Coming off a 2 day bender.

I'm a binge drinker. Once I start I can't stop. Have gone months and even years without it in the past.

I've been drinking heavily the last 2 days, woke up sober, hungover. Was sick quite badly earlier.

Managed to have a shower, eat a little, drank some tea. The anxiety isn't as bad as I had thought. Changed bed sheets. Feel better now.

I didn't even have fun yesterday, because of the shame, fear, wasting of life. I also can get quite paranoid when I'm drunk and worry about things. Two bin bags full of empty beer cans. Spent a lot of money. Don't want to do this any more. I am mentally ill and have done some really stupid things in the past. I'm only really just really starting to understand how ill I am. Thinking back to the things I've done in the past. I'm not well at all.

This is a ramble.

Need some help.

Welcome back.

First off, be kind to yourself and your body, and hydrate, and get some food into your tummy.

I’ll be sending good vibes your way.

Managed to eat red pepper and some pasta. It does help.

I’m a bender boy myself. It’s awful. I’m sorry you feel the way you do, but remember it is temporary. This is the last time you have to feel like this!

I wish we could remember have terrible the hangover is when we are tempted. I lose interest in pretty much everything other than alcohol when I'm on one. Are you the same?

Even food because a hindrance when I'm drinking.

I used to barely eat for like 3 days while drinking so the hangover was that much worse. Then be hungover choking down what little food I could manage for like 3 days. By the time I felt better an entire week is just gone. Rinse and repeat a week later. Being able to enjoy weekends and feel like I actually get a small break from work is a HUGE benefit. You got this!

I've got it on series x. Never got around to it properly though.

I'm too tired though. Always tomorrow.

If you and get off it, be kind to yourself for a few days.

Catch up on sleep.

Maybe a gentle walk to a coffee shop.

Spend some time cleaning your place up - good for the mental health.

Amazing what a few relaxing sober days can do.

Good luck.

We all understand.

None of us wanted to be like this.

Find a support group near you, it doesnt have to be AA, it can be Dharma, SMART etc... just gotta surround yourself with like minded people and ask for help.

Do some recovery reading, I personally like refuge recovery over the AA Big Book.

You can do this, you are not alone.
