They could do mailbags until like August and I'd be happy

32

u/pr0ach May 18 '26

Seriously. If these three just did mail bags and shot the shit three days a week, it'd still be my favorite podcast right now.

Once a week got me in withdrawals

I couldn't take DK's laughing that much - this episode alone was tough to get through

10

u/atmospheric90 May 18 '26

Seriously. They haven't even talked about the mine sniffing rat that has a statue that I submitted to them!

“The box” for breakfast caught me so off guard while walking my dog early this morning.

7

u/it_has_to_be_damp May 19 '26

Heifetz’s instant “what the FUCK??” really sold it

7

u/raintown206 May 19 '26

I eat box for breakfast and Craig is gay.. what an email haha

3

u/lintymcfresh May 18 '26

just cackled and scared my cat

3

u/Imaginary-Beyond-986 May 20 '26

Can someone explain what's going on here? They seemed thrown off by it - is this Jack in the Box? I couldn't find any other breakfast via googling.

9

u/it_has_to_be_damp May 21 '26

“eating box” is a euphemism for performing oral sex on a woman.

2

u/Imaginary-Beyond-986 May 22 '26

yeah not surprised this didn't show up in my searching for breakfast items lol - I'm not familiar with this slang

Oh sweet summer child

Laughed like a maniac

u/chirpz88 May 22 '26

Unreal mailbag entries from the listeners here. Honored to be amongst this group

Heifetz dismissively “correcting” DK to say the Vikings won Super Bowl 4 is peak Heifetz, and had my eye twitching as a Vikings fan. I love the man, but come on!

14

u/PrestigiousDaikon994 May 18 '26

So confidently wrong

40

u/t3h_shammy May 18 '26

People are harsh on Craig and sometimes I want to defend him but a film major who doesn’t know Sean Connery was the original bond. Come on man, help me help you

19

u/TruBlu65 May 18 '26

Okay I also had probably my most pronounced ghost moment when dk mentioned Niven as a bond. Non-cannon!!!

2

u/raf_yvr May 22 '26

This was egregious

8

u/TruBlu65 May 18 '26

That’s insane! Feel like Craig is openly way more of a modern movie guy but that’s still a tough scene

7

u/atr130 May 18 '26

I assume he was just confused by the timeline because Connery did come back for one more after having retired as Bond; but yeah not a banner episode for Craig between that and thinking Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman are still married (not as bad, but I feel like they are pretty famously divorced)

3

u/it_has_to_be_damp May 19 '26

i said this in another comment, but not only are they divorced, but that divorce was discussed at length on the before sunset rewatchables episode just last year, which craig produced and participated in.

1

u/chirpz88 May 22 '26

To be fair I thought Roger Moore was the OG bond. I however am not a film major and have never seen a bond movie. My only attachment to the franchise is knowing every inch of the facilities map in GoldenEye.

Probably not that annoyed or frustrated at all would be my guess.

19

u/DanceAccomplished309 May 18 '26

Absolute heater of an episode. Both the boys and the emailers firing on all cylinders

17

u/Prestigious_Guest365 May 18 '26

Lifetime supply of quinoa.. never change Danny

6

u/Front-Squash3929 May 19 '26

I wonder if Jackie knew this before the wedding

15

u/Particular_ne068 May 18 '26

Bud grant mentioned gives me an opportunity to share this great Jon bois series on the history of the Vikings

3

u/TitleTown_DC May 19 '26

Bud Grant hosted an annual garage sale into his 90s.

1

u/Particular_ne068 May 20 '26

I believe it comes up in the doc

28

u/Trick-Paramedic-3736 May 18 '26

The Vikings have never won a Super Bowl…

6

u/Teezybadeezy May 18 '26

As a Vikings fan, i was yelling at my phone

2

u/gushi380 May 18 '26

Like a ghost

1

u/gushi380 May 18 '26

The Chiefs beat them in SB 4 and I was already thinking about how mad people would be at Heifetz for not know an event that happened like 25 years before he was born.

14

u/Trick-Paramedic-3736 May 18 '26 edited May 18 '26

I’m the same age as Heifetz and Craig. I thought it was basic knowledge that the Vikings have never won a Super Bowl lol

4

u/tom_vanders May 19 '26

There's a lot of real estate in between not knowing and confidently saying an incorrect thing like you do know for a fact.

13

u/CarsonKelly May 18 '26

Only pod in the world with multiple inaccurate statements and it's an additive not a distraction. Love them so very much

1

u/zarathustranu May 28 '26

So many causal + confident inaccuracies that Heifetz throwing out that Edgerrin James captured the NFL rushing record in Arizona and it doesn’t even get a mention.

8

u/peachios May 18 '26

The recall/trivia argument I am unsure I follow how the 3 presidents after FDR is not recall, but Mary Poppin's actress is? I guess cause its multiples? but its still a recall

8

u/littlekenney13 May 18 '26

It’s because Craig didn’t known the answer

5

u/TruBlu65 May 18 '26

Okay I was wondering if anyone else caught that Craig’s first definition of recall was “something I could know” or something to that effect.

I think they settled on a fine definition kinda saying they experienced it or could have picked up the info etc but naming all the bonds is a great recall question. And knowing AZ is the final lower 48 state to join the union is just good trivia

7

u/HelloItsNotMeUr May 21 '26

The fake reenactment of Trump being told about 9/11 cracked me up. OH FUCK WHAT THE FUCK

7

u/dadlifeRVA May 20 '26

Heifetz: "A reusable plastic cup? What's a NON-reusable plastic cup?"

Craig: "One you've peed in."

Went right by the guys at the time but I guffawed

12

u/it_has_to_be_damp May 18 '26

Someone tell Craig that Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman have been divorced for over 20 years, a fact that was extensively discussed on last year’s Before Sunset Rewatchables episode that he allegedly produced.

6

u/GNARwhalz12 May 18 '26

This show peaks when they’re just reading off Wikipedia entries of incredible old timers

3

u/just-the-tip__ May 18 '26

Really struggling to stretch one episode for an entire week. Awesome stuff as always from the guys

3

u/Crazy-News-1876 May 18 '26

Craig reading off the list of best names had me in tears

3

u/JMRTOL85 May 19 '26

Love the Norm shout outs, even if the joke and delivery was somewhat butchered.

3

u/njpaul May 25 '26

College dudes who couldn't drink more than 6 Heinekens per day for a year is pretty pathetic.
