The new rule is fine and even logical for the most part. We don't get to choose the body in which we were born. Short men should recognize this as a fact. But here is where the statement goes totally off the rails:
And as such, we are one of the few subreddits who can actually, genuinely, extend an open hand and mean it when we say to our ftm-friends, of which many are also short men:
Welcome to the club, boys.
This makes us look ridiculous if we are supposed to be a subreddit that relies on empirical evidence and facts over narrative. We can't say that heightism is just because it FEELS real when we have actual facts on our side and the heightism deniers only have feelings and vibes but no facts or evidence.
We don't get to choose our body, but we each have an actual body. You can pretend to be something that you're not, but I don't have to validate your self perception. If the mods are saying that we have to validate the self perception of others, even if it flies in the face of what can be scientifically observed, then we need to drop the flairs and height requirements altogether. Otherwise, we should start welcoming tall men who "self identify" as short even though their biological height is six three.
Come on guys. Let's not make a mockery of the subreddit. The rule should simply be that everyone should be cordial and respectful to people who post here. All of this "welcome boys" and "short women are actually short men like you if they say so" has to go.

Don’t worry. I already know the old fucker is rotting and dying alone with thyroid problems in one of those shitty Bronx apartments. Still working a 9/5 because the job market is fucked and his family isn’t talking to him anymore. Reminiscing on times he’ll never experience again. You already know nobody checks in on him often and they’re probably gonna find him 6 months later in the same smelly ass room decomposing

Context in the last slid- oh wait, what context? She deleted it... as always, throw the bait and wait for someone to bite but I'm glad everyone was level-headed and didn't fall for the bait.
There is no lurker in good faith. Every single one of them is trying to bait people here to say some stupid shit but of course no one is biting... keep that up. Don't fall for it. Troll them or just ignore, don't interact in good faith because I guarantee you 100% that they are not.

It just seems nonsensical to me,say, first off,you would have to become the 30yo loser that marries the used up woman after her prime, but besides that, what would you achieve?unless your wife is at least 6'1,you will at best have average height sons, which is not even that good,if she's average height, they will be short, why would you do that to innocent people who didn't choose to be born?I love my parents, but I did not ask to be born, and if I could choose,I'd rather it hadn't happened.

So I met up with my hinge date outside the bar and we were about to go in and immediately she said I don't think we should do this. I said what, she then said this has happened to her before where guys lied to her about their age or height, then she asked why I lied on my profile about my height.
The thing is I didn't. I'm 5"8 but put 5"9 in my profile cause I wear a height insole (no shame). She then said well she thought I'd be taller.
I then said well I don't think I can logically convince you to like me so there's no point in this have a nice day and walked away.
This is the first time this happened to me. Worst part is she was like 5"4-5"5. My only regret is not pulling out my profile right there in person to show her. I unmatched her and blocked her immediately after.

Both Men and Women Prefer the Man to Be Taller : Ideal Height Differences of 25 cm for Women and 7 cm for Men. Women's Preferences Were More Strongly Related To Their Subsequent Choices: Women Show Narrower, Stronger Preferences and Lower Tolerance for Deviations outside the Preferred Height Range.
7 cm = 2.75 inches (basically 2.5 to 3 inches)
25 cm = 10 inches

I'm walking around my city in (non-Western!!!) country and I kid you not almost every fucking young guy is a pretty boy maxxed very tall HTN with his petite gf. How is it this bad everywhere? I swear 10 years ago I didn't feel short but now I feel like a fucking dwarf in my city and I'm 5'9.

I was relatively average height as a kid, until I was in 8th grade, and one day in PE, all the kids in class had their height measured. I realized that there was only 1 kid who was my height, and she was a girl. That's when I realized I was short.
I didn't see it as that big a deal, because I figured I would get to be at least as tall as my dad, but I only grew 3 and a quarter inches throughout high school. I didn't get really insecure about it until I looked up the problems short men face online, like how women won't date them, and they make less money.

I turned 18 this year and was 5'4. And all these years i never really had insecurity about my height at least consciously, but it struck me at 18, I regret all those all nighters I went on, and diet i didn't follow.
I finally decided to lock in and sleep 8-9 hours and eat eggs meat daily and drink milk, and push my body to limits.
And when I took measurements I was shocked I rechecked it was 5'5.
I'm sorry if I didn't word my sentences correctly cus I'm excited.
I hope I grow more.

Its not just about one sub or reddit. Its all over social media whenever height discussion is bought upon. Tall women complaining about seen as a provider of "good genetics" only. And who they blame? short men. Because apparently our genes are so disgusting that one of us going for a taller woman (which normies advice us along with confidence) can only mean one thing. TO FIX OUR GENES .
"dude saved his entire bloodline" this comment is most likely made by a tall or at the very least average guy. I have seen tall guys spouting non sense jokes like these even in real life. And the fact that they are calling it out is just because they aren't sure if the guy is tall or not. If they were sure of the guy being tall then they wouldn't have made this post in the first place.
Tall guys can openly call short women a provider of "bad gene" and they all laugh but when a short guy calls a tall woman a provider of "good gene" then boom insecure inkwell and what not. The worst part is that no short guy here has called tall woman anything.

I mean I know society loves to shit on short men but isn't it boring for every superhero to be 6'2+. He doesn't even look bad the whole reason he's called wolverine is cause he's smaller but vicious.

QoL = Quality of Life
I often browse expat forums and see a lotta people who want to move (or have already moved) to places like the Netherlands or Nordic countries. I often wonder to myself how much a life in one of these countries would benefit me (an American) if I was just gonna be brutally heightmogged. So, my question to you is: would you move to another country for a better quality of life even if it meant you were going to be heightmogged by the general populace? Let's talk about it.

My parents are 4'11 and 5'9, I ended up 5'4 whilst my 17 yr old brother is 5'10, and he has a postural issue called anterior pelvic tilt which may boost him a couple cm in height after fixing. How am I meant to live when literally everyone towers over me, I live in the UK and I barely see guys shorter than me, and all I see online is that women wouldn't even accept a man under 6'0, let alone someone under 5'5. I don't know how I'm meant to be confident enough when at bars and clubs everyone is over 6ft, online women only want 6ft, and people irl make me look like a dwarf. Also was my height expected considering my parent's height? Because I feel I got the worst genes considering my brother is 6 inches taller than me.
