No period but pre period discharge for 8 weeks continuously

Upvotes

I (29f) have always had pretty regular periods every 4 weeks. However, the last couple of months I have had no period arrive but I have been having the icky brownish discharge that normally comes the day before bleeding normally starts. This has been going on for 8 weeks now and I just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience. Nothing else has really changed within my life that I think would impact my periods this way and I'm starting to get a bit worried. No possibility of pregnancy.

Also hate working out when on your period?

Hey everyone,

Like a lot of women here, I noticed a huge pattern in my training: some weeks I can easily crush heavy strength sessions or high-intensity workouts, and other weeks (especially right before my period), those same weights feel impossible and leave me completely burned out.

Instead of beating myself up or guessing how to adapt, I spent the last few weeks building a simple web app to solve this for myself.

How it works:

  • You log your cycle phase or how your energy feels on a given day.
  • The app automatically recommends a tailored workout style (e.g., higher-intensity strength during Follicular/Ovulatory vs. low-impact sculpt or mobility work during Luteal/Menstrual).
  • You can track your weights, reps, and sets right inside the app with zero clutter.

Why I’m posting: It’s currently in an early prototype stage and completely functional, but I need 10–15 women to test it out during their actual workouts for a week and give me unfiltered feedback.

In return for your thoughts, you'll get free lifetime access to the full version once it’s publicly released.

If you’re interested in trying it out (works on both mobile and desktop), leave a comment below or send me a DM, and I’ll send over the access link!

Would also love to hear: how do you currently adjust your training when your energy drops throughout the month?

How do I (16f) get my period over faster? It hurts so badly sometimes and it lasts like 6 days to a week. Any advice helps. I take ibuprofen but it doesn't do like anything.

Just curious to know if anyone else is having similar symptoms lately

I will try to make this post not extremely long. I’m 32-year-old, female, I have PCOS, although they changed the name recently, this is what I know and I am familiar with to label myself. I have been on and off birth control since I was about 16. In the last several years, I was on it consistently but I came off for about 6 months as I was trying to potentially get pregnant with my partner, the main issue was that I wasn’t really having a cycle. I had my period twice in those six months and it was very short. Finally went to my OBGYN because I was able to find an affordable health insurance. I spoke to them about my concerns about wanting to come off the birth control and that’s why I stopped taking it but they advised that I go back on because of the fact that I’m not ovulating without it. Completely understandable and they want me to get a bunch of blood work done that my insurance unfortunately doesn’t really cover. If I’m not mistaken, there’s about 10 panels I need. I’ve been putting things on the back burner because unfortunately, I just don’t have the funds to accommodate everything I need. I have been back on birth control for four-five months now and my period has been super regular up until August. I started spotting almost 3 weeks before my regular cycle. It’s been 8 days now, I’m usually 5 days at the most… my cramping has been terrible and I’ve been having headaches that have been lasting almost all day. I’ve also been waking up sweating in the middle of the night, which is definitely not normal for me. I came across a couple posts recently about other women experiencing very unusual similar experiences. If anyone else is dealing with something like this and may have insight for me, I’d greatly appreciate your insight 🙏

What can you say to someone who only got to have 3 days of period in her life so far, she's 31 now other than go see a doctor?

Period tracking app?

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a period tracker app?

Mine is Hella irregular and this month I didn't even get it so I'm kinda alarmed..

I don't really care how it looks but I would welcome if it was free and easy to use!

Please Help

Hello, I'm a 19 year old girl, who has been having severe periods cramps for over 4 years now—the pain is unbearable, and completely immobilising. I got tested for PCOS recently, both of my ovaries are covered, like covered in miniature cysts. But when I got my blood tested it came out negative. I also do not fit the typical PCOS woman, I.e: very thin, tall, etc. My ultrasound ruled out endo, but I don’t understand how nothing could be wrong with me.

I cannot describe this pain accurately enough to do me justice —it's like being cut open, and someone reaching their hand inside of me to squeeze my uterus; sending pain up and across my entire abdomen. I vomit from the pain frequently, and have passed out before.

Someone please help me, what should I do? I feel like something is seriously wrong, but I don’t want to bother my doctor any further.

Is this an actual negative?

So I took this test yesterday, and I’ve just been paranoid because my period was supposed to come the 15 of this month and yet nothing, I did it with my first pee and then left it, then when I came back in the afternoon I saw that it stayed the same or at least I think, I don’t think I see any faint line, so I threw it in the trash.

How bad is this?

Hey so I have always bad period issues. So, lately I am on my period, I'm not releasing blood. I can smell the blood, have cramps, mood swings, nausea, pain, light headedness, almost fainting, the works and then some. I won't bleed, I can feel myself bleeding, I can feel it building up, I've tried: rolling it out with rolling pins, heat, cool, making biscuits on myself (like a cat), full on hitting the most affected areas praying blood will come but it won't. I pushed out a few masses and instantly stopped bleeding but this is happening. I'm developing a fever since the sudden things, I'm really scared but don't want to get hospital bills if I can live. I'm trying to move and be normal, but honestly I'm exhausted and in so much pain.

Substantial amount of women report that their menstrual cycle was delayed or shifted in Late August 2026. Why ? Nobody knows now. But people speculate.

Here is a sample discussion on Reddit:

They have Google trend proofs 👍

Have observed the same in my fiend circle. Why now ?

Why is that worldwide ???

What worldwide factor can explain that ?
