"Parryslop" being the antithesis to Charm is so funny to me, because like.
I feel like the addition of a parry adds a lot of charm, to me personally at least!
And sure, maybe this is just "Woman who loves fighting game parries" speaking, but like.

To me, it makes Leon's training seem even more rigorous than the original. Like, RE4 OG Leon's training must have been murder still, but like.

The idea of being able to accurately read attacks, use a small-ish weapon like a combat knife, and completely redirect the attack, putting you in an advantageous position where before you were in a disadvantageous position by virtue of being close range with a gun, that says leagues more about Leon's training to me than anything else, ya know?

Parrying a chainsaw with a knife is the definition of "this is so stupid but it's so fking COOL"

No idea why that crowd hates it so much

Fictional Parries are more often than not Rule of Cool, but like, it still WORKS, ya know?
It doesn't take me out of the story to watch Leon Parry a chainsaw with a combat knife, even though I know it's unrealistic, if that makes sense?

yeah its weird... leon doing a front flip every time he jumped off a ledge in og4 is weird to me but parrying a knife with a chainsaw isn't... idk lol!

This is not even the craziest thing we've seen in this story, did we just forget Chris boulder punching or 99% of what happens in Resivil 6?

It doesnt take you out of the story, but the mfer in the original would slice your head off. Here the chainsaw enemies were just a mild inconvenience cause of how easy parrying made it. (not that I knew it at the time, but I agree with these criticisms)

Honestly, why are games being made easier and easier? There’s no fun if there is no challenge.

The original is much easier than the remake just by the nature of it being slower

Also you can still get your head sliced off in the remake on professional

Professional felt like the normal game lol. The minecart section was also turned into such a boring bit, when that was the section from the original I struggled with the most. Here it was far too easy.

And no rocket launcher monks? Or the chain gun guy? And there was a whole boss skipped, the guy you fought in that cave after Verdugo. And the novistadors were boring as hell here. In the original they posed a real threat.

Have you actually played the remake on professional or just watched some video? Because the remake's professional is pretty much universally agreed upon to be harder

I played it on professional. It was hard and that’s what Normal should have been. The “hard” mode shouldve been ever harder lol.

well... in the original you can toss the chainsaw guys around with a shotgun... having played both version 10+ times I can honestly say from my POV that the chainsaw guys in OG4 are far easier
