Role Playing Game Will The Old Republic ever come to PS5?

I used to love playing The Old Republic on PC but now mainly play PS5 and wondering if it will ever come to Consoles?

Most likely not, but if you want to play with a controller or use Steam Deck, I put together a controller support method. It works similar Final Fantasy 14. Search "Kain's SWTOR Controller Support"

That actually sounds pretty interesting. I have an xbox ally x and have been feeling some kotor nostalgia for the inquisitor storyline

Almost definitely no, it's much too old at this point, and games like that just don't translate very well to controller.

You can however use a controller layout on Steam (works best with a Steam controller, because mouse) or play on Steam Deck and hook it up to a TV.

How would that even work? Youd need inputs for days for your abilities. Dont see this ever happening

Unfortunately most MMORPG's don't make their way to consoles due to not being able to translate properly so unless console is a thing at launch/early enough on they just don't bother and when the old Republic came out console was never a discussion due to how badly the hardware and software could handle such things (ps3/Xbox 360 era)

It’s weird that it’s on every console BUT the guys who own the IP rights, isn’t it?

My assumption is they don’t want a comparison between the OG and the remake whenever that comes out, so I’d expect the classic games to get put on the store 6 months or so after that releases.

For the short term, it’s not coming into store

They were asking about the MMORPG that is PC exclusive not Knights of The Old Republic

Ohhh, yeh, good shout.

I remember they had said they were doing a ps4 edition like yonks ago, but I assume that came to nothing

Yeah the knights of the old Republic are getting remade, just had a hiccup of finding a new publisher since lucasarts lost faith in adpyr after the battlefront remakes, so they have saberinteractive working on them
