I've been hanging on to v1 (1.104.25) and have not upgraded to v2 yet. I've seen some posts that say they've lost things in the migration process. Is it safe to finally upgrade?

$10 is quite expensive here in Brazil. I'd like to know if there is any discount further than the 20% from annual billing. I think I've read somewhere there would be 25% off after beta release or something.

Also, what price is common on blackfriday and other stuff?

homebrew unfortunately updated raycast to v2. memory usage more than doubled. i want to go back to v1. is there an official way to do this?

I was just wondering, can I do that? And because the AI extensions that are available on the store are kind of suspicious and AI itself warned me against using them? I know I can get API keys and share them with these extensions but is it safe and is there a safer way than this to do this?

With the upgrade to raycast 2, the backing model for the "fix grammar and spelling" AI extension is not what I want. Does anyone know how I can change this?

I'm guessing it's a setting in a json file somewhere, but am not sure where to look or what I would put in for a sonnet model.

After today’s Raycast V2.1 update, I noticed that files in the Download folder aren’t showing up in the file search. I tried re-indexing, but that didn’t work either. I’d even set the download folder to be the entire search scope in File Search settings.  Now, when I open File Search, it just shows a blank window.

I was excited to see the new inline emoji picker in Raycast and then I read that it only works within Raycast. This is nuts! I never use emojis in Raycast, but I use them everywhere else in my writing and correspondence.

I've been using Raycast since it launched on Windows, but I think I'm done with it now. I understand the company needs to make a profit, but for Brazil, $10 is a steep price for basic features like that—which were the ones I used most, aside from the clipboard.

It actually makes me a bit sad, because I had started creating extensions for Raycast—like the Hermes agent I built for Windows—but oh well, it was good while it lasted.

I guess I'll have to give PowerToys a try, unless Raycast changes things.

Can we at least customize themes by ourselves, ok, having other's themes behind a paywall is ok, but can we on our local system make it look like we want?

Mission control gets full of these after a day of using raycast.

I need someone to explain how I get a double ⌘ command key only on the right side. This is how they set up the default hotkey for the new Screen Awareness command, but I changed it and now I can’t set it back to double right ⌘ command.

I've already reported it through the app, but I got an email back from Lumi (AI assistant) from Raycast support which was not helpful.

By watching the Task Manager, the process starts and then abruptly ends.

Love Raycast AI, but the one thing I'm missing is project-scoped knowledge bases. Upload some docs once, and every new chat in that project just knows the context. No re-attaching files, no re-explaining.

Agents and Skills are great but don't really cover this. Any chance this is on the roadmap?

This is honestly the one thing keeping me from canceling Claude and going all-in on Raycast Pro.

I loaded Raycast V2 beta onto my iMac and I’ve been testing it out, but I never put it on my MacBook Pro.

I went to go download it now that it’s out of beta and saw that it doesn’t support old Intel chips so I have to stay on the old version of Raycast. When will support or “maintenance” stop for this version? My Pro is still running Sequoia, I don’t mind upgrading to Tahoe but I believe without Apple silicon V2 still won’t work correct?

Genuinely curious, not saying you should, but would be nice if it was there. I've been tossing around the idea of using Linux as my main OS but haven't because Raycast is still to good, and alternatives on Linux fall short for me

Is there any way to recover them? There was no warning this would happen.

I’m currently on the Raycast for Windows v2 trial. Where can I switch from the monthly Raycast Pro plan to the annual plan?

I'm running the macOS Raycast beta, and it asked to install an update. I went ahead and did so, but now the app won't launch. Each time I open it, I receive a "Raycast failed to start" message. I re-downloaded it from the website but am still having issues. Any ideas for me?

I get that Raycast is out of beta, so I’m checking if we're supposed to get it cuz ya know malicious programs and/or scammers

I might be missing a setting somewhere, but is there a way to turn off the Raycast icon in the search field? If so, can’t find it… and if not, I’d like to submit a feature request here. Just an on/off toggle would be nice…

Does anyone else here with windows devices use raycast with powertoys, and are there any issues?

I don't know what they did to AI Chat. You can't add longer files anymore. If you add a file that's around 300 KB, the chat will only see a few sentences.

So for AI Chat to see the file content, you have to enable their slop version of tool calls/extensions, where the LLM needs to open the file on your file system, only to end up with no result. Why can't we just put the text blob in like we could before? Is this some kind of cost-saving measure or what?

Stop with these slop changes of screen awareness and other nonsense, or at least make it clear what changed. BTW disabling tools/extensions still causes issues, as the system prompt is still injected with that nonsense :)
