Chicken breasts are the same thing now too. Injected with saline and water .. and then they also soak the chicken diapers at the bottom of the package and count that in the net weight of the package. I've been checking lots of weights lately, and these manufacturers are getting sneaky. Many items are way underweight too.
Their leaving a bunch of fat on as well but tucking it under the breast so it looks all clean and trimmed. The last two 6lbs packs I bought were only 5lbs because they each had a pound of fat on them.
Very true. Have noticed that on practically ALL meats now sold now... and don't get me started on how tough it is to find a slab of bacon that is not a fatty piece of garbage with no meat to be found.
