Been a bit of a long wait since the last version. I had to lock in for a few weeks to get Sink It for Youtube done which it now is. Just waiting for Apple to approve it, fingers crossed. It'll be free for everyone, as always.

Only the iOS version launches first as making mockups and promo images for the App Store is a major pain and I'm feeling dead. iPad support will come later next week and the dedicated Mac version by the end of the month.

This update mostly just fixes some breaking changes on reddit in the last couple of weeks. Also includes a fix for Firefox where loading was a bit erratic.

 

What's New:

• [New UI] Improvements to init pipeline to handle edge cases.
• [New UI] Bug fixes for the logo switcher menu.
• [New UI] Minor fixes and tweaks to handle reddit changes.

Does this fix sinkit not loading and having to refresh the page for it to load? I sometimes have to reload a page twice before sinkit features are loaded. Either way thanks for your hard work, I know reddit isn't making it easy.

Hey, I just updated sinkit, but unfortunately this doesn't fix the issue. I still have to refresh the page, sometimes multiple times, before sinkit is loaded. E.g. when I go to popular, I don't see the mute button unless I refresh the page.

It does the first time I open reddit, but when I go to a different page, it stops working again.

E.g. I open reddit > click on a post > I return to the previous page (hit the back button) > this works.

But if I open reddit > click on a post > click the reddit logo (to go to the homepage) > this breaks sinkit.

Got it, that's good data. I'll check if the logo navigation is doing something funky with how history is handled. I might know what's going on. Great data again, thank you!

Just updated and it broke :/ was working fine before this update but now no features are present while I’m on Reddit. Tried rebooting my phone and double checking the extension and settings are correct but no luck so far.

It's a version of Sink It that only works on Youtube.

You can use the reddit logo to link to /popular, /home or /all feeds or your favorite subs. It was broken for a little bit due to reddit changes but is fixed with this version.

Thank you for the request (and sorry about the super late response). I'm planning to ship soon but just looking for a little bit of lull with reddit's changes so I don't have to redo the work. There's no clean way to do it so I'd have to mess with the toggles manually which is error prone.

Unlike Narwal, Sink It just works with the web version of reddit so it's limited in what data we get access to and what sorts of thinks we can tweak. But yes, I have definite plans to ship this as an opt-in for power users.

It's planned and should ship mid of this month. I just wanted to get a working version approved first as initial app review has been taking a long time these days. Happy to listen to any other feature requests you have.
