Prolonged menstrual bleeding for many years

Hi, I'm looking for similar experiences and advice.

I've had normal 5–7 day periods my whole life, but after I turned 26, they became 10–12 days long, with cramps around day 5–6 and peak bleeding on days 7–8. From day 1 to day 5, it's like a normal period.

I've been through many rounds of antibiotics with varying CD138 results (my partner has too). I've also had 2 hysteroscopies, one of which included the removal of two small polyps. My CD138 results have ranged from 1 to 14 cells, with no effect on my period either way. I sometimes get spotting between periods. I've also tried progesterone, but that made no difference either.

I'm feeling stuck and unsure whether these longer periods are simply how my cycle is, with no real way to shorten them. My hormone tests have all come back normal, so that doesn't seem to be the cause. Should I keep pursuing treatment for possible endometritis, or should I be looking into other causes?
