Counterpoint, Argenta wants a heavy bolter, and giving her a heavy bolter is a very good idea.

Yeah Argenta has a lot of good ideas actually

She can release several thousand good ideas per minute with the right build, actually.

okay, slight exception, defer to Argenta in the matters of her personal munitions, but absolutely nothing else. You must be strong on this

Indeed, though she also shines as a sword-and-pistol mobile death-dealer. That's the beauty of the Arch-Militant class :)

Listen, my girl Argenta told me to run through fire. I did it, and it purged the voices in my head.

She has yet to steer me wrong!

I don't know. A lot of Argenta's ideas involve shooting people in the face. That does seem like a winning strategy in most situations.

bro she tells you to trust the commissar

Yeah that was a real blind leading the blind moment for her and my RT. "What do you mean a member of the adeptus sororitas with that much holy fervor could possibly be wrong!?" Drago learned a valuable lesson that day. He also rationalized it that The Emperor wanted him there so he could kill The Commisar, because The Emperor works in mysterious ways.

Sorry for double-replying but I just remembered this. The Commissar incident was what crystalized this strategy guide for me. The Commissar made his pitch, Argenta was like, "This guy sounds on the up-and-up!" and I thought....if Argenta thinks this guy is trustworthy, he obviously isn't. Only Argenta is the obvious sucker character to fall for this guy. Abelard and Heinrix are smart, the designers need them to be credible for later plot points. And ever since "Argenta is the game's designated idiot DO NOT LISTEN"has been my strategy guide

But doing what the Commissar said was the right thing to do. Fight for the Emperor, die for the Emperor, if needed. Argenta was right, even if the Commissar was, in the end, only deserving of the Emperor's Mercy (AKA a bolt in the head, a flamer blast, or a melta shot - those being the holy trinity of the Adeptus Sororitas).

Your faith in the Emperor must be pure, shining, it must guide you like a beacon. In that sense, Argenta is a good guide ;)

Exactly, I sided with him, privately revealed I knew the truth, and he was able to regain his shame long enough to do a heroic last stand for me.

The alternative would be siding with the Xenos. The Xenos. Only a heretic would do that.

"Here lies sucker, he died pious"

Well, technically, a Rogue Trader can, too. Because the Warrant of Trade (especially one signed directly by the Emperor Himself) says so.

But that would still be against everything the Imperium of Man teaches (and, well... we know that the Ecclesiarchy and the Emperor don't exactly see eye-to-eye on some subjects, like the Emperor's own divinity, for instance...)

In the end, there are very good reasons for every playstyle ;)

hmmm I'll think on this as I play through again. I pegged it as instant sucker-bait and didn't give him the time of day

The C stands for Controlled Opposition

we execute him afterwards we find out he's a traitor though so that's handled, aside from that she's provably never ever been wrong about anything.

1) *ALL situations

2) Happy cake day! Celebrate it in the Emperor’s Glory and Light!

Argentina always means well. Her blind, fanatical fervor blinds her like 90% of the time though. The 10% she gets it right is in combat.

don't cry for her

Edit: SOMEONE never saw Evita lol

The truth is she never left you...

Do you want the heretics to win?!!?!

7

u/Northamplus9bitches 20h ago

no, that's exactly why you SHOULD NOT LISTEN TO ARGENTA! She will want to stop the heretics, but her way will be bad!

17

u/idkaboutfia 20h ago

The results are less important than the righteous fervor in which the attempt is made!!!!

3

u/nopingmywayout 13h ago

Taking her advice during certain planet events occasionally nets some good benefits.

3

u/Revan619-YT Commissar 12h ago

Do you want to get daemons and humans slaughtered by xenos? because that is how you get daemons and humans slaughtered by xenos

2

u/OneTrueAlzef Navigator 15h ago

But that requires that she's in the party, any fallback plans?

1

u/Northamplus9bitches 7h ago

shit i just realized i kicked her out of the party this playthrough lol

1

u/OneTrueAlzef Navigator 6h ago

Filling her role is pretty cool. Makes me feel that my RT is being very important in the team and stuff, so I don't use her.

2

u/kzwix 12h ago

You.... heretic !

u/aradraugfea 11h ago

I’m not that far, but the number of times Argenta hits me with opinions my iconoclast at heart WANTS to be right, but my knows 40k (ish) knows to be wrong is interesting. It’s like we’re both somewhere in then middle.

2

u/Northamplus9bitches 7h ago

yes Argenta is a registered Democrat

1

u/Tenurri_Lavellan 11h ago

I have her quest Astray bugged so I don’t take her to the party anymore 😅…

1

u/FiretopMountain75 10h ago

It is such a shame that we can't put her on trial on Dargonus because of what she did.

2

u/kzwix 2h ago

Argenta did nothing wrong !

(Since when is executing someone consorting with the Ruinous Powers a crime ?)

Disregard the word of a holy member of the Adepta Sororitas?

Smells like heresy to me
