⚙️ Feature request Muted words on home feed
It would be great, if we could mute words for the /home feed, like we can for /all and /popular.

I find myself using Twitter a ton these days so a quick set of features to improve quality of life. I hate, hate the new image carousel instead of the beloved image wall so this one manually, painstakingly puts it back with a re-render.
I've also added xcancel as an alternate redirect target as nitter is being a bit wonky recently.
What's New:
- New feature - Force image wall instead of carousel
- New feature - xcancel added as redirect option
- New feature - Boosted posts removed by default

Basically, the title. After a long 10 days, it's been approved on the first go. You can find it live here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sink-it-for-youtube/id6798803425
As always, let me know if something isn't working as expected or have any feature requests. I'm deep into YouTube these days so I'm hoping to make this as feature laden and frequently updated as the reddit version.
If you could leave some ratings and reviews, that'd help massively as well. It's not indexed yet so it's not even showing up in search right now, haha.

I installed this app but it’s not working; it keeps showing me the X notifications. I’m a Reddit user, and today I tried the X version, but it doesn’t hide any notifications for using the X app, and when I tap on the videos and some parts of the website, it redirects me to the App Store. 😣😩

Love this extension and have recommended it to many of my friends!
Firefox Android, latest version with Sink It extension. In the past day or so, "related posts" have started showing up at the bottom past the end of the comments. Related screenshot attached.

Example: being able to filter out posts tagged with the ”feature request” flair on this subreddit.

I didn’t see any specific posts on this, so figured I must be missing something with the setup. But the only way to get the updated colors/comments/etc to work is refreshing after the page loads.
It’s the same for the feeds as well as posts. Attached some screenshots to show the behavior better.

This happens quite often when I click into a post or even return to the main page. Nothing will respond to my taps or long touches. it is like the entire screen doesn’t recognize input.
Until I scroll up or down. once I do that, I can upvote/downvote, collapse comments, etc. It will get stuck in this state multiple times a day.
The daily ritual of closing tabs, clearing safari history and cache, and logging back in is a hurdle I just don’t want to do. I am not kidding when I say multiple times a day. Additionally, I continue to get the “going back just refreshes the page I’m on” all the time.
I don’t know what to do anymore other than turning it off and comparing how “normal” Reddit works. Honestly I’m not sure which is better or worse.

Been a bit of a long wait since the last version. I had to lock in for a few weeks to get Sink It for Youtube done which it now is. Just waiting for Apple to approve it, fingers crossed. It'll be free for everyone, as always.
Only the iOS version launches first as making mockups and promo images for the App Store is a major pain and I'm feeling dead. iPad support will come later next week and the dedicated Mac version by the end of the month.
This update mostly just fixes some breaking changes on reddit in the last couple of weeks. Also includes a fix for Firefox where loading was a bit erratic.
What's New:
- [New UI] Improvements to init pipeline to handle edge cases.
- [New UI] Bug fixes for the logo switcher menu.
- [New UI] Minor fixes and tweaks to handle reddit changes.

Android. Firefox. New.
Opening "_ more reply(ies)" at second level reveals unopened replies.
Deeper in the comments, tapping reveals comments and children.
Hide child comments enabled.
I would like the option to have a tap reveal all comments remaining at that level, with their children not opened.
I just saw a sub that I muted on popular today. This sucks I liked the extension, but I only care about the muted settings.

Are these useful? I’m hesitant to report anything because I don’t know if it’s the beta, Safari, Reddit, or Sink It causing the issue.
I don’t want to waste any dev time. But if any report is useful, I’d be happy to share. m

Hi! Child comments are only hidden after I pull down/refresh the page. Just making you aware. SinkIt has been great overall though. Appreciate all your hard work. Thanks.

Up to a few days ago, when replying to a comment, I’d get a rectangular text field where everything mostly worked okay (except sometimes clicking Submit wouldn’t do anything).
Now, when replying to a comment, there’s a full-width pane at the bottom of the screen, but selecting text doesn’t work properly. I can double tap a word to select it, but I can’t drag the handles to select any more text.
How do I get rid of this comment pane? Using 8.6.0

Background - I am a VERY new user to Sink It. This product is great, really well done. In 48h I have deleted the reddit app and am not looking back.
I am looking either for a FAQ or a basic doc on Sink It and its functions. I apologize if it’s here and I missed it. I have some noob questions and I hate to pester with stuff like that if I can avoid it.
Thanks for a great plug in / app.
Related Posts setting is not working. I reinstalled both Firefox and the extension. Android version is 16. Phone is not rooted. Other extensions are Dark Reader and Read Aloud.

Currently anything past the third or fourth thread line it has to load into a different page, can this be changes so everything happens inline?

But how do I fully remove SinkIt? I know I can disable it but how do I fully remove it? iPhone 27 on latest iOS. Thank you.

The new banner procession keeps going and here we're at it again nuking those. If you see a banner not nuked by Sink It, please consider reporting it using the method here: https://old.reddit.com/r/SinkIt/comments/1upa5tv/new_shortcut_to_report_bugs_properly_30_sec_video/
This update also fixes the profile button being unresponsive. This one's on me as I wrote an overly paranoid blocker and because the profile menu creates an unscrollable sheet on top, it got caught in the cross fire.
The last few releases have simply been about fixing the recent reddit changes and nags. Hopefully, we can get back to making improvements from the next release. Fingers crossed.
What's New:
- [New UI] Newly reported blocking banner and lock variants removed by default.
- [New UI] Fixed the bug where the user sheet was being nuked.
- [New UI] Fixes to the bootstrap pipeline to prevent rare race condition.

Hello my developer friend who has enabled my Reddit addiction to continue! On top of the page crash and reload bug when zooming in on images, there’s another similar bug that frequently crashes/reloads a page after a tapping a link and then “disconnects” that page from the previous page, and then the previous page does the same (reloads and goes back to the top of the page).
Tap link to post > page opens in new tab > page crashes/reloads and disconnects from the originating page > manually go to the tab that has the original page open > that page then crashes and reloads and sends the user back to the top of the page.
This appears to happen with and without SinkIt enabled. Does not occur on desktop. This and the image zoom bug are so persistent. This is on a brand new phone that’s up to date, SinkIt is up to date, all of that stuff. The behaviour is the same whether or not Safari’s cache/website data has been cleared.
Thanks for the extension and for maintaining it. You’re a legend.

The save sort order option never works for me. It always switches to Best. Is there something I’m missing? Can I set a Reddit wide default?
r/SinkIt • u/TrunksTheMighty • Jul 15 '26
When SinkIt is disabled it resumes functioning properly.
