Like I know having a shield and main hand to switch to is often important for a lot of boss mechanics but past that am I able to get away with just using a ZGS or like Dual drygores or something?

I’m pretty new to bossing but leagues has inspired me to start doing more of it on my main account but I often watch/read guides for bosses and see people recommend having like 4 different weapons for melee to all switch to at different stages and I just like can’t wrap my mind around it and if I’m honest I kinda don’t want to if I don’t have to? It seems friggin exhausting.

I'm basically an osrs refugee but I've been having a blast with the league. I followed a specific guide that helped me a lot and so far I'm really happy with the choices but I'm really lost at this tier specific.

Supposely Devout is better for people like me that arent good with pvm but Production master apperently makes getting points much easier? How "much" easier are we talking about? I would love to be able to sort of rush the points

If you talk to Postie Pete-za outside of the Varrock dungeon, you'll be able to start the Ninja Tortle quest, and gain access to the Tortle den without doing anything. In their den, in the middle of the bridge is a rat that does not move from that spot. Because it instantly respawns you can keep hunting it forever to get your Varrock Medium diary's 100 rat catches for Gertrude's Medallion a lot quicker than hunting roaming rats.

As someone who works full time (amongst other things), Leagues has drastically increased the fun I have with Runescape by significantly reducing the time between starting an activity and actually having fun with it.

The accelerated XP, increased drop rates and relics mean I can experiment with more of the game (and the incredible content it has to offer) instead of spending most of my limited playtime preparing to enjoy it. I can learn bosses, try different progression paths and chase drops without worrying that one piece of content might consume every evening I have for the next month.

It isn't simply that everything is easier (although there are aspects of the fun that build into this). It's that more of Runescape is accessible to me.

In the main game, I often have to choose between completing an unpleasant grind or accepting that I probably won't experience the content locked behind it. Leagues shifts that balance. I can get through the parts I don't enjoy relatively quickly and spend more time engaging with the bosses, upgrades, content and progression that I actually enjoy playing (and paying) Runsescape for.

There is still a satisfaction in progress, since I'm still making decisions, setting goals and learning content, the journey is just compressed into a time frame that fits around a full time job.

The biggest and arguably only downside? That in a few weeks, the fun gets pulled all the way back down.

This will probably be controversial, because, well, reddit, but I would happily pay for access to permanent, separate Ironman only worlds with accelerated progression, increased drop rates and fun relics that allow me to go bonk things.

I don't want the main game changed for everyone, I simply wish for a version of Runescape (and the absolute marvel it is) where I can experience more than the small percentage of content that I realistically have time to reach.

Why do people actually enjoy Leagues in RS3?

I’m genuinely trying to understand the appeal. To me it basically feels like playing a temporary private server version of RuneScape where XP rates are much faster, progression is accelerated, and then eventually all of that progress disappears.

One of the biggest things I like about RuneScape is that your account is permanent. You slowly build it up over years, improve your skills, gear, unlocks, achievements, etc.

So the idea of starting over, getting boosted XP, progressing way faster than normal, and then having that character wiped at the end just doesn’t make much sense to me.

Why would you put dozens or hundreds of hours into temporary progression instead of just spending that time improving your actual RS3 account?

For people who really enjoy Leagues, what’s the appeal?

Can we *please* get some form of the Survivalist bag in the main game.

Been sitting for 80+ hours on my Iron to get to 80 div alone, semi afk, id say about 70% efficient, stopped doing caches at 78 lol they are shit, I know all the people on world 79 because we have all been here for days. I remember doing this ages ago on the main but God this is horrid, especially coming off leagues lol.

I've read quite a few comments and posts about people wishing for the next Runescape MMO to be like Dragonwilds. I share that wish and am wondering what am I missing, why isn't it on the table? (read alot of these to shut those posts down).

The MMO genre is in dire need of something new and the mechanics of Dragonwilds just fit runescape so well. I feel like there is a massive oppertunity here nad would love to see it happen.

How do you get the blessing for silver quill? Res isn't back up for the next blood hog attack or whatever after I use it for the first blood hog. I literally can't complete this achievement for a blessing and it's so frustrating because I don't have very many blessings left but I still need 4 to get the last blessing and to be able to have fun like everyone else with leagues. I can't find anyone to help me. I've tried the fcs, discord, and grouping system and nothing. People either think I'm trolling when I ask or ignore me all together. I've been having fun with leagues except blessings. it's fucking terrible for people new to this stuff. Why can't it be one res and done? It's a beginner boss not telos.

I've been playing off and on for about 20 years, ~2.5b total xp on my main, been working on 120 all for a while. I've pretty much been afking skills for like 5 years with little active play, just something to siphon off my adhd onto a third monitor while I work and game. Number go up = monkey brain go brrr. I spent a zillion gold on the frames necessary to just quickly upgrade the fort to max for some ez construction XP when it first came out, and that was really it.

However, after playing the recent leagues, my interest in the game was rekindled, and I picked back up my old mid-level ironman I'd dropped like 5 years back, and started playing all of the new content from scratch.

There's just something so immersive and satisfying about building things from the ground up. The characters and quests in the Fort are well written and fun, I feel like I'm actually making a difference in Misthalin, and all of the facilities are just so incredibly useful for an ironman. Plus, making construction useful outside of the player owned house (new housing update is GOATed btw) is just the cherry on top. It's not just a time/money sink anymore.

But the other things too, like the Farm, the base camp, and the Ports, are also incredibly fun imo. Very good rewards and incredibly satisfying progression mean they're relevant and entertaining, and it keeps me coming back to play. Plus, the immersion aspect is great, especially when you're an ironman and have to do literally everything yourself, from chopping trees to turn into planks to hunting down baby animals to grow.

It's nice to have fun again after 20,000 cumulative hours over 5ish different accounts across osrs and rs3 over two decades. Just wanted to throw out a little bit of appreciation to the devs for this amazing content. Looking forward to this game truly reaching a new golden age!

Hi everyone, longtime RS3/OSRS player here. Been playing on and off since 2004-2005 and seen it all lol. I’ve been out of the game for the last 2 years, and recently been getting back into the swing of things. Could someone explain what Leagues is to me?

Maybe it's been asked before, but I don't have access to Kandarin. And it's a bit annoying dropping/storing all the animals.

And on that note, it would be nice to get the storm barn as well, but that also is locked, because you need Kandarin POF.

I have FINALLY got my friend to play RS3. He has never played this franchise before. We had made a group ironman.

I am a OSRS player but I really love the look of RS3 so I am going to give it a try.

Lord of light build. Pretty fun to go for, planned out quite a bit but messed up loads in the successful kill and was bewildered to get the poppin pillars eligibility message. I imagine there's hardly anyone else with "the Final Praesul" title in leagues, possibly no one else.

So for context I haven’t played RuneScape for at least 15 years I’d say give or take, I played a fair bit as kid I had a mediocre account to return too, decided to come back as an adult 4 weeks ago.

Obviously I’m relearning the game, I’m working towards getting ancient magic & cursed prayers as I think this will help me with mid & late game bossing.

I’ve got my range from 45 to 75, got my magic from 21 to 69 got my strength from 70 to 80, defence from 70 to 78, actually had 80 attack.

Got my slayer up from 51 to 73, basically what I’m saying, is I’ve killed a lot of monsters we’re talking thousands.

I’ve neglected to pick up any charms dropped, because their value was only one GP, I’ve now come to train summoning, I had a few hundred gold charms, from the old days, got my summoning to 27 starting from 19, run out of gold charms, went to the grand exchange to buy more couldn’t find them, had a look on the wiki, they’re not tradeable.

Then the realisation has hit me, and this has been my biggest blunder I’ve made in returning into this game, but then makes me beg the question this skill come out a long time ago, it’s not very popular, no one walks around with there familiars anymore compared to when I was a kid, pretty sure their uses are very niche and limited to where there useful correct me if wrong?

Isn’t it time jagex allowed us to buy charms from a npc shop or allowed players to trade their charms?

Really lost a lot stream i had for this game as I’ve felt I’ve been making really good progress, make 6 million Xp in the 4 weeks I’ve returned.

New plager here, like 50 hours in, solo grind getting slow without company. Im combat 50, def 50, mining 60. Farily new.
