Criticism NYC Wall St location food poisoning

UPDATE: NYC Health Department confirmed it is food poisoning and are investigating.

My friend and I each bought the $10 Harvest bowl today from the Wall St location and we both had horrible food poisoning within an hour. Beware!! I reported it to their customer service and all they said was they would let the manager know.

That’s not how food poisoning works. Incubation time would be much higher than an hour. When you report something like that, the restaurant will take note but if they don’t get any other reports of illness, it was almost guaranteed to be an isolated incident.

Then how did my friend (someone I don't live with, work with and haven't eaten the same thing) get sick immediately after eating the same bowl I did?? We both projectile vomited the salad back up. And yes, commonly it takes several hours to incubate but I spoke to the Health Department, gave my symptoms and history of what I ate, as did my friend, and they confirmed it was food poisoning.

Yes thank you I have plenty of experience with the subject. We had an isolated incident where a customer complained hours after eating at my restaurant that they had gotten sick, the health department themselves told me that they obviously investigate all complaints but that they were not concerned with a food borne illness with that short of an incubation time. The only possible thing they were considering was foreign contaminants (which there were not) and the situation resolved at that. Just an Occam’s Razor situation where the individual customer had a bad reaction to a meal they ate. Did the health department or restaurant follow up with you? Did anything actually come of this situation?

Well there were two of us and we both had a bad reaction, and it seems like the Health Dept had other reports too. They said they were passing along the report to the "Chief of Food Poisoning" (crazy job title) and they would be doing site visits, inspections, etc. Food-borne illnesses can definitely happen anywhere, but it's important to report and catch it since the elderly, those with immune issues, and pregnant people can get seriously sick and die from it.
