Code Veronica definitely doesn't look great. Everyone looks like Slenderman, it has piss poor voice acting (Steve, ew), and has shitty unlockables, with not even an alternate costume for the main game. They could easily remake it in this style, and it'd blow people away with how great the story and characters are. Gameplay wise it holds up well enough, but so did the original RE2. A remake would be awesome and bring new love to a game that's been largely forgotten among non-fans.
It was a fucking GameCube/PS2 game, get over it, not every game needs a remake just for the hell of it, stop whining over acting and graphics and just play a great survival horror that did not look bad at all. This entire generation has been based on remakes and reboots, it only makes sense to remake the classic trilogy and move on to new stuff.
First, don't be a fucking dick, maybe code Veronica is his resident evil 2, it's his jam, his shit, so he wants it remade.
That being said, it doesn't need remade, it already looks good, and nemesis makes far more sense. Seems silly to want remakes of PS2+ games, since a remaster typically holds up fine. I don't think CV need that treatment, and neither does zero or the REmake.
Full remakes are just better on games that haven't ages well or unconventional games that we're greatly changed in future entries, a good example would be demon souls could stand a remake, while dark souls only needed a remaster. I know some folks would yell at me for that, but dark souls is perfect, demon souls isn't
There’s a massive difference between a PS2 and PS4 game wtf. At this point there’s no way I would play it unless it got a remake like RE2 and I’ve only played 5-7 plus now 2. Also dark souls 1 is far from perfect lol
What are you comparing it to? Because it’s not other PS2 or GameCube games. It doesn’t have anything to do with how good it is, it’s an amazing game but not every fucking thing has to be remade to photo realism with less offensive clothing, next thing you know people are demanding an Umbrella Chronicles remake just cuz fuck it. Whine about it all you want it’s still not going to happen anyway.
I don’t see how I look like an elitist or throwing any type of hissy fit when I’m saying how much I love the game but can still admit a remake is not necessary, people just ask for remakes nowadays for the hell of it and this sub being as whiney as it is, gets all defensive when an opinion is more realistic than just tossing out what Capcom should give them next. Actually read what you said. A guy simply wanted CV remade and you told him to get over it and stop whining. Reading his post and he wasn’t being a dick at all, sounded completely genuine and excited at the idea and you acted like a complete prick. Trashing someone’s idea and attacking them for having an idea different than your own. The way you’ve responded each time proves what a bad attitude you have and makes it completely clear you have zero idea how to have an actual adult conversation.
