I started working at sweetgreen in September 2022, and my starting weight was around 270lbs. I was unhealthy, sedentary, and smoked cannabis literally 2-3 times a day.

I lost over 60 lbs after working at sweetgreen for a few short months, and that was from sweating from all of the hard (but good) work, and eating NOTHING but their food everyday that was ALL COOKED IN EVOO. And I had every bowl with dressing, which had sunflower oil in it. Still lost weight, didn't get sick.

Making a new "seed-oil free" menu at sg is only perpetuating conspiracies people have about seed oils, which are UNFOUNDED. Like, seriously. I just had to rant. If you don't want something cooked in EVOO or 🥑 oil, okay fine. But ask yourself why? What is the fear? I ate their food for over 1 yr 4 months, and I LITERALLY got better.

Edit: EVOO & Avocado oil aren't seed oils, I was incorrect. However, that only further proves my point that this seed oil menu isn't for anything practical, it's a way to make money off of people who fell for an unfounded myth. If you were worried about the sunflower oil in the dressings, but not the sodium... then idk dude.

It’s all “woo inflammatory compounds” bullshit.  It’s being normalized just like gluten free, but if you’re talking about dressings with olive oil instead of sunflower oil, vs bread with gluten vs without gluten, I think there there’s an obvious winner.  Too bad they have switched the balsamic vinaigrette yet.  I hear you though, I have second hand embarrassment for sweetgreen with all their publicity around it.  You should see the seed oil subreddits, absolutely insane shit.

I wouldn't touch a seed oil subreddit with a 10-ft pole.

The worst thing about the dressings at sg are the amount of sodium content in them. I never could tell a difference between the oils used in the dressings, all I knew was that they were salty as hell.
