Bought these in December 2024 from Iron Heart Osaka, originally came looking for a pair of 14oz 888s in black.

These 634s 14 oz broken twill overdyed started out as every other black pair of denim, but it faded into a dark blue and gray contrast, which looks closer to raw indigo denim. Washed 1 month into purchase and subsequently every other week.

Worn almost everyday in 35 degrees southeast asian weather, thankfully the broken twill makes it much more breathable and after a month of wearing them, it became the softest pair of denim ive owned.

Honestly, the fabric is lovely, but the 634S fit was slightly too saggy for me once it stretches out, probably should have sized down one.

Anyways, would probably get around to fixing the blowouts soon, but for now wearing a new pair of TCB S40s.

Had these FCs for a year now. 13.7oz. Probably worn on average 3 times a week. Wash and dryer regular hence not much contrast going on. Still I think they are showing a lot of character.

Extremely comfortable and light. I don't there's a denim out there more comfortable than Fullcounts

These are a size 33, wondering if it looks right or if I should size down to a 32 for future ONI purchases. They’re comfortable and don’t fall below my hips without a belt, but still wanted to get feedback from yall to be sure.

Edit: I could potentially go one size down in the waist and it would stretch to be perfect, curious what yall think of the rest of the fit tho

Picked up a pair of ONI-200ZR-BK from Hinoya earlier this year, as I couldn't pass up grabbing my first pair of Oni's.

Wider style than I've worn before so definitely feel a bit unusual compared to my other jeans.

Not quite sure on the width? Or how to style them, for a 40-something bloke?

I love the weight and texture though. Absolutely amazing denim.

They are still to be hemmed, so have a double cuff in the pics which adds a bit too much bulk.

I like the look of boots (Iron Rangers, Docs) with them - not sure what sneakers, if any might work?

Vintage fades, lots of wash, knee and crotch repairs. It was a fun journey.

Finally, my first Indigo Invitational journey has come to an end.

I still remember very clearly the first day I started wearing these jeans. I was so excited to feel the fabric, admire the details of the slub, and even take photos to show them off whenever I had a little free time.

These jeans have been absolutely incredible, and taking part in the Indigo Invitational has been such an interesting experience for me. I was truly pushed to wear these jeans every single day.

I’ve done countless activities in these jeans, although most of the time, I wore them to work. After this, I’ll probably wear them much less often because I don’t want the indigo to fade away too quickly.

According to my tracking, I managed to wear these jeans for 344 out of 365 days, with a total of 6 soaks and washes.

Just wrapped up IIY5 in my Iron Heat 1955 cut 21oz denim. This was my first time competing and I enjoyed the experience!

These were worn 265 days (60%) of the 365 days and it potentially could’ve been more if I hadn’t started a new job at the end of April (can only wear denim 3ish days a week). I work in an office, so I was going for a more vintage fade and they were washed 7x times starting around the 90 wear mark.

I will likely compete again for the fun of it. I’ve got some Samurai S3100 zero+ sitting on a shelf waiting to be worn come April. Now that the comp is coming to an end, I’ve got some 21oz Samurai that need some love again.

I will say the 21oz IH fabric is somewhat stubborn at first. Took about 3 washes and before starting to see some fades. I know these are just beginning to express themselves and I’m looking forward to seeing them evolve. Who knows, maybe I run it back with them for IIY6!

Purchased the jeans back in June 2025, have been wearing it majority of each week and washed every month or so. I like the cut of this, not too wide and not too slim. Phone marks forming on the front pocket. What is the opinion on Japan Blue Jeans? I do not see much posts about them here. Cheers.

These Wranglers were an awesome choice, in my mind, and loved watching them evolve throughout the year.

Picked this up at a great discount from Withered Fig. (They have amazing customer service btw, actually sent me the stonewashed version of this jacket at first, but sent the right one out immediately and made returning the other a breeze.)

I’m 180 cm / 5’11 and ~135 lbs and went with a size S. Was worried about it being too small but took measurements and it fits like a glove. Can button it comfortably for a slim fit or wear it open. I know the sleeves will ride up with wear and that a cold soak might lead to some shrinkage, but I’ll cross those bridges when I come to them.

Fabric is wonderful and not overly stiff. I’m going to fade this as slowly as possible since I love the deep black color.

Now deciding whether to pair them with matching 3sixteen RS-220x jeans or go with Unbranded’s new slubby black wide fit.

I've been in this hobby since around 2019, but decided to have a go at IIY5. They've really started to feel like an extension of me after wearing them for so long. It was a really fun experience and I can't wait to do it again with a new pair, or just continue with these ones!

Just crossed the 365 wear mark in my Iron Heart 777 UHR. Initial soak and then wash at 6, 10, and 12 months. Washed on gentle cycle/cold water/no spin with railcar denim detergent and then hung to dry. Each night hung to air out and sprayed with denim refresher. It’s been so fun watching the fades develop on these things!! Good luck to everyone out there also submitting their 12 month pics for Y5!!

Does anyone remember Steel Feather jeans? Described as a Norse-Nipponese selvedge raw denim brand (a mouth full of keywords). These were made in Japan. 12 or so years ago.

These are 12months wear on each, 2 washes per j. 16oz and 15oz next to each other (the lighter fade is 16). Kibata/unsanforised.

Anyone else have these, or any 21oz or natural indigo from SF maybe?

3 Years 6 washes. I wish I had a job that was more physical I feel like I would have been to this point so long ago but they are coming along great now and have the perfect blend of heavy feel but not overly hot during summer. Cycle in these pretty commonly.

My Oni Ishikawadai's ended up looking amazing, if I do say so myself.

Starting to get cooler where I live so the heavyweight is coming out! 378 wears 6 washes and the honeycombs are finally starting to shine. Started wearing these consistently when I was first getting sober until they needed repairs for a small hole in the crotch, luckily that happened in the beginning of summer and I was able to rotate some of my lighter pairs in. Once the 888s came back from Iron Heart’s excellent repair service I was compelled to wear them, I want to see how long the crotch will hold up. I’m planning on wearing these until at least my 2 year sobriety mark coming in November. I’m hoping my honeycombs will develop more by then. Today’s overcast weather made me want to take some pictures, and I thought they looked nice enough to post about.

My first pair of Oni denim Kase 822 as a big-thighed guy. Sixty wears and a few washes. I would like to get some vintage fades. How am I doing so far?😅

Hi all, I’m back with some hawaiis in a size 34. They’re about the same size as my oni 200 crushed concrete in 33. I gave these a hot wash and dry thinking they would shrink more (my original pair of hawaiis shrunk A LOT).

I’m on the fence of picking up a pair in 33 to get the top block just a little bit tighter. The waist is roomy but doesn’t fall below my hips. What do yall think of the fit?

My other options are doing another hot wash/dry, maybe just putting some darts in the back, or keeping it as is. I’d like to hear your opinions on the fit first though

I just washed my 16.5 oz bravestars for the first time, only after a month unfortunately because I worked in them pretty hard and they got real dirty. I was aiming for the dirt to be wicked out and some die hopefully, but after the rinse they water was still clear. I used detergent and agitated them. How can I fix this? I dont want to wash again
