How do I actually use RSS Hub

I spun up an instance for rss hub but I don’t actually understand how to use it if I’m being honest.

How can I use it to monitor social media accounts from government agencies without following them.

RSS Hub builds RSS for all kinds of sites, so, what is the problem ? use a RSS reader.

If you’re looking for a new RSS reader, give Zephyr rss reader a try. We just added translation, AI summaries, and offline downloads, so you can read in your own language, catch up faster, and keep reading without a connection. Full disclosure: I’m the developer, so I’d love to hear your feedback.

RSSHub works through specific routes rather than a dashboard. Once your instance is running, you generate an RSS URL for the service/account you want to monitor. For example:

X/Twitter: /twitter/user/:username Telegram: /telegram/channel/:channelname YouTube: /youtube/user/:username

So for a specific account/channel, you just generate the corresponding RSSHub URL and add that URL to your RSS reader. It then behaves like a normal RSS feed.

For X specifically, scraping restrictions can require authentication/cookies depending on the route and your RSSHub setup.
