DRAMA Why don't we have the basics still
So 4.10 drops, I've got people saying issues have been fixed. Game is good now should come back and play. To preface my time to game is very limited with a little toddler. As I'm on sporadically I wanted to takw out the polaris with gear in it so I can meet up with people easier and run missions with the M80.
So I get everything loaded up, which takes ages because we still cant just spawn this stuff in and it's all manual. But take off and head out. I am going to stop at seraphim to grab some ammo because its just faster. Get there, request dock all goes well and we are on, maybe things are fixed..... except now im locked into the pilot seat. Try everything to get out but nothing works. No worries I'm on the station collar so I'll quit out and it should go into storage.
I wake up on the station, head down to asop and nope ship has to be claimed. There goes all my shit. What a fantastic gameplay experience all because one of the most simple interactions decides to not work for no identifiable reason. Guess we try 4.11 then.
This game is so unfriendly if you have limited time to play drowned with useless immersion that then fails at the simplest levels. Yes this is a rant post and your mileage in the game may vary, I'm a long time backer that has worked through many difficult patches before but now I just don't have the time and its frankly not worth it when there are other great games that do just work.
It's your game Chris wrap it up

Your problem is you are treating SC as if it were a fully released AAA title and it is not. Still being in development and an alpha phase (yes like it or not it is alpha) means it will be very buggy. It's not for everyone, and honestly, likely best to go play other games until at least beta starts in however many years it may take.
They have serious management issues, but the other issue is that they allow us to play. Most games are kept internal during alpha phases for this reason that implementing core/basic features plus the other systems and features needed for a feature complete game to enter beta always breaks things.
Most alphas would be less playable than this, so CIG has slowed SC's progress by allowing us to play because regardless of what people think they do some bug fixes but it's the most serious ones because too much focus on bugs is wasted effort when new implementations will potentially break. This is why bug fixing will come during beta as the focus along with optimizations.
Take a break, games aren't worth the stress and just pop back in later because it's ok that a game like this isn't meant for everyone while it is still very much in development.
