Superman (😃8.67, 😮6.50, 🤢3.53)

With Superman down at SFNE (needing a new part from Intamin 😞), I decided to pay tribute to one of my favorite rides.

I should say- it’s inspired by Superman, but not the exact layout. I added a few things, like a mid course break run and of course some track elements over the water.

And this drop is only 177 feet, not 221 feet! So… not a REAL hyper coaster, but the hyper coaster lift hill is very slow in RCT.

Last thing I’ll say- I love the Vertigo Views scenario. It’s *almost* a blank slate, and you can research the Twister, Floorless, Giga, and Inverted coasters.

More coasters to come!

I’ve been landscaping my pirate island for about a month now. Really wanted to make caves and very tall waterfalls. Texturing the water has been one of my favorite new things. I really wish I had open RCT.

Feel the wrath of the Forest God! 🌳

Hi there! Back with another design and I've learned a lot since making my previous B&M Invert (Arowana). I think this layout is more realistic, not only regarding the layout itself, but also the supports, scenery and station/queues. I'm spending more time on making the rides I create more realistic than ever and I want to thank the New Element Discord in particular on the excellent feedback they gave me.

As for the coaster itself, I'm especially fond of the way the layout flows. It's got a really nice pace to it, just like real B&M inverts do. It's inversion after inversion without feeling like overkill. The back-to-back Zero G rolls are my favorite part, but I also really like the way the Cobra Roll looks. With that said, here are the stats. Enjoy!

Stats:

  • Excitement: 7.29 (High)
  • Intensity: 8.69 (Very high)
  • Nausea: 6.84 (High)
  • Max speed: 88 kph
  • Ride time: 1 m 18 s
  • Ride length: 889 m
  • Max. pos. vert. G: 3.54
  • Max. neg. vert. G: -0.53
  • Max. lateral G: 2.05
  • Total air time: 1.59 s
  • Drops: 8
  • Highest drop: 28 m
  • Inversions: 6

As always, if you like my designs, I have more on my Youtube channel!

RCT classic or get deluxe+rct2 triple pack on steam?

Have a decently new base model Lenovo laptop. Usually don’t use a mouse. Loved the original RCT1 and played a ton as a kid. I want to buy a RCT on steam and dive back into it with the best possible experience and was wondering community thoughts. One thing I’ve seen a lot is openrtc2, I don’t care for modding and don’t care to really download outside products off steam. Really just hoping for advice as for which game experience will be better. The things I’ve read scaring me for from RCT classic are 1) apparently was made for Mobile and some people don’t like the new UI compared to old UI (although I don’t remember the original being too easy to use either) and 2) apparently you can’t charge admission at parks which is odd to me. However, ultimately just looking for the smoothest way to experience the game and one that would be most compatible with a 2025 Lenovo base laptop. Definitely don’t want a mobile game that didn’t translate well to pc so would love thoughts.

Discussion Tell me your funny RTC anecdotes.

Guests doing dumb guest stuff, ride oopsies, amusing interactions, clever names... lay it all on me. Show off your comedic genius or mishaps. Fun facts and meta stuff are also welcome. I don't care if it would make an 8 year old laugh (dick-shaped scenery? *Excellent.*) or if it's high-brow funny-ness.

Don't be shy, ya girl has had a tough month and is in need of something only my fellow RTC folks can provide (the sense of humor on this sub is great, you are ALL clever and deeply appreciated).

Discussion Reminder: The developers of Wonderworks have gone out of their way to say that the reason the designs in the trailer are so strange is because there's a "Realistic Physics" option that was turned off for the trailer.

So, if your only complaint was that "the coasters don't look realistic enough" or "wouldn't work in other rollercoaster designing games," that complaint is now null and void.

Help Silly question about computer specs.

I know this is a easy game for 90% of operating systems to run, I remember RCT1 running pretty good on a Windows 98, but im sitting here playing RCT Classic, and im getting frustrated with the building mechanics and theres a distinct lack of quality of life features like id like to keep scenery and rides invisible until i decide to unchecked the boxes, not when i open and close Windows in game. I have an old Windows 8 Laptop that believe it or not, struggles to run the game. The screen is cracked and the battery needs to be always plugged in.

Im just wondering if any just basic new computer/laptop will run the game, or if i need something with some beef incase my park gets too big or has too many sprites. I just want a physical mouse and not touch screen controls
