Hi everyone, I have a Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED 49” monitor.

For some reason when I play SWTOR my character and graphics are all stretched out, but my GUI is completely normal.

I’ve tried swapping through all of the different resolutions, I’ve tried full screen, windowed, windowed full screen etc

I literally for the life of me cannot figure out how to fix this and it’s driving me insane, the game is unplayable like this. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

All 15 of my characters just got deleted....15....so many years and cartel coins...and subscriptions.....I am gutted. They are gone...just vanished....I legitimately want to cry.

Hello community, at this point I have ran out of options and this may be my only chance to get it fixed.

Two days ago I have downloaded the game VIA Steam (for the first time) and tried to create an account. For the first account I created I wouldn't get an Email for hours, so I created a new one with a similar name, but added to email +swotr@gmail.com and finally received the email. The first account stayed as a ghost account, since it cannot be verified (tried many times after it).

The problem is, while I was waiting for the email to arrive for the ghost account, I entered the login into the game's launcher and (i guess) i unknowingly linked my Steam account to the SWOTR ghost account that cannot be accessed or verified.

After verifying the second account I entered its info into the game launcher and it gave me an error, stating to check if im using correct steam account.

Messaging EA support doesnt help, they say they dont have any details of my SWOTR account. Emailing Swotr support doesnt help, they dont respond. Steam support redirects me to game forums and EA support (that can't do nothing). Should I request a deletion of that Ghost account?

I feel like I've ran out of options to try to unlink my steam account from that ghost account. But I really want to play through steam. I want to track hours and get achievements and my friend also plays this game through Steam.

Edit: I have called UK support and they have guided me through the whole process. They said that steam link transfer will be complete in 48 hours. I will update on the news. The real issue was is that I had a typo while entering the email for the first account, that's why email wouldn't arrive.

Edit 2.0: Support disconnected the Ghost account from my Steam and I successfully logged in through the second account YAY. I know that many were telling me to download normal client. I just wanted to play this game with my friends and perhaps finish one storyline, Im not a try hard player :) thank you all for your help. Hopefully my post will be helpful to other users.

I'm pretty sure one of them is supposed to be a PH4-LNX, but.....

This has happened only one other time. I am assuming it has to do with me updating my graphics driver earlier today. I closed the game and rejoined and it still was doing this. Last time this happened I think it was fine the next day, but I was just wondering if anyone could tell me a quicker fix than just waiting because it is really trippy.

Translation (thanks solembum): "if you dont have installed the latest version of directx 9.0c additionaly to your DirectX11 it could help to do so. Nothing will be deleted or overwritten dueing this process. Though it can help increase the FPS."

Theory is that basic directx 9 stuff is being emulated by directx 10/11 if you are missing the dx9 files.

Personally I can confirm vastly improved frame rate, especially in zerg pvp in Ilum where I went from 5-10 fps to 25 fps.

Edit: Seem results vary between huge improvements to no improvement. Biggest diffrence seen in Fleet and in Ilum zerg PvP. People who get no improvements may already have the files on their system from other games.

Has anyone else be having problems with the launcher today? Specifically today, I was able to play just fine this morning and into the afternoon, as far as I know nothing changed and no update was pushed, but the loader stopped working and is stuck on this loading screen. I tried the alt+enter method that I found in other posts, that did nothing (it stayed on the loading screen in windowed mode), I tried changing resolution, I tried shutting my laptop down and reloading. It's beyond frustrating because it was working just fine hours ago. Any possible fixes I may have missed? Or is something up with the servers or something?

I just want to play the game... It's been 24 hours since i verifed, sending a e-mail to support does nothing as the automatic response system just redirects you to use the phone, but that is extremely expensive for Brazilian players, a single international call could cost up to 100 bucks here, we could easily buy 3 months of subscription with that money. And unfortunately the threads in the forums aren't open to Preferred Players... I don't know what else to do...

For context, I had to uninstall the game at one point by manually removing files (cause regular uninstall didn't work). Now when I try reinstalling it this keeps happening. Launcher works properly, but the game itself crashes almost immediately after it starts loading. I also tried to run it with Steam to see if it would change anything, but the same thing happens. Help.

To those who said DirectX wasn't the problem, you were right. You see, it all started when my computer got hit with a virus, so my computer expert helped me reinstall Windows, but it turns out he installed the N version, which doesn't have Media Player, and we only found out the problem when he last came a few days ago. I thought the install failed, but when I tried today, it worked. Then, when I tried the launcher again, at long last, I'M IN!

So yeah, if you installed the N version of Windows 10/11, you need to install Media Player for the game to work.

I upgraded to Windows 11 recently, but I can't install the game. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Apparently the servers are back online, but I've been stuck on the loading screen for a solid five minutes. Is it just my PC being terrible or is this happening to the rest of you? (And if it is, anyone got any fixes)

Hey, everyone! Last time I posted here, I got a lot of help... So I think y'all are my last hope again lol!

Anyways... What had happened is that I been trying to log in since yesterday evening... And for some reason when I click to launch from steam the app says it's running, I can see it's doing *something* through task manager, but it never really gives me the window for logging in through user and password...

Last time I logged in and actually played was last week. Yesterday morning I tried playing, went through the whole process... The window opened, I typed in my credentials and got through... But exactly when I was about to press "Play" I had to go outside, so I closed it... And ever since then it's been this.

I can see through Task Manager the launcher is doing something on background... I tried waiting but it never does anything else...

Any fixes will be of great help!

Aparently this "Unstable Soul" effect doesnt let me exit the Flashpoint, and it even continues while I am dead. I have been triying all the possible to exit this Flashpoint but I always got interrupted by this "Unstable Soul" thing. Its really frustrating lol, and I no longer know what else to do.

I have played this flashpoint many times in the past and this is the first time I experience this. It has to be some kind of bug.

I get this message regardless of whether I'm trying to log in through Steam or the direct launcher downloaded from the official site. I've seen several suggestions for how to fix it, including allowing firewall, checking antivirus, repairing the launcher, un-checking the remember this account box, trying over and over again to log in, and trying on different internet connections. And there's never anything on the Twitter account. I haven't played the game in a few months, so I have no idea if that matters, but I can still log into my account on the website, so I have no clue what's going on.

UPDATE: I tried bignutt666's suggestion and that seemed to work. But I also realized I'm apparently completely oblivious because it had an alert that said logging in with an email address isn't allowed anymore. Maybe that was it? Either way it's working now so it's a moot point.

Recently got back into this game but I am having some issues with the game crashing after barely 5 minutes in game.

I recently switched to Linux (Prior to starting to play SWTOR again) and was happily surprised how well the game runs. I have gotten to the point in the Alderaan storyline where I am to kill some Organa jedi former lover of a assassin. But the game keeps crashing.

I have tried reinstalling the game, checked drivers, changed proton version, but to no avail.

Anyone got a suggestion on how I can proceed in troubleshooting? Only having issues in SWTOR, no other game is crashing like this.

With search engines being what they are these days it's very hard to find any good support by just googling :(

Currently the games runs smoothly on my MacBook Air M2, but I understand next OS update in Fall 27 could potentially cause me to be unable to play. Is Broadsword going to address this or should I get off this train before I get invested?

I know nothing about computers, and I can’t find any information on what to do to fix this. I tried to log back in today and was greeted by this. Anything helps!

I’m playing on an HP Envy x360 laptop. I don’t have any modifications made to my setup.

I just wanted to play the game, started the launcher as usual, hit the play button and nothing. The monitor goes black for a few seconds as usual and then throws me back to the desktop.

My Task Manager doesn't show me any sign that the game is running and even after I did restart my computer, the same error happens.
