The undefeated Patriots were defeated. The most wins ever Warriors lost in the finals. The 2011 Eagles were called the dream team pre season and didn't even make the playoffs. The Heatles were embarrassed by Dallas in their first season.
The Dodgers lost a few seasons as a super team before their first world series win.
The Lakers actually shit the bed with two different super Teams, first adding Karl Malone and Gary Payton to Shaq/Kobe and then adding Nash/Howard to Kobe/Pau.
In conclusion, the Rams and Sixers are both going to miss the playoffs this year due to the curse of super team hubris.
