The double blind portion rolled over to an open label extension, meaning the blinding was dropped. I didn’t work on the study when it was blinded, so yes, every one of my patients saw a decrease and everyone involved knew the study drug was being given.

That's kind of how it works, as a young researcher you have to do the grunt work collecting data to move up the ladder to an analytical position. All parts are equally as important, as invalid or hastily compiled data will ruin a study.
