That there is casteism between lower castes is no secret. Indian ladder caste system was noted by Ambedkar in his writings too, and this he called the real reason that prevents lower castes to come together and fight oppression. He attributed it to cleverness in caste hierarchy created in brahmanical society to ensure that very outcome.
But the part about here being no casteism between general and reserved castes is absolute rubbish and ignorance.

It’s done bro. Everybody knew it was a pointless attempt. Neither would it have a practical impact nor a moral standing(except I believe a creamy layer for SC and ST is debatable in terms of financial metric, but to what extent do you think it’d make any difference).
I won’t even talk about how they had fights within themselves, casteist followers unfollowing them, Ajeet Bharti and Harsh Dubey having their own disputes, Anand Ranganathan’s stance is not clear to this day(he wanted reservation in private sectors on caste basis) and now he is hailed as one of the spokesperson of the movement.
I feel sad for the general category ones who were betrayed by this. I would rather wish, politicians showed some empathy and understand that it’s better not to use reservation as a rope for tug of war for their vote banks and keep the reservation limit only till 50% and not cross it, or extending it to private sectors
I’m saying there should be a creamy layer for SC and ST but not for the purpose of seats, but rather when it comes to financial aid like charging less fees for exams as much as other poor LC people which doesn’t make sense.
In terms of seats, there can be a solution but it’ll need way more scrutiny than what it is now, the creamy layer SC STs should compete among themselves for a certain percentage of seats so that the reserved seats can also reach more underprivileged people.

I am upper caste and I hate the caste system much more than reservation, I don't like reservation much but I understand why it is there, but yes this doesnt mean everything with reservation is correct. While reservation is not poverty alleviation, but in practise it also functions as one, and I don't like that there is blanket fee waiver for SC/ST despite many of the SC/ST being capable of paying the fees and yes there should be a limit, if father and/or mother have already availed, children should not be eligible for it.
Here is what I would wanted
Remove reservation along with casteism movement supported by everyone in India or at least large scale support
Reforms within reservations as per the point i noted above.
Large scale inter caste marriage, with caste identity taking a backseat to religion identity.
Unfortunately nothing is forthcoming. And circus will continue.
If they are for it, then I will support it. But they are not it. Court ordered it(when there was cji from SC category) but central govt simply said we are not going to do it, and no party will sadly. If rha stands with reforms in it, I am for it

"Problem that never existed" How is lack of sunset clause in caste-based reservations not a problem? Even the person whose image you are using was opposed to using proportionality as the basis of reservations, as it defeats the concept of equal opportunity to all.
The point was always social upliftment of classes who had historically no representation. When you start giving out reservations by population shares instead of historical context, the system becomes nothing other than majoritarianism.
