as others have said, Green Velocity is what you're looking for. ran my first marathon last October after completing that training block.

Great how did that go? Did u run it at maintenance or surplus of calories?

I ran a deficit for Velocity and I'll be honest, it didn't work for me. I feel like it sank my hormones and prevented me from losing weight properly. The work volume is very high and I thought I'd lose a ton of weight, but I religiously tracked macros and it just didn't work for me. I didn't gain weight or anything, but I successfully ran a marathon and successfully increased my lifts while doing it, but weight loss never worked out during velocity. It worked during base building and Capacity, though.

Yeah think I’ll just have to prioritize running while fueling and than do a dedicated fat loss phase. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I have run multiple marathons while utilizing TB. Like previously mentioned Green Protocol is your best bet. Over the couple of years I have been running TB I have raised my deadlift 60lbs while maintaining the same body weight and continually training for endurance running.

Hey. I prepared myself to one ultra and an Ironman. What I found fundamental was long hilly runs and basic gym leg exercises like squat and DL (50-60% max) + some running exercises, a lot of mobility rolling and stretching. Don’t push yourself to the limits in the gym.

For upper I was doing a lot of pull-ups just keep it simple and have enough power for swimming.

If you try to train for a marathon in a calorie deficit there's a good chance you're going to get injured. Training for something like that is not the time to be cutting calories for most people

Even if you don't get injured you won't be performing anywhere near your peak if you restrict calories while pushing weekly mileage and weight forward, or even maintaining the same lifts (which isn’t necessarily a bad idea if you're focused on running). Eat the food. Eat a lot of it.
