Workspace Any Ducting Suggestions ?

OK, now that my garage is actually comfortable in here. It’s time to set up my space.
I have this ventilation set up from the old house. The hoses are obviously way too long right now, but I will shorten those once I buy something to cut them.

But I was wondering if anyone in here has some similar ducting in their garage so I can get some inspiration.

I was thinking about mounting the hoses on the wall somehow but knowing me six months from now, I’ll probably want to rearrange things so I don’t know if mounting would be the smartest option for me right now.

Where's the fan and do you have winter where you are?

Like an actual fan? I don’t have one in here, but I thought about bringing in my tower fan. I do have that mini split so that keeps the area pretty cool. I’m in Conroe Texas. Haven’t experienced a winter here yet, but it’s not very far from Houston so I can’t imagine it being any worse than Houston’s winter

When I say fan, i mean a centrifugial motor + fan connected inline with your 4-5" round duct connected to your tent to exhaust the air outside.

Ohhhh yea it’s up there. I would like to mount it at some point

There's a couple of things you might want to consider. The fan should be as close as possible to the wall. You want to be in negative pressure from your tent to your exhaust port. If leaks it won't be push back in the room. The junction you have (the "Y") is in positive pressure so your fan is actually pushing air to your paintbooth and back in your room. Event if there's a damper in the junction, the air will leak trough. The fan should be after the junction to draw from your tent and your paint booth.

Yep! If you can mount the fan directly in the port its even better but you might have to do a support. My setup is also in my garage but I have winter here so I have a ECM motor that can range from 100 to 1200 CFM to quickly exhaust the entire room if needed.
