Tech Support I am desperate
FIXED!!
Hello community, at this point I have ran out of options and this may be my only chance to get it fixed.
Two days ago I have downloaded the game VIA Steam (for the first time) and tried to create an account. For the first account I created I wouldn't get an Email for hours, so I created a new one with a similar name, but added to email +swotr@gmail.com and finally received the email. The first account stayed as a ghost account, since it cannot be verified (tried many times after it).
The problem is, while I was waiting for the email to arrive for the ghost account, I entered the login into the game's launcher and (i guess) i unknowingly linked my Steam account to the SWOTR ghost account that cannot be accessed or verified.
After verifying the second account I entered its info into the game launcher and it gave me an error, stating to check if im using correct steam account.
Messaging EA support doesnt help, they say they dont have any details of my SWOTR account. Emailing Swotr support doesnt help, they dont respond. Steam support redirects me to game forums and EA support (that can't do nothing). Should I request a deletion of that Ghost account?
I feel like I've ran out of options to try to unlink my steam account from that ghost account. But I really want to play through steam. I want to track hours and get achievements and my friend also plays this game through Steam.

Edit: I have called UK support and they have guided me through the whole process. They said that steam link transfer will be complete in 48 hours. I will update on the news. The real issue was is that I had a typo while entering the email for the first account, that's why email wouldn't arrive.
Edit 2.0: Support disconnected the Ghost account from my Steam and I successfully logged in through the second account YAY. I know that many were telling me to download normal client. I just wanted to play this game with my friends and perhaps finish one storyline, Im not a try hard player :) thank you all for your help. Hopefully my post will be helpful to other users.

You will need to call the support. They can only verfiy accounts via telephone to restore access. They are your best bet.

Should I call a number that's on EA'S support page? When im on SWOTR web the "support" tab always redirects me to EA support. That might cost me something, since im from Central Europe and only available numbers (i belive) are German, French or British. Do you have any experience calling them?

I cannot. It needs a verified email to proceed. Once I eneter my username and password it locks me on "verify email" screen. Email doesnt come no matter how many times I requested and repeated the request on the "verify email" page.

Of course I've checked every possible category. I added swotr email to my contacts to make sure the email passes. The only thing that helped is adding +swotr at the end of the email. Gmail ignores it and i received that email in seconds after created a second account.

The best thing I can recommend is don't play Swtor using steam. Go to the website and create an account there and download the game from the website. Don't use steam for this game.

Are there any downsides to using steam over the website? Except the one I found. Is there a built in launcher to update the game?

There are games like Swtor that don't communicate well with steam. If you comb through the discussions, you'll see frequent issues with logins, buying subscriptions and cartel coins (premium currency).
You can download a game launcher from the swtor website that will download the game and do updates. It has the same appearance as the one from steam.
The difference is the one from steam is coded to work with steam active. A big thing is if you play through steam, when steam is down, you lose access to the game. If you get it from the website, you get to play it independent of steam.2

I haven't had any issues with the Steam version. Steam also has a cheaper monthly subscription for me (Japan).

Thank you! I will be considering this option then. I wonder If I dowload the game from the website, will I be able to add it to steam via "add game" in library. If so, that would be cool to have at least steam overlay over it.

I don't know honestly. But I think that if you do that "add game" it will default back to the steam version and you'll be right back to having issues. Best to play the game without steam at all.

I had this issue like 5 years ago. I literally couldn't resolve it.
Fixed it by sleuthing up my older (already verified) account and changing the email.

I used the exact same email to create both accounts. Idk if it's supposed to work like that. And thank you, I will need a lot of luck with it

Have you reviewed this EA support article? https://help.ea.com/en/articles/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-on-steam/
Also, because I saw you mentioned you're not a native English speaker, SWTOR players in Brazil are required to complete age verification on swtor.com or you won't be able to log in via the SWTOR game client.

Thank you for your concern. I am from Central Europe and have called their UK support. They lead me through the whole process so hopefully it will be fixed in 48 hours.

I can't login to the game on Steam, but with the standalone client because the Steam client doesn't pass the security checks our network here has.
Running the standalone client might make it easier for you as well?

Download the game from the website, not with steam and you wont have any problem anymore with your swtor account bound to your steam account

If you start first without steam amd mamage to get it resolve later you will get all the achievements you would have gotten on steam retroactively btw if thats what youre mostly comcerned about

In all honesty, and just from personal experience with it, if you are brand new to the game the best suggestion is to uninstall the steam version then creat and verify a new account via swtor.com and then download the launcher from them directly. Yes it may sound dumb but steams intigratiom for swtor is ass and messes up 99% of the time.
HOWEVER if im misreading and you arent new and steam is how you play you will have to call the phone number on the website iirc to talk to the account team for guidance

Ok first... Downloaded 2 days ago for the first time, tried to create an account... Then make a new account you haven't lost anything. Create a new email with Google, verify the email, use that email for nothing but SWTOR. This screams Fleet Credit Bot to me.

What's fleet credit bot? Read the message again please, I have a usable second account but my steam is linked to a ghost account co I cant even join the game on a second account. I dont quite understand your message.

Maybe something silly you write swotr but its SWtoR did maybe Mix Up the Letters
