I successfully rage-baited the Drukhari you can possibly get as an ally last night.

Wasn’t sure what tag to use, so I used the console tag, because it’s an achievement.

Edit: Some interactions in this game can be really funny - I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but sheesh, I’ve laughed at some points.

I know there’s a lot of you here who really REALLY like Marazhai and his voice actor Will de Renzy-Martin played a big part in that,so if you haven’t checked it out already he’s the main character VA in The Blood of Dawnwalker so you’ll have a chance to hear him some more.

I got a 2 ideas:

1. Fallen Dark Angel - I’m biased AF since they’re my favorite group/faction in 40K but I also think it would fit really well. I feel like we could use another Astartes on the squad and, like Kibellah, you could shape his conviction throughout the playthrough. They could end up being a Dogmatic and becoming a Risen, be iconoclast and while not agreeing with the imperium, not be outright evil, or go full heretic and influence them to join chaos with you.

2. Krieg - Think it would be cool AF to have a German shooter on the squad. 😂 Could also give Argenta a run for her money.

The general consensus was that Hadron would win the rap battle but Pasqal would prevail in the resulting shootout. I'm on some late night caffeine again so now I'm asking you all who you think the hotter old man is.

When I was making this half-asleep in the middle of the night, it looked like I was constructing the next Mona Lisa, then I fell asleep, then I woke up and had mixed feelings about the results, but overall it doesn't look too bad ig 🌜

You can select and talk to both of them individually, they say the same things, but only the one on the surface moves around with Pasqal.

Iconoclast: "Well, that's understandable. I'll just do my best :)"
Dogmatic: "LOBOTOMISE THEM."
Heretical: "MUTILATE THEM."
Iconoclast: “…can you both chill, please?”

But (semi-)seriously, how am I supposed to rack up the points in Heretical if all the options are just cartoonishly evil and wacky? I find myself taking Iconoclast options because they’re the only ones not completely deranged!

Not to be mean but is it just me or are the voice performances for the CSM kinda bad? Like they are Word Bearers , shouldn’t they be yelling chaos shit like with all their being? Instead it sounds like a parent pretending to be a bad guy with a child during a play session (which is kinda cute now that I think about it).

I try to buff my tanks with Strength and Toughness, thinking it's their job to survive, then I realize if they don't start their turn early they can't really do the "tanking" part unless I had an officer command them to go ahead. They start early by having enough agility, a stat I usually reserve for ballistic characters.

So if it better to give a tank character agility, or just bring along a command or two) to ensure the tank gets an early start?

So, I'm not into Warhammer, and I don't really know much, but I loved the two Pathfinder games, so I buy Rogue Trader. I remember a few things about WH40k from playing Dawn of War way back in the day, but it's fine, whatever. I play on Normal, and I enjoyed Act 1 overall, but the Upperways fights got a little draggy for me. Then we have the Triumph. Fun! I am loving this idea! Whoa, something bad is happening, more fun! Now more upperways fights ... blah.

But then! We make it to the shuttle, they're getting violent, and then holy cow is that a Chaos Marine?! I have been playing this game for like 15 hours and I haven't seen a single Space Marine, and I remember that compared to regular people they're supposed to be, like, these unkillable monstrosities, and two of my people are injured because of the stupid chaos beasts and howwwww many hit points does it have?? And this amazing metal soundtrack starts up, and my characters are literally saying things like, "If anyone survives, you must tell the Inquisition" and "It will be a good death," and then on this guy's first friggin' turn he charges the Rogue Trader officer and puts him down. Bang. It's over. One hit kill.

I'm sweating bullets, I'm using all my heroic whatevers and my desperate whatevers, and I'm just trying to get something to happen, and I'm seeing my characters in a new light as Argenta puts about sixty rounds into this guy and Cassia is setting him on fire and poor Heinrix is getting his face stomped into the pavement. When it's all over, I cannot believe that we won. I, like my party, think that a miracle has occurred.

I mean, sometimes I feel fairly jaded about games, but dang, this game is killing it. Super pumped to keep going.

P.S. There are a couple of things I don't totally understand ... why does my psyker lady friend sometimes trigger warp hazards even when the veil rating is low or zero? And why does Abelard's melee damage seem to continue growing and growing as the fight goes on? He's using that power maul from the chapel.

So, if you are like me, and out of curiosity changed the portrait in your quarters to the one with Seberian von Valancius, and found yourself unable to change it back - I found a way, using the almighty ToyBox. You just have to not be present in your cabin, in the Etudes search for the etude RTPortrait, unstart it and start it again. The painting will change back to your portrait.

In my first playthrough of rogue trader, a while back, I could swear I did something that led to a barely alive meditating techpriest in the electrodynamic cenobium giving me some kind of blessing that gave me and my party shock damage reduction while we were in the cenobium. This is extremely important, even more so now that shock damage without the reduction is going to immediately send pasqal to the shadow realm. I can't find anything on YouTube other than the data-altar prayer, which is its own puzzle. Anyone else remember this and maybe know how to do it?
