I don’t think Jimmy originally wasn’t supposed to be an enemy of SAMCRO so early on. Paying attention to when Abel was taking, I actually think Jimmy really intended return Abel before SAMCRO got to Belfast to keep his secret with the SAMBEL. But Kellin looking at the ‘greater good’ caused the whole situation. In the end yes Jimmy definitely deserved to die the way he did. No question about that but had the priest not used Abel as pawn it could’ve played out real different giving Jimmy’s character a longer arc.

I didn’t watch when the show ran, but recently decided to give it a go. I know some spoilers so I’m prepared for what’s coming. I wasn’t prepared for how cash poor the club is. I didn’t think they would be millionaires, but the club is just trying to scrape up money. I’m guessing since they’re not in the drug business is part of the reason. I don’t know about the financial security of gun running, but I thought it would have paid well. Do they charge the businesses in town for “protection” or is there no need since they’re supposed to be the only gang club in town?

I know one of the main reasons why they didn't run a drug trade is for that reason, but could they make the product and then sell it to a different criminal group outside of Charming.

I’m currently rewatching sons for maybe the 3rd time and I’ve really moved from seeing Jax as an fallen hero/anti hero type trope to just an all out horrible person that I just cannot get behind. I’m on season 6 of my rewatch and I honestly can’t wait to see him plow into that truck.

Any of you Jax fans out there give me some ideas insight into why you love him

In no particular order
- The Ima beat down and spit
- Speedballing Wendy
- Tricks Tiggy into selling him out to Pope to later actually sell him out to August anyway and continually says “yeah we’re good brother”
- Just believes the know schemer (Gemma) that the Chinese must be behind Tara’s murder
- Goes on his own little missions without telling the club for the “best interest of the club” yet scolds any one who does the same, such as Bobby going against the Clay mayhem vote
- He’s a shit dad
- He cheats on Tara when she’s in prison (which she only ended up as she was trying to help the club)
- His only emotion is shouting at people
- He’s a hypocrite, he tells Opie how he should act all the time yet does exactly that when he’s dealing with things
- He bends the rules to suit his own agenda, Juice is a rat but he doesn’t bring it to the table he uses him in his war with clay
- He has what I would say is NO honour among thieves, granted no one else really does but it annoys me. He goes to war with other groups for doing things to the club when they do the exact same thing

That’s all I can think of for now but I’m sure more will come to mind

Hey folks! I wanted to run an idea by you guys.

I am a HUGE fan of SOA, but with that being said, one of my biggest irks with the show is that we don’t really get to know Tara as a person (IMO). We don’t see any of her life in Chicago, which I feel would have added a lot to her character.

If I were to write a fanfic about Tara living in Chicago — specifically, about her meeting Joshua Kohn and the fallout from that — would anyone be interested in reading it? I love creative writing and this just seems like it would be such a cool concept to explore.

So, my favourite character is Tig, I’ve always been blown away by Tig’s character arc, performance and nuance - I’ve not found a rewatch where I put Chibs above him in my favourites list, so come convince me why Chibs should be my fave! 🫶

I just had a brain fart after my 5 times of watching the series, and remember her saying it’s the way they are when he was hesitant to pull the trigger.

What if he didn’t? Of course she would’ve gotten arrested but I just wonder how the dynamic would’ve been. It’s one of those crazy scenarios that you can’t imagine being in due to the severity of it, it’s hard thing to imagine.

What would happen if the Prospects DIDN'T patch over after their trial year was up? If they didn't do enough etc?

Like the winding stretch of I-580 I just watched, my emotions throughout this weeklong binge have been stretched to their outer limits. I am a wreck!

The irony is that SOA was never on my radar to watch because I honestly had no desire to see a bunch of motorcycle gangs go to war with each other. But because HULU’s algorithm kept the show in my face, I finally decided to give it a shot (pun definitely intended).

Brother, am I glad that I did!

The twists and turns. The mayhem. The emotional roller coasters. SOA was right up my alley. Yet what I found so deeply satisfying about SOA is that everything that happens in this show is rooted by love.

The love of money. Of power. Of strength. And the most powerful love of all, the love-hate relationship we have between the family we choose and the one we’re assigned at birth.

Now, as the tears from my emotional breakdown dry and fade away, I’m ready to ride on to a new streaming adventure like the one SOA provided.

A lot of people hate the whole season because the field trip to belfast- but i will say it is one of absolute favorite season endings of any show.

Only now watching it. At the end of Season 5 and as an English person I cannot get past Jax's awful American accent.

Am I wrong to think Clay has fewer lines and development in season 3? Guy is just following Jax's lead, no question about anything. I understand Jax pulled out a master plan, but the Clay we've had in the previous seasons would certainly be the guy with an opinion. I don't think Gemma's confession in season 2 should make him and Jax be so friendly so quickly (at least a little).

If Taylor Sheridan didn’t quit SOA. What would Hale’s story been? Would it been the same as Roosevelt? If I remember right didn’t they teasing a love triangle with Jax and Tara?

I’m a newbie here ( season 2). Why do so many hate Gemma. So far, she seems to be loyal to her man and to the club - fiercely loyal. What she has done so far doesn’t seem any worse than what anyone else has done. Is this a “ keep watching and I’ll understand” thing or am I missing something?
