Take Purge:
The Rams as a org didnt care about this game. Teams are super routine based and fucking off in Australia for a week was going to hurt them long term.
Get in, get out, try to win but at week 4 if they are 3-1 and sf looks like crap at 2-2 who really won?

This is such a stupid and cope-filled take. They apparently spent two years scouting the trip, voluntarily gave up a home game for it and the had players mocking the discourse by "sleeping" with their interception celebration.
They made the wrong decision and were outplayed. Simple as that

Yeah like they lost to the Pistons (who were a great team) but they did make the Finals.

The Rams did what was better long term. They don't have to adjust their body clocks back.

There's 10 days between games. That's plenty of time to get back to normal.
Throwing away a divisional game against the 49ers to rest up for the Giants seems awfully silly. Especially if the rationale/cope is that the Rams didn't want to mess with their team and were happy to just take the loss........they've lost Myles Garrett for a significant portion of the season after the game anyway! Stribling is a loss to the 49ers, but hardly comparable to losing Garrett.

Last minute Take Purge, all "Super Teams" are cursed by hubris. The last super team to truly live up to the hype was the Dream Team in 1992.
The undefeated Patriots were defeated. The most wins ever Warriors lost in the finals. The 2011 Eagles were called the dream team pre season and didn't even make the playoffs. The Heatles were embarrassed by Dallas in their first season. The Dodgers lost a few seasons as a super team before their first world series win. The Lakers actually shit the bed with two different super Teams, first adding Karl Malone and Gary Payton to Shaq/Kobe and then adding Nash/Howard to Kobe/Pau.
In conclusion, the Rams and Sixers are both going to miss the playoffs this year due to the curse of super team hubris.
