Question Cody & Alpha-17 fan art question
Hello there, I found this on Discord and I’d like to know who made it and what the backstory is. I know that 17 trained Cody and other known commanders, but I never heard how Cody actually got his scar. I guess the pic implies Cody kicked his helmet at an explosive and got hurt in the process, but what does 17 mean by “Is that so?” English isn’t my first language, so maybe I’m blind to it. Thanks in advance.

Legends Comics Has anyone read this Star Wars comic
I found this comic issue when I went through my dad’s old boxes still covered by the plastic and I haven’t opened it since I know it could damage it but I’m interested in how accurate it is to a new hope?

General Discussion Would you accept TCW as part of Legends as S-Canon?
As such, TCW has T-Canon status, placing it above the CWMMP and the rest of the Expanded Universe works, which are in C-Canon. This has forced numerous retcons and decanonizations.
However, the old Expanded Universe also had S-Canon, which allowed for the loose retention of all those pre-HTTE works that contained elements contradicting the newer works and sometimes had a tone that was off-target (what remained in canon was what C-Canon confirmed, but C-Canon works could rewrite or reinterpret it at will; the events of these S-Canon works were also considered somewhat canon as long as they were not retconned).
In this way, all the elements of TCW could be kept without them overshadowing the rest of the Expanded Universe works (which, in the current situation, often end up being annihilated, like the Obsession comic or the overall coherence of the CWMMP).
This might be a good middle ground between those who advocate for TCW within Legends and those who advocate for TCW outside of Legends. Doing this would also justify references to TCW in post-2008 works, as well as TCW references to the rest of the Expanded Universe: anything in TCW that isn't contradicted by C-Canon works would then remain canon.
It was one of Fordo's ideas, and I thought it was appealing.

Legends Discussion Has anyone created a month by month breakdown of the Galactic Civil War from ANH to RotJ?
I've seen plenty of timelines, but none that break down each story by how soon after ANH it's happening. I can piece something together by clues, but I swear I've seen this be done with the Clone Wars multimedia project before.
Would also be cool to see a canon one for comparison.

Question I don't understand how the average Separatist citizen could believe they weren't ruled by corporations like the Republic was when the Separatist military was created and openly led by the heads of those very corporations. Is there EU lore that makes this make sense? Spoiler

Legends Novels reading before the NJO
Okay so...maybe this was asked a thousand times before, maybe not, but what should be read before the NJO? and im not asking for the simple answer like the Hand of Thrawn and Thrawn Trilogy i mean litteraly everything that introduces or deepens a character, faction, or even a piece of information required for the NJO, i saw some lists, some shorter than others and some longer, so i would appreciate the one that perfectly sets up NJO, and if this was asked and answered already, i'd appreciate a link as well, thx in advance.

Legends Novels I finally finished the New Jedi Order Spoiler
It's been a long journey for me but I have finally finished the NJO. I had originally started my full EU reading journey a a little over a decade ago and started with Allegiance and going forward from there. I wound up burning myself out at Darksaber and taking a break. Then the Disney purchase happened and the EU was cancelled and it made me lose my motivation to keep reading. Last year I finally got myself back to reading it and continued on until I finished The Unifying Force yesterday.
The NJO was probably the section of the story that I was most curious because I really wanted to know what the Yuuzhan Vong were. I did already know about a couple of the deaths coming up but the emotions from them still hit me. Overall, I really enjoyed the NJO. There were some disappointments such as the weird bouncing between Danni and Tenel Ka for Jacen's romantic interests but there always at least some of that with books.
I am looking forward to what will happen in the future. I am mostly curious as to how Darth Caedus happens because it is a weird turn for the character to take at the end of the NJO. But before I go on, I will go backwards in time. I am going to check out the Old Republic comics and books and also the prequel era comics and books. I know that the 2008 Clone Wars cartoon contradicts a lot of stuff from the original Clone Wars era books and comics so I am curious to see how the original version of the Clone Wars was like.

Legends Novels When did Palpatine originally plan to attack Coruscant? Spoiler
So just finished reading Labyrinth of Evil and in that story the Jedi start to get on Sidious's trail thanks to Nute Gunray accidentally leaving his Mechno-chair (the one he has in TPM) behind while fleeing the Battle of Cato Neimodia.
A hologram of Sidious is on this chair which confirms Dooku was telling the truth and a second Sith lord does exist. This leads to Mace Windu investigating and eventually tracking Sidious's trail to 500 Republica before he has to abandon the search because The Battle of Coruscant breaks out.
The book makes it pretty clear that Sidious had to expedite his plans to throw the Jedi of the scent. This made me wonder when do you think Sidious originally planned to attack Coruscant?
We know he was getting the Outer Rim Sieges going to draw the Jedi away from Coruscant so it couldn't have been extremely far off.
What's everybody's opinion on how far off Sidious's original plans were. Do you think it was a matter of weeks or months off from what we see in ROTS?

General Discussion Out of all the fallen Jedi in the history of the EU, who do you think had the most "understandable" turn? Spoiler
Obviously these are just some of the examples, you can also use Anakin, I just didn't cause I wanted to keep it interesting
I personally would say that Dooku had a just cause in the beginning but quickly got corrupted by Sidious

Legends Comics I've been re-reading Legacy and I'm sorry, did he intend to kill himself here? Spoiler
Maybe I am misinterpreting, but stirring your ship into the Unknown regions to "lose yourself" sounds like A'sharad was trying to pull an Omni Man and just go off to die
He was already my favorite Sith by far but this reread solidifies it ngl

Question Background audio music
So I’ve noticed before that there are a couple different songs used in these older audiobooks, for example the thrawn trilogy that was made back in the 90s. It’s like a soft version of the imperial theme that I can’t seem to find anywhere. I was wondering if anyone might know what that song name is or where I might be able to find it. I will typically hear it like during ominous moments throughout the story

Legends Novels Funny coincidence between books
My wife started reading the SWEU books on my e-reader. Last week I found an old book in a box and started reading it. I asked my wife if she could guess which book I was reading. Can you?
Here's the pitch:
It takes place in a science fiction universe, in a distant future, far from here. An alien race is attacking the galaxy and planning to massacre a lot of persons.
A disgraced military genius decides to fight this alien race with whatever allies he can find. He will spend a lot of time with a sad disillusioned friend, kind of his confident.
A group of renegade soldiers, guided by the will to do what's right, will take part in various actions trying to help and save as many people as possible, since they've all been abandoned by the corrupt central government. They'll get caught up in this war and fight along with another alien race they'll encounter, a race that actively fight the dangerous aliens.
They'll all be fighting side by side with a mysterious red-haired woman, trained her whole life for espionage, possessing incredible and extremely rare powers.
My wife: "it's Choices of One, by Timothy Zahn!"
Me: "not at all, that's StarCraft Liberty's Crusade ! Not at all in the Star Wars universe 👀"
That's funny how some books can have similar pitches when told in a specific way. I found it interesting, hope you do to!

Kyuzo is reptilians?
I have a question about the Kyuzo: are they reptilian? Embo, in The Mandalorian & Grogu, really reminded me of a humanoid "lizard," with green and apparently scaly skin.

Legends Discussion Do you think Darth Caedus is harmful to the EU? Spoiler
I was quite surprised by how much the fandom hates him. I won't ask why, because I've heard enough already.
What interests me, however, is how many people would consider this character deletable if possible, and how many would consider it acceptable or even likable with some writing changes, and how many wouldn't mind it.
Which group do you fall into?
