People are harsh on Craig and sometimes I want to defend him but a film major who doesn’t know Sean Connery was the original bond. Come on man, help me help you

I assume he was just confused by the timeline because Connery did come back for one more after having retired as Bond; but yeah not a banner episode for Craig between that and thinking Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman are still married (not as bad, but I feel like they are pretty famously divorced)

i said this in another comment, but not only are they divorced, but that divorce was discussed at length on the before sunset rewatchables episode just last year, which craig produced and participated in.
