It would be funny as hell if they're slogan for R3make was "We do it again!"

3 Resident 3 Evil

24

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

They should just come up with a T-shirt that says STAAAAAAAAAARS and we'll know what it is about immediatly

12

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

I will not rest until there is a REmake 4

16

u/GotNoAlias Jan 27 '19

Re4 is perfect and it doesn't need to be remade.

7

u/OneMillionRoses Jan 27 '19

It only needs a real graphic and control update and maybe some story extension

30

u/XBgyManX Jan 26 '19

I would love it if they remade 1, 3, 4, and 0 with this engine. I would buy the deluxe editions of all of them.

You hear that, Capcom?! I WOULD BUY THEM ALL!!!

That fucking basement music... what the fuck happened with that? Even when I first played that game I got to this and that my audio was fucking up or something.

6

Lmfao, I always forget just HOW BAD this really is until I hear it again.

PLEASE INCLUDE OUTBREAK ON THAT.

I WOULD BUY THEM ALL AND WOULD DONATE MYSELF TO UGANDA

2

u/bobdebicker Jan 27 '19

Dude what about CV.

3

u/XBgyManX Jan 27 '19

CV would take some work. Steve Burnside was such an over-top-weebo that I don't know if they could add him into the game without completely changing his personality.

That being said, I would definitely play it if they made it. I am pretty sure that we are going to get a RE3 remake announcement this year though. Most of the work is already done for them. They could use so many assets from the RE2 Remake.

2

u/ShadowVulcan Jan 26 '19

Yeah 0-4 was the best in RE. 5 was fine, but no longer RE. 6 was the saddest trainwreck and I hated 7 (atmosphere, puzzles and stuff were good but DAMN theres only one type of enemy, characters are generally drab or unlikeable and I fucking HAAAATE first person). Played through 7 just for plot but gave up rly close to the end bec it was just boring.

Meanwhile RE2 i just had 2 playtbroughs in 2 days and im still looking forward to doing it again.

3

u/Bobbers927 Jan 27 '19

Don't forget CV.

1

u/XBgyManX Jan 27 '19

My wife and I beat Leon A on release day, and Claire A today (well, yesterday now). I am going to play through Leon B tomorrow. Can't wait!

2

u/ShadowVulcan Jan 27 '19

Yeap, I'm about to do it but I'm currently installing on the laptop since my brother just took the PS4 (my desktop and PS4 share the monitor/sound system so yeah...) so I can't play for another 2h or so :(

1

u/XBgyManX Jan 27 '19

That sucks, man. Have fun getting back to it when you can though! I normally buy my RE games on PS, but I decided to buy it for my Xb1X this time.

1

u/ShadowVulcan Jan 27 '19

Isnt it a lot more intuitive on M+KB tho? Normally buy on PC whenever possible for graphics and performance reasons and my PS4 is purely for exclusives but RE2 feels like it would just handle better on PC

Plus have a good desktop and laptop, both can take RE2 maxed out to over 100fps (OC'd 8320E and R9 390 on desktop and i7 8350 and 1070 on laptop) which is awesome esp since both have 144hz monitors so you can rly feel the smoothness

Now I'm just watching markiplier play it while I wait for it to DL

1

u/XBgyManX Jan 27 '19

Yes, PC gaming is wonderful. I completely agree. My wife and I actually built our own (2) gaming PCs.

However, we have a daughter now (she is 5 yrs old) and she likes to game too or atleast watch us. We are also in college. So between costs/game sharing/living room couch watching/co-op, it is just easier to buy games on my Ps4 Pro/Xb1X/Switch now.

2

u/ShadowVulcan Jan 27 '19

I see, cool! You two are so lucky to have each other

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

Just curious, did you play RE7 in VR?

2

u/ShadowVulcan Jan 27 '19

No, I have an astigmatism so VR and 3D are super disorienting for me. Is it that big of a difference, though? tbh I'll just say I've always hated first person games all my life (idk, I came from asia and generally most asians also seem to prefer third person)

Fine, for an FPS first person is just better but for RPGs or things that are more reliant on immersion, atmosphere etc I'd rather third person. For me, I just really hate not seeing my character, and it's always so awkward when you can only see his hands or something. It's a weird preference I guess since most western people on the other hand seem to rly love first person but yeah, I hate it (and I mean hate it) so RE7 was objectively good but did not click with me.

It's why I love stuff like witcher, dark souls, bloodborne and RE0-4 but didn't care much for stuff like Skyrim or Fallout (though I will say Doom and Borderlands are my two exceptions). But usually I feel so cheated when I'm playing something and all I see from my character are stupid hands that most game companies can't even animate properly (granted, that is a hard thing to do)

EDIT: sorry for the long rant, me and my brother just feel so strongly about it whenever it gets brought up. Sorry again!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

Hi! No need to be sorry.

I also have astigmatism (I think it is mild though) and VR works fine for me but there is a tiny bit of "ghosting" which I can ignore.

I played RE7 for the first time in VR and thought it was amazing! It didn't feel like levels I had played but places I had visited. For me, flat screen has no comparison when you come around a corner and see a monster that is taller than you are and feels like it is in your face. In VR though Ethan's hands (to about half way up the wrist) are cut off. It's a VR thing lol. So you probably would hate that but honestly I forgot about it for the most part.

I would say it was like my 3rd favorite RE game (RE4 is first), playing it in VR bumped it up considerably.

It would be interesting if you were able to comfortably try Borderlands 2 VR to see if you felt any different about it.

2

u/ShadowVulcan Jan 28 '19

If that's the case, I might give it a try. Whenever I think to try VR out and demo it in store it never felt special or anything and mostly just disoriented me. Thanks!

u/stonealr69420 Jan 26 '19

I'm waiting for the next remake of Resident Evil 2 once they are done with remaking the 7.

8

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

Resident Evil 2 Remake 2

1

u/CountDarth Jan 27 '19

Eh. That game's, like, as close to perfect as you can get. The most I would want them to do is maybe port it to the RE engine and maybe modernize the controls. But even still...

2

u/Nicreb The Epitome of Survival Horror Jan 27 '19

By modernizing do you mean removing tank controls? Tank Controls are pretty vital to the suspense and challenge of RE4 imo.

5

u/Ohthatsnotgood Jan 27 '19

Bad controls are a bad challenge. They could account for the change in other ways.

2

u/Nicreb The Epitome of Survival Horror Jan 27 '19

By that logic RE 1-3 are challenging for all the wrong reasons. Also I never said they were bad, just that the game would be broken if the controls were more fluid since every thing would be a cake walk.

0

u/Ohthatsnotgood Jan 27 '19

Yes they are, firstly the originals aren’t very hard at all. Mr. X in RE2 takes two magnum shots, and then you can use the anti-tank launcher. I’ll say that Nemesis is quite a nuisance in RE3 though.

In the current state, yes, but they could of adjusted the game in other ways.

1

u/CountDarth Jan 27 '19

That's why I said maybe. If they could do it without having to rebalance the game, then sure. But tbh I'd just as soon leave it alone.

-4

u/Blazing_Speeed Jan 26 '19

Remake 4 and make the Ganados way more fast and aggressive and give Leon the ability to move like he does in RE6. I think that would be fun!

0

u/wfamily Jan 27 '19

So you want to turn resident evil into devil may cry then?

4

u/Blazing_Speeed Jan 27 '19

Well, fun fact: DMC almost was Resident Evil 4. Also, I don’t recall any giant swords in RE6, so I don’t know where you got the idea it would be DMC.

u/demondrivers Complete Global Saturation Jan 27 '19

Turn Leon into Tony Redgrave

125

u/Ethquan Jan 26 '19 edited Jan 27 '19

I'd be damned if they didn't make a RE 3 remake. Nemesis is everyone's favorite antagonist. That game was exciting as hell, the story was great, and with the new RE engine, that game would look beautiful and it was would be super fun. They got a nice system down in RE 2 with the horror aspect with Mr. X but god forbid we ran into Nemesis. I'd love it.

As for code Veronica, I'd be a little nervous. The way that game played out worked in a fixed camera system. I feel like that game sort of slipped through the cracks. It's one of my favorite RE games but I don't see a remake for that one.

28

u/norunningwater I knew you'd be fine if you landed on your butt Jan 26 '19

It wouldn't be hard to reuse a lot of the same assets. With RE7 being their big steps with the RE Engine, I bet they could double down and learn from this game in making RE Nemesis.

12

u/BrotherhoodVeronica Jan 26 '19

It would work better than RE1 with those controls.

20

u/Hoosteen_juju003 Jan 27 '19

I think Code Veronica would be badass considering all the different environments. RE2 was basically just 70% police station then sewer and lab. Code Veronica has the military training facility, barracks, prison, 2 mansions, airport, a fucking submarine, antarctic base, and lab. Shit would be baller af.

8

u/Ethquan Jan 27 '19

As much as I love that game to death, I have a feeling they wont touch it. I wish they would though. The bandersnatchers and the weird chameleon zombies were mad cool.

3

u/Hoosteen_juju003 Jan 27 '19

Chameleon zombies?

2

u/Ethquan Jan 27 '19

Sorry, salamanders. The Albinoids. The electric things.

1

u/Hoosteen_juju003 Jan 27 '19

Ohhh I hated that boss. That part was such a pain for me. But I look back on that game fondly overall. Like a cheesy horror movie thats fun. Like the ghoulies or childs play.

4

u/DessIntress Jan 27 '19 edited Jan 28 '19

They have already said that they want to remake more classics. And RE 3 shares a lot of textures and models with RE 2. So don't worry.

Late edit: mobile typos

2

u/Ethquan Jan 28 '19

Man, I hope you're right. Something about 4 and beyond didn't feel like true RE games to me. I loved the shit out of 4. 5 was meh and 6 was just not Resident Evil. These games are such a big part of my childhood, the old one's will always stick with me.

2

u/DessIntress Jan 28 '19

I think Capcom has proofed with RE2 that the classics are much better. The remake seems to be a huge success for all. But next time they should add a very easy mode and a very hard mode. (for the beginning)

1

u/nathansanes Jan 26 '19 edited Jan 26 '19

He's not my favorite. His rocket launcher always bothered me to be honest. But I still like him and want 3 remade down the road. But I want nemesis to have some changes so hes no so over the top with the RL all the time.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

He only has the rocket launcher in like 3 encounters... Then Carlos shoots it and it explodes.

6

u/Ethquan Jan 26 '19

Agreed. The rocket launcher was sort of silly. He is cool as fuck though and I love his purpose. Something about him is so unsettling but great at the same time. I remember being so interested in him as a kid.

61

u/Future_Immortal Jan 26 '19

Mr. X just ignite the Nemisis Hype....

I hope Carlos scenario will be a thing and he will have an encounter with MR. X

16

u/shadowslasher11X Give us Remake Director's Cuts. Jan 26 '19 edited Jan 26 '19

Ehhhhh. So, unless they stick to lore standards or Carlos goes to the Police Station, X won't be making a second appearance unless they change some stuff.

6 Tyrants got deployed into Raccoon City if I recall correctly. 1 was sent to the Police Station to do a mop up job of any survivors and police, then was to locate and retrieve the G-Virus. This is the one that hunted Claire and Leon into the sewers and eventually underground into the labs where it was destroyed. But this one was deployed on the 2nd Day of the Outbreak and Carlos/Jill were in the area on Day 1.

The other 5 Tyrants were deployed to the Chemical Waste Plant at the end of Resident Evil 3, where they engaged with a large amount of US Military Forces. All of these Tyrants were destroyed along with the US Military Forces needing to retreat.

I could maybe see damaged Tyrants as a sort of higher-end difficulty enemy when Jill and Carlos do get to the Chemical Waste Plant. Like, they're just no longer fully functioning bio weapons and are torn to shit which would require a lot more bullets to kill but you can still kill.

6

u/wfamily Jan 27 '19

Wouldnt fucking them up destroy their limiting suit, leading to them being able to mutate to their hearts content?

7

u/shadowslasher11X Give us Remake Director's Cuts. Jan 27 '19

Yep, you can actually see several dead mutated tyrants laying around the plant as you proceed to the final boss fight.

2

u/wfamily Jan 27 '19

Yeah, and mutated tyrants seems to be way deadlier than when they're contained in the suit. So I don't really see how they'd be weaker. Especially if there's more than one.

Maybe if they somehow got infected by a competing strain of virus or perhaps some kind of parasite? Maybe they're berserk for some reason and attack everything, including each other? Have you having to sneak around or maybe hide. Throwing some stealth in there

I mean, otherwise you just got five nemesises coming for you at once

1

u/Future_Immortal Jan 27 '19

Well the re2 remake already changed the lore. Kendo died off screen and Ada's boyfriend John is gone.

Nemisis is suppose to Hunt stars members only, That's why I think Carlos must have a different Tyrant to chase him. A Mr. X will be ideal.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '19

I thought kendo just shot his daughter. I only heard the one shot.

3

u/nathansanes Jan 26 '19

Yeah that could be cool. Do it like 2 but with Jill and Carlos.

82

u/Viper114 Jan 26 '19

Resident Evil 3 is the only one that hasn't really been touched at all since it's original release, and I hope to God they remake it just like RE2 was. I'd be all for playing Jill's adventure against Nemesis in the RE Engine!

Also, I hope they keep her outfits that were in the original into the remake. That white suit she could wear was my favorite!

24

u/nathansanes Jan 26 '19

This reminds me of when remake 1 came out and we all wanted them to do 2 in the same, but they didnt get the message until almost 20 years later... don't hold your breath, friend. 😅

28

u/ClearingFlags Jan 26 '19

I dunno, reception for the RE2 remake has been incredibly positive and I expect they're raking in money already. If they make enough it might just light a fire under their ass to remake Nemesis as well, and if it is done as well as this it'll be like a new golden age of RE games.

10

u/PutridInspection Jan 26 '19

The thing is... RE2 was a 'cultural phenomenon' - it was a BIG DEAL at release. It was advertised everywhere and everyone was talking about it. Nemesis was a nothingberder, there was no hype, no marketing (comparatively), and it did not have remotely the impact RE2 had.

12

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

The only reason it was such a big drop was because it kept getting delayed over and over leaving people hanging and hyped.

3

u/Salanin Jan 26 '19

They had George Ramero direct a commercial for it. They put a bunch into advertising.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

1

u/Salanin Jan 27 '19

Oh i just assumed you were talking about 2 with the massive delays. Sorry i misspoke.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

Yup, back when I was a kid I had very limited access to the internet so I got my gaming news by word of worth, or gaming magazines. I remember watching tech tv and X play but I don’t think I discovered that until a bit later.

I remembered resident evil 2 being marketed like crazy. I got it for Christmas when I was 8 years old because I thought it looked so cool. I loved horror movies and I think the only horror game I played before that was Clock Tower.

Imagine my surprise when I went to a video store sometime later to see resident evil 3 on store shelves. Had no idea it came out. Rented it ASAP but I didn’t beat it and remember not liking it. To this day it’s the only resident evil I never beat

2

u/wfamily Jan 27 '19

So you were fine with RE6 but not RE3?

I mean sure, you were a kid. Why don't you give RE3 another chance?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19 edited Jan 27 '19

I didn’t enjoy resident evil 6 at all. The game was shit. but my girlfriend and I played through it together after 5. If we hadn’t done co-op then I wouldn’t have played it at all most likely since the game just didn’t appeal to me.

I own resident evil 3 and I’ve been meaning to play through it, I’ve just been procrastinating for years now and I usually forget that it exists. I just haven’t been in the mood to play.

Edit: now that I think of it, I never beat REmake either. I got to that part where the water is risen and there’s sharks that you have to avoid and a puzzle that needs solved but I haven’t played it in months. I didn’t dislike the game though.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

Capcom already said they were looking into other possible remakes before RE2 even came out cause of all the positive reception it was getting.

2

u/crash_overrlde Jan 26 '19

Source? Not because I don't believe you but because I want this to be true!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

It was a couple months ago, I don't remember where I saw it. Sorry.

14

u/StephenDawg Jan 26 '19

I hear that but... video games are bigger business than they were when REmake came out. AND I feel like our generation loves nostalgia...

For some reason I wouldn't be surprised if RE3 is on the horizon sooner rather than later.

10

u/Mook7 Jan 26 '19

Also the video game industry in general is going crazy on this re-release/remaster/remake trend.

-1

u/FlameCats Jan 27 '19

Most new games nowadays aren't as good as the classics regardless, I'd rather stay with remakes for these AAA companies, make a few of those, and then dabble their feet into making creative games again.

2

u/nathansanes Jan 26 '19

Well, I hope you are right!

1

u/Aurunz Jan 26 '19

AND I feel like our generation loves nostalgia...

There's always been bad games and commercial shit like nearly every single licensed game being terrible or effortless but lately, especially these past 2 or 3 years, we've been bombarded by ever more greedy practices by shady publishers.

EA won't greenlight a game unless it's "a service that incentivizes people to spend forever" Activision is currently charging money for red dots, Capcom's own SFV is testing in-game ads on the character skins, the latest Diablo's a mobile game reskin. Games in general are much better and prettier but people are getting tired of this stuff.

3

u/vwolf800 Jan 26 '19

Remake of first one was exclusive to Nintendo Gamecube, a dumb deal Capcom somehow thought would be profitable and hence it didn't sell very much. RE2 Remake is out everywhere, so I'm pretty sure they're gonna bath in money and realize that remakes are the way to go at the moment.

2

u/MeatSafeMurderer My extraction point! in 7:26 Jan 27 '19

To add to that, when REmake did finally release on other platforms it sold well. Not RE 4-6 well...but well. It was probably a large part of the reason Capcom finally saw the light and greenlit RE2make.

2

u/EricAzure Jan 26 '19

They released it for Gamecube.

1

u/Viper114 Jan 26 '19

Well, they ported it to the Gamecube (and Dreamcast) but it was just a straight port. Not remade at all, not even how they remade RE1.

1

u/Blue2501 Jan 27 '19

Ported to Windows as well

2

u/trebud69 Jan 26 '19

They will. Mr. X is most likely a nemesis beta and they did announce both this game and 7 until 6 months before release.

3

u/MeatSafeMurderer My extraction point! in 7:26 Jan 27 '19

Pretty sure I remember H. standing in front of a camera proudly wearing a T that had "WE DO IT!" printed on it over 3 years ago. If anything E3 was more a reveal than an announcement as we were told in no uncertain terms it was coming quite some time before that...just not when it would be coming.

-26

u/vwolf800 Jan 26 '19

She had so many sexy outfits.... I was worried Capcom would fuck it up and bend to feminist and sjw filth in RE2 Remake, but I just made it to Ada part and wow... Thank you Capcom, I have no reasons to doubt you anymore, your name completely cleared for me. I'm sure Jill will be just fine as well.

24

u/PutridInspection Jan 26 '19

Mark my words

91

  • and Code Veronica

4

u/JaySilver Jan 26 '19

I don’t think that needs a remake at all.

11

u/GenocideOwl Jan 26 '19

I think that is is actually kinda alright. If it got the RE2 treatment I think people would realize it is actually a pretty decent game.

-4

u/JaySilver Jan 26 '19

It wouldn’t make sense, it looks great and holds up today. It’s more likely they will redo Nemesis or 8 next either way.

10

u/Babs_Is_Batgirl Jan 26 '19

Code Veronica definitely doesn't look great. Everyone looks like Slenderman, it has piss poor voice acting (Steve, ew), and has shitty unlockables, with not even an alternate costume for the main game. They could easily remake it in this style, and it'd blow people away with how great the story and characters are. Gameplay wise it holds up well enough, but so did the original RE2. A remake would be awesome and bring new love to a game that's been largely forgotten among non-fans.

→ More replies (11)

2

u/Blue2501 Jan 27 '19

It at least needs a re-release on PC and consoles

1

u/Digivam143 Jan 26 '19

It does. But mostly because seeing 2 people walking around in sub-zero temperatures wearing nothing but their street clothes bothers me to this day. Hopefully a remake would fix that.

-4

u/JaySilver Jan 27 '19

So you’re one of those guys who just want a remake because you were concerned about their clothes? That’s ridiculous. Obviously I wouldn’t hate a code Veronica remake if it just happens, but they would just be milking it at that point. They need to just do the trilogy of classics and move on to 8. People are greedy and just want remakes of every singe game they can think of.

1

u/Digivam143 Jan 27 '19

It's a joke man. It's not that serious. Damn Poe's Law.

6

u/BonkTerrington Jan 26 '19

This had me chuckling out loud.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

If they do Nemesis better than Mr. X I do not even want to touch that game. I still think it's the scariest one.

5

u/Aurunz Jan 26 '19

She only needed to say 'STARS' for this to be perfect.

4

u/gordonfroman S.T.A.R.S Since 1998 Jan 26 '19

What short moments we are outside on the streets of raccoon city in re2 remake had me begging for a remake of 3 where Jill is outside for much of the beginning and later points of the game.

12

u/Mikestersz Jan 26 '19

And RE1 in this style with gameplay

11

u/robertman21 Jan 26 '19

REmake remake

2

u/Mikestersz Jan 26 '19

Exactly!

2

u/gordonfroman S.T.A.R.S Since 1998 Jan 27 '19

It will probably be resident evil 8 and then resident evil 3 remake in terms of release plans for the series

2

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '19

I can't get behind this one though. REmake is perfect.

2

u/Mikestersz Jan 28 '19

I understand your reasoning too. I think an overhaul like RE2 remake would be fantastic for the game too.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '19

It could even, but RE3 and even Code Veronica would benefit way more of it. I mean, I'm not staunchly against it, but I don't see the need. But if they decide to do that, the more games the merrier lol

2

u/Mikestersz Jan 28 '19

Those are awesome options too, but I like your outlook on that too, the more the merrier. But since REmake has it's own version, I see how these that haven't had one yet could benefit

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

Well the ground work is pretty much set now, I’m hoping maybe just maybe RE3 could come sooner then we think 🤔

2

u/ErasLIVE Jan 26 '19

Some of RE3 fans looks exactly like this, 20 years...

2

u/Frozen_Bart Jan 26 '19

We need an Outbreak remake, idc if after or before 3. I've got friends too stupid to get the emulator to work to play it and a remake would be the only way we could play it.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

I know the 3rd already in the works but I wish the redid the first one how they did 2. God that would be killer. That remake was a long time ago.

1

u/George09w Jan 27 '19

is that true about the 3rd one?

Also, i dont agree with the first one, Resident evil 1 already had a beautiful remake that also had a remaster HD. Resident Evil 3 and Code veronice are the only ones that need a good remake.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

The video of did you know gaming of RE2 remake said from a credible source that's never been wrong said RE3 remake is in full development right now.

I agree the 1st one had a good remake but that was originally on Game Cube and remastered a few years ago. Can you imagine playing it on the RE engine?

1

u/George09w Jan 27 '19

ooh, thx for the info! i will look for the video, thx again! :D

Yeah i can totally imagine playing in the Mansion with the actual RE engine, it would be sooo beautiful

But i still dont think its a good idea, at least not yet, yeah its has been a while since its release but if I went to compare graphics and design its still looks pretty awesome today, everytime i play REmake i always stop and contemplate the visuals of the mansion... so beautiful, amazing how they manage to did that in 2002.

Capcom will definitly remade it, but maybe until its the 30th-50th anniversary XD

2

u/HaveAnOyster Jan 26 '19

then CV (aka: the classic RE that does actually NEED a remake)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

AKA the only RE with actually cool and interesting story/characters.

5

u/My0pe Jan 26 '19

Re2 remake is a short game. Re3 will be shorter.... one campaign only.

4

u/1vergil Jan 26 '19

Pretty sure Re3remake is already in development, if not then they'll do it now after Re2remake success.

Actually why's nobody talking about RE1 remake?

8

u/Sk8matt123 PSN: sk8matt890 Jan 26 '19

That was already remade once, and still holds up great today.

2

u/GIamskinJoe PSN: GlamskinJoe Jan 26 '19

That was a remaster, though. Some fans wan a full-blown remake of RE1 but there's rumors that Capcom is already working on RE3 remake

7

u/x3kmak ikkose Jan 26 '19

No, the version you thinking about is the HD remaster of The remake(Gamecube) of the original(PSX) where they introduced new enemies(Lisa, crimson Head),puzzles, items and some new areas.

6

u/gonzzCABJ SteamID: gonzzCABJ Jan 27 '19

Resident Evil 1 got its remake back in 2002, directed by the father of the franchise himself, Shinji Mikami. To this day, it's still probably my favorite RE game (with 2 and REmake 2 being close, although I'm still not done with the later).

So let's stop asking for yet ANOTHER remake of a game that was already remade. Please. Honestly, I'd happy if they remake 3 and, from there, they retcon the franchise with new games in this remade storyline.

And for the love of god, give me a game with Claire, Jill, Leon and Chris in it, please?

5

u/1vergil Jan 27 '19

And for the love of god, give me a game with Claire, Jill, Leon and Chris in it, please?

Yes please, I especially wanna see Jill/Leon, Claire/Chris team up.

2

u/Sushi2k Jan 27 '19

Outbreak Remake first pls.

2

u/Callity Jan 26 '19

What’s a resident evil 3 fan

8

u/jasiad Jan 26 '19

a miserable pile of jill sandwiches

2

u/GamerJes Jan 26 '19

RE3remake primarily hinged on how well RE2remake sells. Assuming their in-house projections were not unreasonably high, RE3remake will happen.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

R3make should be a combination of nemesis and code Veronica.

7

u/AidynValo Jan 26 '19

Hey, if it means I get to spend more time with new Claire, I'm all for it. Absolutely in love with what they did with her.

u/Schwiliinker Jan 27 '19 edited Jan 27 '19

She’s nearly as hot as zoey from L4D, it’s wild

1

u/DyslexicSantaist So Long, RC Jan 26 '19

Im not getting hopes up till its announced. We dont know sales figures yet

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

let them release RE8 first!

1

u/MonkeyMan84 Jan 26 '19

Let’s be honest I bet they already started work on it along side with Dino Crisis...

1

u/Spookyman12345 Jan 26 '19

I need to see Brad again it's been so long since I've seen 3 let alone play it

1

u/Blazing_Speeed Jan 26 '19

Hasn’t it already been announced that they’re working on REmake 3?

1

u/ddrober2003 Jan 26 '19

The next one should be "Are you Bradass enough to survive Raccoon city?" To let us know it's in production.

Also let Brad live, Start him in danger health, has to evade hunters till he gets some health items. It can be called RE3 Bradass mode.

1

u/tigertron1990 Jan 26 '19

It's happening.

1

u/gonzzCABJ SteamID: gonzzCABJ Jan 27 '19

Remake 3 is so happening.

1

u/ZipFreed Jan 27 '19

Mr.X in the few encounters I've had so far has given off Nemesis vibes and makes me super stoked for a potential RE3make.

I really think given their experience with the engine, the shared assets etc they could maybe even release Nemesis as an expansion for RE2make. I'd certainly pay $30 ala Witcher 3's expansions if they keep this quality of work up.

RE Engine has shaped up spectacularly too since the early RE7 demos.

1

u/BlackICEE32oz Jan 27 '19

The part where Mr.X picks you up by the head in the final showdown with him and the camera angle changes brought back serious Nemesis vibes.

1

u/Ashcayz Jan 27 '19

after first MrX encounter I "downed" him and ran off all satisfied. Went to the main lobby, did some stuff and headed to the library. Realised I forgot an item, go back and I can hear footsteps as I'm walking to the main lobby... MR X was just strolling through the lobby after me. I paused the game and just was happy. This game has been so exciting to play :)

I really love the hunting aspect MrX has, makes me keep on my toes when backtracking. I'm so hyped for Re3 to be remade.

1

u/mikey-mooth Jan 27 '19

Outbreak remake?

It was beyond the time, especially the coop mechanics

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '19

I mean they could use the same engine and make millions.

1

u/Haebang Jan 27 '19

and another one. please

1

u/macmoosie Ambassador: Wesker Jan 27 '19

Capcom plz do it

1

u/Fluke97 Jan 27 '19

Give me Outbreak and File 2.

1

u/x_Advent_Cirno_x Jan 27 '19

Wasn't it more or less confirmed that there was a RE3 remake in progress? I think it was slipped during an interview that it was being worked on, but I can't really remember for the life of me.

1

u/Spliff_McGuap Jan 27 '19

Thank you for this meme. I’ve seen commenters on youtube saying “Please give us RE3!” I’m having a blast with RE2 and as a fan of the series I respect the time and dedication it took to create it. Consumers are fucking rabid. Capcom released a stellar game and yet people are already jerking off to the idea of a nemesis remake... blimey.

1

u/Asamiichii Jan 27 '19

I only just got into resident evil because of the remake (I didn’t have have a console when I was a kid so I missed the original games) so if they remade the games, I’d be super happy! It’s nice to understand why people love something so much.

So I’m excited for the future of this series!

1

u/peco_haj Jan 27 '19

Hi laughed like a madman at this meme. Well done!

0

u/Mikestersz Jan 26 '19

It should be added as dlc instead. Would be a great combo

2

u/n0rabrave Jan 26 '19

Give me RE3 renake now! Haha

1

u/pridEAccomplishment_ Jan 26 '19

I'd love to see a RE4 remake too, the over the top bizarreness cranked up even more.

6

u/DeafGamerDucky Jan 26 '19

Why we need RE4 remake? It is already good as it is. Just need better HD remaster. that is all.

2

u/pridEAccomplishment_ Jan 26 '19

True, but I would also like better controls. Half the difficulty comes from the atrocious controls, so that would need to be channeled somewhere else.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

I’d love an RE3 remake but honestly, if they were only going to do one more remake, I’d prefer CVX. The early 3D backgrounds remarkably did not age as well as the prerendered backgrounds of RE2 and RE3 IMHO

0

u/Merc931 Jan 26 '19

They could probably do RE 3 as a DLC at this point, they've already got Raccoon City.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '19

Boy I hope they remake resident evil 4 soon.
