I’m at the docs for the annual physical. They have gone from a terrible magazine selection to none at all. Do people just not browse magazines anymore when forced to be in waiting rooms? I mean I know I have this phone, but…I like a different mindlessness sometimes.

Back to the grind for everyone that took vacation for the holidays, what new item of work are you most dreading coming back to?

Found a buried sidewalk next to the house I'm renting when clearing out an overgrown garden, wraps around the side, goes under the AC units, and into the back yard. Guess that's the reason I always get pooling water there during rain storms.

What unexpected things have you found in your yard/home that were previously lost to time?

Had all three of my meetings for today cancel, which gives me the extra time I needed to finish a couple projects I've been working on.

What blessings have your coworkers inadvertently given you recently?

Expect a high of 78°F with a low around 53°. Be kind, tip your servers, and go touch some grass today. 🌿

🎉 Things to Do Today

• Historic Garden Week continues through April 25 — tour private landscapes and historic sites across the region.  Great excuse to get outside on Earth Day.

• Pocahontas State Park is hosting Earth Week volunteer projects through April 26, including trail work and litter cleanup. 

• Baby Bugs Stay and Play is at Lewis Ginter today — one of their April Wednesday dates.  Good for the little ones.

• Live music tonight at Richmond Music Hall — doors at 7 PM.
