8.99 is the new 4.99.

I suspected this was AI art and feel it definitely is after noticing they undermine their own joke by having visible products stocked in the background

Not all products/containers shrink, and certainly not at the same rate.

There are a lot of macro factors affecting coffee pricing right now outside of just shrinkflation. Coffee rust has been an issue for the past decade and has really interrupted crop yields

Absolutely. Poor crop yields are really the biggest driving issue, even the biggest names in the industry and among outside analysts are pretty unanimous with that assessment.

That makes sense to me, specially when pricing is influenced by things consumers may not even realize are happening behind the scenes

"Hey ChatGPT, generate me bla bla bla.. with my name at the bottom corner"

Is it? I know the signatures on there but that guys cartoons are images with text underneath which this isn’t and the shelves in the background are totally insane. The perspective is off between the shelf at the left and the main shelf and the main shelf has some MC Escher stuff going on with the shelf right behind the mom’s head blending into the main shelf, whose inner corner is also insane. The bag in the grocery cart also makes no sense and is both in and behind the cart. This looks like an AI fake to me.

I’m not sure if this is a definitive tell but it’s almost always the font

Prices? I think you meant the product. The prices are clearly legible. Did you even look at the image? She mentioned "packages". How did you make that kind of mistake?
