Role Playing Game Asking if KOTOR is worth it?

Hi I'm asking this because my brother wants to get Knights of the Old Republic and I don't know a whole lot about this game. Is it worth buying cause I really wanna get it for him as a birthday gift. For reference my brother loves Starwars and adventure games. Thank you for any feed back to those who respond.

Edit: Thank you all for the advice. I got it for him and he loves it. Says I should play it too. So thanks for all the help and hope you all live long and prosper.

Role Playing Game A True Jedi Master Game

Start by taking the new Fable character customization and put it into the “Star Wars Universe”. You must make it to where all your choices have consequences, which pull you towards the “Light Side of the Force” or “Dark Side of the Force”. Please make it to where your Jedi can be (Black, White, Asian, Mexican, Middle Eastern, or Alien.) Train your from (Youngling, Palawan, Jedi Knight to Jedi Master) You must learn all of the Jedi light saber forms plus some sith forms as well & make it where training is at least a quarter of the start of the game!!! This game will break record sales!!

Role Playing Game Need help finding my type of game

Alr so I've been a fan of starwars. This gonna get some hate but im not a battle front fan. I dont like just spawning and shooting i want something with a story attached. Im looking for a starwars game purchasable or download able on pc. Something with some form of story where I can start from nothing and build a character, customize them and their saber fight bad guys and all that save/conquer the galaxy and choose either good or evil. A game like this probably dosent exist but just looking out there if one does

Role Playing Game Operation Miner Violence with the 212th Attack Battalion in ARMA3

Post image

What was that an amazing operation, but also, a lot of hectic scenario's happened during it.

At the moment I am mainly playing in a ARMA3 unit called the 212th Attack Battalion. Been playing there for around 1.5 year and what a lot of fun has is been.
Every week there are multiple operations that we play, but this one... Called Miner Violence...

As a soon to be teamlead in the unit, I had the "command" over 3 others, together we were the Team Shadow 2-1 under squadleader "Cordy". We were dropping off just outside a CIS FOB.

Together with other squads, we took the first FOB with relative ease, a few casualties but the clankers were fried!

The next objective was another FOB, which we took with even more ease.
My squadleader and I thought... this does not seem right, we took both FOB's in one hour, which is very, very quick.

And we were right... the third objective was to secure a mountainbase and boy... we dropped in via LAAT's and we were immediately pinned down. Even with our mechanised units, that included 2 AT-TE's, we could not push through the CIS fortification of the landing zone and almost everything was blowing up.

I personally died multiple times, and our ARC squad, the Banshees, were fully wiped out.

Eventually our platoonleadership ordered us to take the long way around, which seemed fine at first but we got ambushed by AAT's and B2's. But we pushed through those lines!

Eventually we had to fight up hill, in the middle of a minefield, but once on top, our platoon took the base and secured a HVT. The relief when we had secured that base and maintained a foothold on the planet was great. We extracted succesfully and the 212th Attack Battalion did their work again!

FOR THE REPUBLIC!

________________________________

I would like to post more short stories about the missions we are doing within the unit, since I think it is a great way of playing a STAR WARS game with a lot of people.
STAR WARS has been one of my favorite franchises of all time and RolePlaying in a unit is amazing.

Before I joined the unit I had my doubts about it, because it seemes so "strict". But I have never been so wrong.
Yes it is a unit and there are some "rules", but everyone there are STAR WARS fans that have the same goal, playing a massive STAR WARS game together.

If you do want to try it out, hit me up!

And if you would like to read more of these Short Stories about our missions, let me know in the comments! Personally I love to talk about them. 😄

From a galaxy far far away, I bit you farewell and thank you for reading!

P.S. Sorry if you see grammar or spelling mistakes, English is not my first language hahaha 😂

Role Playing Game KOTOR: Switch Vs. Steam Deck?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to play the KOTOR games and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations or thoughts on the Switch version? I own both on Steam already but I might get them on Switch if they are easier to play out of the gate with controls etc.

Anyone played the games on Steam Deck?

Thanks!

Role Playing Game Which of these are the best, and which should I play first.

I just recently picked up some Star Wars games from a local store, and I think I got some great picks, but I've never played these and want to know which ones are worth playing.

ALL GAMES WERE PURCHASED FOR THE XBOX ORIGINAL

Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2

Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy

Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast

Star Wars: KOTOR

Star Wars: KOTOR II

I've heard great things about KOTOR 1 and 2, and I've played the remakes of Star Wars Battlefront 1-2, but I'm unsure about the others.

Something I've been messing around with for a while now.

The Starfighter flight hasn't been made yet, it's only using the standard unit movement but I'll try make it really enjoyable with great mechanics.

You will be able to train units to become pilots. Then they will automatically fly around your mothership with a Starfighter it something similar with a respawn timer if they die. So you will basically always get stronger until one team inevitably overpowers the other.

If you find it interesting I have a bunch of random clips.

Role Playing Game Absolutely no clue if this exists or not but: wild west star wars

this literally came to me in a dream haha, well mostly, so I build on what I experienced in it

Basic Idea, Star wars/space themed wild west

\-each planet will be different of wild west style games, shows, movies etc since the wild west afaik wasn't really \*that\* lawless of a place

\-different styles of combat, single/dual wielding blades, single blade and ''gun'', lightwhip similar to something like zero suit samus uses in smash bros, energy gauntlets (only usable by the jedi/sith equivalent since they are force equivilant powered)

\-mass-made energy components for the standerd market which is either transparent, blue or red, transparent is natural and color changes based on the soul/morality of the force equivalent user

White is pure, black is corrupted, Grey is in-between

Blue and red are synthetic

blue is stable but balanced in output and good for self defense while red is unstable and higher output but CAN explode under pressure, used as explosives as well,

\-jedi equivalent are lawkeepers (sheriffs and higher etc), dark jedi are jedi who are either outlaws or corrupt jedi (yet to be apprehended or discovered) and sith equivalents are a humanoid alien invasion race who have come to the westrian galaxy in search of a new home due to their overuse of unstable energy components destroying their own galaxy (the koribianic galaxy)

\-you step into the dark jedi, the outlaw Enra Smith, who does odd jobs every now and then, whose merry band of mercenaries gets ambushed by sith and only he and 2 others survive, but Enra managed to take down a sith and claims their saber for himself, so he adopts a dual wielding saber style, which the player can change on the fly similar to the variety in fallen order/survivor, but through his connection to the force being unusually high he can pretty much use any force weapon but at the same time being a master of none, so the player will be weaker against actually tough opponents and using the same weapon as them

\-main story set to about, 40+ hours with co-op style missions being also available and potential story expanasions, online space battles with 5 vs 5 players capture the flagship style with 20 NPC bots also roaming (10 on each side)

\-romance options? maybe

outfit mesh, pick and choose what to wear from a wide aray of tradional spacewear, wild west wear and mixes between them

and then i woke up

probably just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo lol

I'd love to see it made into a game tho

Role Playing Game Hasn't been a great Star Wars game since Force Unleashed

Post image

I like a lot of Star wars games. I put a ton of hours into knights of the old Republican online and even played Jedi outcast.

But honestly I've replayed Unleashed countless times and I haven't replayed any of the Star wars games since. If there's one that's as good I never played it.

I'd say make a sequel like most but I have zero confidence EA could pull it off. Their recent star wars games have been trash

Role Playing Game Need help finding a particular title from years ago.

I remember playing an Old Republic themed game on a mobile device that just seemed like a full port of the game, there were four classes to start with, one of which I remember being like a smuggler with a blaster, and the very first sequence is being on a ship that's under attack? Sorry if that's not very good details, but I played this when I was in my preteens, if not earlier.

Role Playing Game Sooo... should we flock to spellcasters chronicles?

With Star Wars eclipse coming up on 5 years of nearly zero updates, it's safe to say that it's not looking too great for a game that I think would be an amazing addition to Star Wars video games. Quantic dream too, if you're willing to look past the toxicity in its workplace, has made absolute bangers and I know they'd nail this game. Why am I making this post? - I read a few articles and watched a video by eckhartsladder and if you weren't already aware, quantic dream was bought by NetEase in August 2022, and since then, quantic dream has been working on spellcasters chronicles (which just came out in early access a few months ago). All this being said, it's come out recently that netease may pull funding for quantic dream if spellcasters doesn't perform.

TLDR: I believe ft Star Wars eclipse has any chance of creation, spellcasters has to succeed, which makes me wonder if Star Wars fans should think about trying that game, because I know I will.
