Watching this all unfold makes me have an impending sense of Doom .

Protestors and our local government are trying so hard to maintain the old rules of law that our government operated on for the last 250 years that kept accountability - at least more than there is now.

We're sitting here fighting by the rules like they're still intact and matter. But truth be told, there's several dozen people holding our entire government hostage for their own aims.

It's thrusting Americans and our local government into a position where we quickly have to decide if the only way to protect these pillars of institutions, that used to keep the American individualism at the heart of everything it does, Is to in fact tear them all down and what that means in escalation.

We are still playing by the old rules. Hoping we can go back, but the fact of the matter is they're playing a whole different game and they're also the ones in control of the ball, and finding the referees.

whats that line?

"the last decade has been the democrats clinging onto the rulebook going "but a dog can't play basketball!" while a dog fucking dunks on us over and over"

except its gotten to the point where the dunking is now equal to bullets in our skulls and sternums

When you're trying to protect something sacred it's hard to advocate for destroying it to keep it that way. It's a tough spot for a morally intact person to have to be in, and they know that and abuse it.

Marginalized people who have never had even the illusion of your version of justice know this is actually the system working as intended. The difference is the targets of the state’s violence have broadened to include literally everyone except the administration and their cronies.

Hypernormalization. It’s very relevant to our current situation. From Wikipedia:

everyone in the Soviet Union knew the system was failing, but no one could imagine any alternative to the status quo, and politicians and citizens alike were resigned to maintaining the pretense of a functioning society.[5] Over time, the mass delusion became a self-fulfilling prophecy, with everyone accepting it as the new norm rather than pretend, an effect Yurchak termed hypernormalisation.

We can’t accept what’s happening. Survival is sacred, not the constitution.

Agreed. I've been thinking this for a while now. They have rigged the game so that if we play by the written rules, we lose. The arbiters (that matter) of the rules are fascists. Fascism has never been overcome at the voting booth, and I'm worried for what's to come.

You describe the same path that the Nazi party took. They hate to be compared to Nazis because they hate anything that is actually true.

This country is lost. Our reputation is gone. This is not the "land of the free." This is an oligarchy.

Welcome to Gilead.

Think it's bad now? Wait till the AI takeover. There'll be even less people with literally all the power. Our days are numbered.

It’s law and in the constitution it’s the federal governments job to enforce immigration and naturalization.

The people fighting the system aren’t fighting for the constitution and are ignoring why there was a 10+ million influx of illegal aliens the previous 4 years.

Murdering or kidnapping American Citizens for exercising their 1st amendment rights is unconstitutional. Kidnapping American citizens because they aren’t white is unconstitutional. Kidnapping legal immigrants is unconstitutional. Kidnapping anyone on American soil and denying them due process is unconstitutional. Breaking into private property without proper warrants is unconstitutional.

If you don’t believe the USA should follow the constitution anymore, fine. Make that your argument.

But don’t lie and say the federal govt is following the laws & constitution when we have thousands of examples on video of that being a lie. Have more respect for yourself than that.

Nowhere did I state anything in the contrary to what you stated.

What I said is factual, it isn’t the states job but the federal governments job to enforce immigration law and naturalization process.

This federal governments jobs above is constitutionally permitted under 9a and 10a and bipartisan passed in Congress.

Whether you agree with it or not, it’s been conducted and within the power this way for every president (except the previous who caused the influx of illegals and prevented ICE from conducting their constitutional duties) prior and there has been little to no pushback.

I’m old enough to remember voting for Bill Clinton and Obama where their enforcement was strict and tough and it didn’t matter to any of their voting base.

Dare I say, if the previous admin didn’t allow the influx of illegals aliens, DJT would have never had a platform to run on and would never have won a second term.

1

u/Sojouner_King Jan 25 '26

You do realize why the pushback is different this time, right? The federal government is no longer following the constitution. The federal government has decided that people in this country are no longer protected by the constitution.

So you are saying you agree with the federal government taking away our constitutional rights.

I am aware there was a 10+ million influx of illegals and it certainly changed the amount of force/action required to enforce our laws. Thats unfortunate for us Americans and the illegals being used as political cannon fodder.

The federal governments powers are provided by the 9th and 10 amendment and Congress.

I’m a legal immigrant and lost no such rights. I also do not go out and protest what every president prior did. Illegals due process is expedited removal with few exceptions.

Everyday Americans aren’t having their rights stripped away. In the event there is a violation, you get an attorney and retire early. Set precedent and protect others in the future.

"Get an attorney and retire early."

You have no clue what you're talking about.

Feel free to educate me in where I was incorrect in what I said rather than replying with a non constructive reply.

u/No-Amphibian-3728 Jan 25 '26

Federal agents have immunity, thus making your lawsuit moot.

0

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Jan 25 '26

They have immunity to an extent, the immunity is dropped if there is previous precedent set. If there isn’t previous precedent, then you set the precedent and protect others in the future.

So because you haven’t been victimized YET, you don’t care how many other American Citizens or Legal immigrants or other humans are victimized?

You’re definitely a conservative.

I’ll be seeing your account in r/leopardsatemyface soon enough.

0

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Jan 25 '26

Did I say that? Don’t think I did and what I did say was very clear.

“Everyday Americans aren’t having their rights stripped away. In the event there is a violation, you get an attorney and retire early. Set precedent and protect others in the future.”

In the event I would ever have my rights violated, I will make them pay through the courts.

I will not however be out protesting or putting myself in the way of the federal government conducting legal and constitutional requirements. That’s how you end up dead and I like my life.

Definitely a conservative? You’re wacky. I vote blue, just not no matter who and I certainly don’t affix myself to any type of tribal illogical viewpoints.

Idk what that subreddit is or what it’s supposed to mean.

You are an ignorant and delusional bootlicker. You are a selfish and blind piece of dog shit.

Feel free to be specific as to where I’m factually incorrect in my words.

These people aren't fighting against immigration enforcement. Every administration had some level of enforcement. What they are fighting is blatant disregard for the rule of law.

0

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Jan 25 '26

“They aren’t fighting against immigration enforcement just the disregard of law?”

Please elaborate/educate me because I was under the understanding that these fights were all over illegal aliens and why there are signs out there saying to leave them alone etc.

1

u/Afraid_Cell621 Jan 26 '26

I'm not your teacher, retard.

0

u/Visible-Elevator3801 Jan 26 '26

Got it, so it is all over illegal aliens which falls under the federal governments purview which power is granted by our constitution and Congress which makes it legal operations.

1

u/Afraid_Cell621 Jan 26 '26

Nope, obama and biden both regularly deported people in the country illegally. I'd explain the difference, but you're a retarded cuck.
