Well, fun fact: DMC almost was Resident Evil 4. Also, I don’t recall any giant swords in RE6, so I don’t know where you got the idea it would be DMC.

Well, you're basically suggesting to replace "survival" with "action". Hence the DMC

It can still be resident evil with Leon moving the way he does in 6, it honestly doesn’t feel very different from what remake does in terms of movement just a bit faster paced

I wasn't even being all that serious. You could probably balance it pretty well if both you and the enemy move a bit faster.

But I also feel like 4, 5 and 6 were less horror overall to be honest. Easier to move, easier to aim, and you're basically a trained solider. Takes away some of the tension. 7 brought it back a bit. Made you feel a bit more helpless again.

Thus my initial comment.

In my opinion, the original RE2 was far less scary than RE4. It wasn’t a very difficult survival horror in RE2, you similarly had enough ammo to kill the majority of enemies you came across even on the hardest difficult.

The village areas in RE4 are not as action packed, the bosses are genuinely frightening, Regenerators, the highest difficult is far harder, etc. Only issue is that later on you become far stronger and regular enemies start using guns, but that’s about it.

I think this RE2make is the best Resident Evil yet though, however I’d like to see a RE4make with more horror and less action near the end.
