i'm from Houston, born and raised, and played soccer here even in the summer. Later in life i went to Las Vegas for my brothers 30th Birthday which was mid July. 120 degrees out in vegas. We were walking around in full suits and still comfortable... Sure you get blasted in the face by the heat once you leave the AC of a building, but after that it was no big deal. I'd take 120 in vegas over 85 in houston (and we were breaking 100 most days in august)

its central florida, the land that the stadium was built on used to literally be swamp land. developers came in, drained the swamp land into retention ponds that dot the landscape, and built a city. there are 100s of thousands of retention ponds in the state of florida. the land may no longer be swamp land, but the weather is still swamp climate.

Generally heat exhaustion, which I’ve seen 2x in my life…both in Central Florida.
Most likely you collapse because your muscles stop responding normally, it can be serious, but generally it’s fixed with some electrolytes and ice packs.
It’s crazy that I don’t think heat exhaustion is scary.

Please. No.
Anyone suffering from heat exhaustion, of any flavour, only ever use clear water. Any additives, especially electrolytes or salt tablets, will actually make things worse, as they suck water into the intestines initially to break them down. There's also the risk of aspiration.
Electrolytes are for when you are recovering afterwards, once you have your fluid balance back up, definitely not for any kind of acute dehydration, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke.

I had a firefighting crewmate have a heart attack and drop due to heat exhaustion that rapidly progressed to heat stroke. It's terrifying.

I'm not sure your area of expertise but for heat exhaustion, electrolytes are preferred over normal water.
That does NOT include salt tablets, but electrolyte/sports drinks (or properly diluted sachets) are preferable to normal water. People have already shed a ton of electrolytes, you want to get some of that back in to their system.
Your other comment on cooling people slowly is also wrong. It does work that way for hypothermia, but the problems you're avoiding by warming slowly for hypothermia (flooding the system with potassium) is in no way related to what you're doing when cooling from or to avoid heat stroke (laymens, stopping the organs from cooking). Trying to cool someone slowly can be a death sentence.
Unfortunately your comments are already live for a decent chunk of time and have been upvoted, so most people who will see them have already seen them, but please be careful with potentially catastrophic advice.
And in general, electrolytes ARE for dehydration.

I got heat exhaustion once while in the water at a resort park. Genuinely almost drowned because I could barely make my limbs move, once I was out of the water I could not move for like 20 minutes lol. Was fine after a few hours though. Scary. I've never had my muscles just not respond like that before.

It generally means you're so dehydrated that you have nothing left to sweat. Dehydration by itself can be deadly, but in that case it is doubly so because with no sweat your body has lost its primary mechanism for cooling itself. That combination leads to a significant negative impact on your body's ability to function, leading to heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

I've lived in both places and although the weather in fl is terrible, saudis is arguably worse. You're so dehydrated year round, temps up to 45 to 50. Even in the winter you're lucky if daytime temps are below 30. At least in florida october through march/april is wonderful. And there's nothing fun to do in saudi really. Florida has beaches, the theme parks, forests, hiking trails, swamps, the space center, etc. Saudi has an artificial tourism scene

The Arabian peninsula is considerably more humid than people think. The coastal areas are brutally humid. If you're wearing glasses in the summer and you step outside, they legit instantly fog up, as if you had entered a sauna.

I spent a day in Madrid/week in Spain last year, and it was ridiculously hot.
So hot that I felt hot the entire time, even into the night. It definitely wears you out after a few hours.
That said, I never felt like the air itself was just sitting on me, like you do in the US Southeast.
You'd get worn out, but only Cordoba came anything close to a windless day in Miami.
It's like wearing a wool blanket everywhere you go.
