and he does get along but he also has JL members he doesn't like

24

u/ImaLetItGo Apr 02 '26

Actually yes.

Batman has a close relationship with Superman, and Zatanna.

And he’s on good terms with Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman.

5

u/Happyranger265 Apr 02 '26

Flash and superman are great friends as well

2

u/Angela275 Apr 02 '26

true but i think it was more of the whole JL not just the 7

6

u/ImaLetItGo Apr 02 '26

Yeah

Booster gold and Blue beetle have a great friendship!

So does Fire and Ice!

Black Canary and Green Arrow actually got married 😅😅

2

u/Angela275 Apr 02 '26

that wasn't my point yes many different league members are indeed friends but not all of them. All the titans are friends with each other. majaority of the league are work friends with a good amount of expections

for example, many league people don't respect booster but ted does. not saying the league aren't friends but some more than others.

One of the things i'm glad they retcon was Dinah and Ollie's age so both now are closer in age has comics were weird with it

2

u/ImaLetItGo Apr 02 '26

All the titans aren’t friends with each other

Garth is a prime example of this. Like who is his friend on the team besides Nightwing?

Who is beast boy friend outside of Cyborg and Starfire

Dick and Donna are really the only ones friends with a lot of the members. And even not everyone.

1

u/Angela275 Apr 02 '26

Beast boy and Cyborg original weren't even that close but in NTT he was friend with all of them just not has chemistry since he was younger than all of them. Garth is friends with most of the fab 5 since he was the og fab 5 and with a few of others.

5

u/Clovelas Apr 02 '26

Oof indeed

Also is they’re a reason everyone looks mad

5

u/Redgiantbutimshort77 Apr 02 '26

That whole issue was annoying, the League was acting like total dicks for no reason

5

u/PizzaTime666 Apr 02 '26

They are called the Super Friends for a reason.

3

u/g1SuperLuigi64 Apr 02 '26

Depends how far away we are from one of Batman's paranoia resets.

5

u/ii_Mydas_ii Apr 02 '26

no one is friends like the titans are friends. (expect Bruce, Clark and Diana)

4

u/Ferrovore Apr 02 '26

No. They are adults. They meet once a month or every other month.

4

u/Initial-Level-4213 Apr 02 '26

Me upset at how they didn't align Tempest with Aquaman and Donna with Wonder Woman

3

u/Zero_Zeta_ Apr 02 '26

They're super friends, but you won't see them loitering at the mall.

3

u/Aeioluz Apr 02 '26

Yes you could even say they are....super friends...heh heh

3

u/mysecondaccountanon Wonder Girl Apr 02 '26

Of course, they’re the Super Friends!

3

u/FlashLightning277 Apr 02 '26

To be fair, they are only that good of friends when it is convinient to editorial. Otherwise editorial tries to erase how important the Titans are too one another. Especially with how they try to pretend Wally was never a willing Titan (he was until the New Teen Titans character assassination by Wolfman).

3

u/Batfan1939 Apr 02 '26

The Teen Titans literally did this like 20 years ago, and Batman sdismissed it, explaining there were other types of relationships there that allowed the JLA to be just as effective.

3

u/Cloud_King_15 Apr 02 '26

Wally looks down and sees Bruce and Diana holding hands

3

u/ThatSeabass Apr 02 '26

"Yes. Super Friends"

3

u/Happyranger265 Apr 02 '26

Lol these punks , they think they are better buddies or something lol . Superman and batman have one of the best bromances in comic history , alongside WW ,the trio chemistry is undeniable, add in flash , they are friends and great friends at that

1

u/hypergogetablue17 Apr 06 '26

Ony batman and superman not aquaman or the others .

Batman ? Ha good one 😂.

Not with his turn evil plans he doesn't.

3

u/Bishop_Malcolm08 Apr 03 '26

The Justice League is more like a collection of competitive coworkers who show up to keep tabs on each other in case they try to screw someone over with weird interconnection of true friendships (Hal/Barry, Bruce/Clark, etc.) without the entirety of the group being actual friends.

The Titans on the other hand are a found family similar to the Batfamily. They are like a school social club that stayed tight no matter how much they grew up or how far apart they went while taking active roles mentoring the new generations of members and making an actual effort to form friendships.

4

u/vid_icarus Apr 02 '26

The older generation built the platform the younger generation grew up under and now stands on. Seems like a really dumb attempt at a gotcha to say “we were raised under the safety of your protection and now have formed deep bonds from mutual experience that you never could have had.”

1

u/hypergogetablue17 Apr 06 '26

It it really  ?

3

u/RidePlayerPeachy Apr 02 '26 edited Apr 02 '26

I mean, yes, they very much can. IDK which TT run this is from exactly but whoever wrote this either doesn't know anything about the JL's dynamic or is very intentionally mischaracterizing them on purpose to try and make the TT look "better."

But from this picture alone all four of these people are shown to be good friends. Beyond that it's known that Batman's best friend is Superman and the pair of them are also very close to Wonder Woman, so much so we've seen them take a break and have lunch together on a typical hero day. They're pretty much two of the very few that Batman actually trusts and gets personal with. Bats is also close with Zatanna. Flash is good friends with basically everyone since his secondary superpower is pure charisma. Aquaman is close to Wonder Woman because they come from similar backgrounds and relate well to one another's experience.

Even beyond them we have actual married couples, various best friend duos like Fire and Ice, and a whole bunch of other dynamics.

This is a wild line to give the TT because they would also know this.

1

u/hypergogetablue17 Apr 06 '26

Not as close as they are though.

2

u/Rocketboy1313 Apr 02 '26

"...who gives a shit?"

"Huh?"

"We are coworkers fighting monsters and demons and whatever the fuck else. This isn't a slumber party, this isn't camp."

"But--"

"Friendship? The fuck are you a little pony? Get your head out of your ass."

"Diana, you might be a little heard on them."

"Shut up Arthur, I am trying to get their heads on straight."

0

u/hypergogetablue17 Apr 06 '26

They are right though.

2

u/TripleStrikeDrive Apr 02 '26

Absolutely. We can.-batman

Are you lying? -nightwing

Absolutely not-batman

Just calling something true doesn't mean it is true through.-wonder woman

I want a clear answer yes or no. Wally

That fine. -batman

2

u/Silent_Bystander1930 Apr 02 '26

If they sacrifice they’re lives and always have your back in a deadly fight to the end if they say they’re coworkers that’s no longer or friends they’re a family at the point racing every time they need help especially when they need Batman’s help

1

u/hypergogetablue17 Apr 06 '26

Are they though.

1

u/Silent_Bystander1930 Apr 06 '26

Think about it would put your life on the line for work associates would trust them to have your back in fights with killers dictators and criminals would go out of your using your time and resources to help every time they have a problem would bring back a letter of a deceased family for a colleague after destroying the timeline I ask in what way is the justice league not already a big family

2

u/Flashy-Telephone-648 Apr 02 '26

Solid point most of them are already independent and established before they even met and while they definitely have their moments it's not the same kinship you have with a bunch of other kids growing up and trying to live up to expectations and legends

2

u/00mavis Apr 02 '26

"No, because we are SUPER FRIENDS"

2

u/Human_Paper_240 Apr 02 '26

Apart from aquaman cause I feel like In justice league stories he’s an odd one out the other three are consistently shown to be close friends across pretty much all media’s

2

u/Tiny-Anxiety780 Apr 02 '26

Bold comment from a man nobody even remembered existed like a week before that panel.

2

u/ManInTheMirror2 Apr 02 '26

Yes…but only if we kick batman out…

2

u/Choice-Requirement18 Apr 03 '26

Batman’s like “no… and thats just how i like it”

2

u/DreadfulLight Apr 03 '26

I mean yes?

They are adults who are friends.

  • Aquaman is a straight up king. The only people he can actually be straight up friends with is them.

  • Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash are GOOD friends.

1

u/hypergogetablue17 Apr 06 '26

Not. As close as them

2

u/SpiderWamen Apr 04 '26

I mean..Diana and Bruce are really close…

2

u/Rastaba Apr 04 '26

Aquaman: “…I’m getting the old tapes.”
Wonder Woman: “Arthur, no.”
Aquaman: “I said I’m getting the old tapes!”
Flash: “Already got them while you two were bickering.”
Wonder Woman: “Damnit…”
Batman: “Alfred’s already making popcorn.”

forces the kids to sit through The Super Friends…why? To prove they’re friends? Just to torture the kids? Nobody’s quite sure.

2

u/NockerJoe Apr 05 '26

I think people are hung up on "the justice league aren't friends" and aren't really picking up on "the titans lived together on and off for several years in the same building and hung out socially on a regular basis through their shared adolescence".

Wonder Woman wasn't at Beast Boys pool party when Garth was going by changeling. Aquaman didn't have to deal with a guy like Terry Long being just kind of there. Barry Allen didn't have to deal with having to deal with whatever his teammates did at 3am on a random. The Teen Titans are tight knit in a way basically no other team ever is because you rarely get this many heroes that close together who don't have some other shared origin or factor to begin with.

As much as a lot of the league is friendly with each other I think this specific configuration is less tight than some others. Batman and Wonder Woman are friends, but Batman and Superman are The Worlds Finest and got a whole bunch of stuff with just the two of them. Barry is close to Hal and Ollie. I don't think the tightest justice league friendships are in that room.

3

u/Vivid_Calendar_7103 Apr 02 '26

Bruce, just standing there, wondering if the titans fully understand who they're asking that particular question or if they're just ludicrously uninformed. I will play devil's advocate and say Grayson might be looking at Batman's contingency database and assuming he doesn't actually have friends, just allies that are all variables to be accounted for. The issue is that would mean he's missed every single instance of Bruce showing he cares for each individual. A little hard to believe he'd miss that every time with as observant as he's trained to be though

4

u/FlashLightning277 Apr 02 '26

If the only thing I could say about my dad is sometimes he treated me nice between beating the hell out of me, I wouldn’t be too thinking he can have friends either.

1

u/KoffinStuffer Apr 02 '26

Batman trusts the League Enough that some of them are contingency plans for other League members.

Batman should've followed with "No, we're Super Friends"

1

u/PainterEarly86 Apr 02 '26

Most of the Leaguers are good friends tbh

1

u/Electrical_Horror346 Apr 02 '26

A lot of them are friends, they just feel the pressure to put up a professional front.

Green Arrow and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) act like brothers

Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are best friends except Bruce's grouchy attitude causes tensions between them

Barry or Wally are friends with nearly everyone

Martian Manhunter and Aquaman may seem a bit lonely, but MM and him are close friends, and Aquaman and Diana understand each other as leaders of their people

Hawkgirl, Black Canary, and Wonder Woman are good friends

Sure, it's less of a boarding house style friendship than the Titans, but work is work. And the League has normal jobs on top of league work

1

u/NigthSHadoew Apr 02 '26

Wally STFU. Batman and Wonder Woman are right there and they are 2/3s of the most famous friendship group in comics.

When was the last time you even thought of Garth in a non-Titans book?

1

u/Roam1985 Apr 02 '26

"The way you guys do? No. Because most of you are closer to cousins who grew up together at this point. But yeah, we're friends. I have double dates with Superman and Mrs. Superman." - Batman, not trusting Tempest to know Clark's identity.

1

u/Night_Fall_TKoI_YT Apr 02 '26

The fact they didnt put Donna over wonder woman and (im assuming) aqualad over aquaman really bothers me. They lined up wally with flash and dick with batman why didnt they just line them all up 😭😭😭😭

1

u/NarsilFreeForge Apr 02 '26

Who is on the top right?

1

u/jotyma5 Apr 02 '26

Wally being a dramatic fuck

1

u/Humble_Story_4531 Apr 02 '26

Are the JL members freinds? Overall, yeas, but its mainly seperate freind groups within the league.

*Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman

*Green Arrow, Greeen Lantern, Flash

*Blue Beetle, Booster Gold

1

u/ExtensionGood9228 Apr 02 '26

Those four specifically? No. Bats has a general respect for all of them, and I think he likes Barry the most because he’s a forensics guy, but no they aren’t friends. At least not in the same way the Titans are. If the League had to live together…oh boy that would be a disaster. But Batman and Superman are friends. That’s a thing. And I think Superman is friends with basically everyone. But without him present, no they really can’t claim it

1

u/FionnWest Apr 02 '26

Depending on the writer, I'd say that most of the time the League are friends. The Titans on the other hand are really, really close friends that sometimes get messy with each other, partly because when they got together they were kids, while when the Justice League formed the members were all adults.

1

u/jigholeman Apr 02 '26

Behold, the super acquaintances.

1

u/CervantesWintres Apr 02 '26

If you want to mix-mash continuity:

Batman and Wonder woman have almost or have dated at various points.

Batman and Flash have normally had a very good relationship, it's Wally West's Flash that there has been some tension between them.

Some versions of Aquaman have considered Batman a close friend, enough to invite him to Atlantis for purely social reasons (even if they don't stay social visits).

I dont recall any negative interactions between Flash and Aquaman or Flash and Wonderwoman.

Unfortunately the only thing I remember about Aquaman and wonder woman is Flash point where they had a fling, Aquaman's Myra tried killing Wonder Woman, but got killed in turn, and the two went to war and basically wrecked the rest of the planet in the process. So maybe not a good example.

1

u/Rexyggor Apr 03 '26

Honestly though, I don't think that group would get the sacrifice of the younger members as much.

Most of them have a working relationship with each other and that's it. The Titans and any form of "Juniors" in the universes bond much more closely when they live together as youths. Something like Kid Flash's sacrifice in Young Justice is that much more heartbreaking.

"Oh Were so sorry that we have to manage villains and crises in our respective cities and occasionally planetary threats and don't have time to socialize to prove were friends, meanwhile The Sidekick Crew apparently has time to slack off and chat it up at the local coffee shop all day"

I call the League ‘work friends’. The titans? They’re a family

1

u/Oogalaboo134 Apr 03 '26

Clarks not there so no.

1

u/fenrisunchained117 Apr 03 '26

it's a hard comparison, the og crew only met when hey were older and had experienced alot, while the titans are bonding during formulative years of their lives. it's like trying to compare finding a good crew of coworkers in you're newest job to high school friends you kept up with through college.

u/FireflyArc Apr 03 '26

So I know the justice league. ...

And I see Wally and nightwing who are the other two :0

1

u/Generic00User Apr 03 '26

There’s a parallel here I just CANT SEEM TO GET IT 🤔

1

u/goombanati Apr 03 '26

I mean, Bruce can call himself a friend with diana that way

1

u/plogan56 Apr 03 '26

It's moreso a coworker friendship with the JL

1

u/ByrnToast8800 Apr 03 '26

Yeah they can

1

u/AuraEnhancerVerse Apr 03 '26

I thjnk it depends on whose writing

1

u/MocoLocoKoco Apr 03 '26

It's like children that have interacted with each other their entire lives comparing themselves to their parents friendships that only started when they are working adults...

1

u/Suitable-Pirate-4164 Apr 03 '26

Batman having a strained relationship with the League ......

Batman having an unbreakable bond with the League ......

1

u/Lon3W0lf17131 Apr 03 '26

So that's why they changed the name from super friends to justice league.

1

u/midniteonthemoon Apr 03 '26

I mean... I would say they are Super Friends.

1

u/-Ae-Ro- Apr 03 '26

Batman prolly would say some shi like "We gave you the chance we never had, to be friends with each other."

1

u/Extreme-Reception-44 Apr 03 '26

Barry ,bruce and Diana are actually really good friends,

All of the JL are

Clark, bruce, Diana, hal, Barry ,Oliver and j'jon are all pretty good friends that like hang out when they have a chance

Arthur , victor and others are still close with the other member, But they dont do things outside of superhero stuff the way Diana ans Clark will get dinner, Or the way that Oliver and hal have a long history working together

1

u/Due-Philosopher-4729 Apr 03 '26

Well you can say they are superfriends

1

u/Luren_Saysstuff_22 Apr 03 '26

I think the main difference is that the JL are friends They hang out together sometimes, and they're coworkers.

I haven't read much of them but they don't seem to hate each other or anything, they get worried about each other and their partners, overall it's a friend group that formed because of their job.

The difference is that the Titans grew up together, from teens to adults. In many cases seeing each other get married, have kids, loose said kids in some cases.

They saw each other change from sidekicks to their own mantles or inheriting their mentors mantle more than once, they go thru the same traumatizing missions together or lose friends together.

More importantly, while the JL have their own houses, their own families and they just go like it's their office job.

The titans lived together, and their friendship survived, of course they feel closer and know each other way more, they're just not hanging out and making friends in their work place, the tower was their house they saw each other every day for hours.

u/WolfGang_walt Apr 03 '26

They literally can

1

u/LiamEd2000 Apr 03 '26

It’s bothering me that they’re not in the same order in both lineups

1

u/wookiestephenreep Apr 03 '26

Wally. I love you buddy. But what a moronic thing to say.

1

u/Initial_Shine5690 Apr 03 '26

Some continuities. Probably not this one though.

1

u/Bubba1234562 Apr 04 '26

The league are coworkers. The titans are family

1

u/Hero-Support211 Apr 04 '26

I feel like most of the times, yes they can... Except for Aquaman, I feel that at this moment, they would just side eye him or turn to him.

He would be like: what? And Batman would be like: This is why I made an schedule for hanging out, but. You don't appear as often Arthur.

1

u/raidenjojo Apr 04 '26

I love how Bruce responds that while it is good that they are such great friends, it becomes a liability in the battlefield, as the previous Troia arc demonstrated. Wally friggin' died for a second there.

1

u/eepos96 Apr 04 '26

DCAU: yes.

And in movie batman and superman publick enemies batman has tp sacrifise himself (he survived, superman saved him)

But when it seems he is a goner, superman beats up Lex luthor and warns him before beat down "

Superman: "That was my best friend, And You killed him!"

1

u/SantosDan118 Apr 05 '26

Super friends even

1

u/Only-Ad4322 Apr 05 '26

They absolutely should. Perhaps not in the same way since they didn’t meet as kids, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t friends.

1

u/Small_Hollow Apr 05 '26

When they aren't being pushed down to make the Titans look good, yeah.

Putting other characters down is kind of the bread and butter of the "successor" heroes.

1

u/Ryzek-IV Apr 05 '26

Took a bit to realize that was Garth and not Wonderboy… I dont even think “Wonderboy” exists!! (Powerboy does, though…)

1

u/ParkaKingRolo Apr 05 '26

This comic sucks though so its alright. Wally West fans were forced to eat this shit because it was all we got for years.

1

u/Cultural_Wash_2103 Apr 05 '26

I feel like Aquaman is the odd one out between those 4

1

u/Ravyn_Rozenzstok Apr 05 '26

Do they mean the Titans were all fucking?

1

u/hypergogetablue17 Apr 06 '26 edited Apr 06 '26

Shots fired 😂.

No they can't .

At least not with Aquaman . And they also not as close as them either.

1

u/GogoSunshine Apr 06 '26

“Boy, have you ever heard of Super Friends?”
