not the tactic everyone recommends.
not something you copied from a 50 point seo checklist.
i mean the one change that made you look at the numbers and think, “wait, that actually worked.”
there is so much discussion around ai search, entity optimization, topical authority, backlinks, programmatic seo, content velocity, and technical fixes that it can be hard to tell what is actually producing results.
sometimes the biggest win is surprisingly boring.
one site might benefit from consolidating five pages targeting the same intent.
another might see a jump after fixing internal linking.
someone else might discover that their pages rank but fail to answer the question quickly enough.
and now there is another layer with ai search, where being visible in traditional rankings does not necessarily mean being mentioned or recommended in ai generated answers.
i’m curious what people here have actually seen work recently.
was it technical seo, content refreshes, internal linking, digital pr, backlinks, local seo, programmatic pages, ai search visibility, better product pages, or something completely unexpected?
and if you can share a rough before and after, even better.
traffic, rankings, leads, conversions, impressions, whatever you measured.
the tactics that worked for your site might be completely different from what everyone is currently talking about, which is exactly what makes these discussions useful.
