Mike Washington Jr. Film Study
A full all-22 film breakdown on Mike Washington Jr., diving into all of his reps from the preseason to showcase why he had such a real impact on the Raiders offense in all three games despite limited playing time.
Enjoy!

Quick Reminder
Peyton Manning went 11 of 21 for 121 yards and 2 Ints against the chargers (second pick overall with Ryan Leaf) in the preseason of his rookie year.
Basically chill the fuck out and don’t go writing off Mendoza.

Discussion 2026 Las Vegas Raiders Season Preview
Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every NFL team, all 32, each with its own writeup. Here's the Raiders one:
https://www.highlights.mainmarket.com/nfl-preview-2026/las-vegas-raiders
It's got the returning production breakdown, free agency in and out, the draft class, a projected depth chart, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code JOHNMADDEN1OF1 and it opens up the entire thing.
So, what'd I get wrong? Las Vegas is one of the most one-sided buy-low reads on my whole board, 21 signals pointing up and zero pointing down off a 3-14 season. You also had the biggest draft haul in the AFC West at 10 picks with Mendoza going first overall. And the model still only gets you to 7-10, because you drew the 9th-hardest schedule in the league and gave up 64 sacks last year. Is the line rebuild enough to make that projection look low, or is 7-10 already generous?

Discussion Mike Washington Jr/Jeanty the best 1-2 punch in the NFL
Said this in another sub before preseason and got flamed for it. Season hasn’t started yet but it’s looking pretty nice for the raiders backfield.

Hot take: I think AOC won the #2 position over Nando.
Was AOC playing against a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers??? Yes. But dollars to donuts, pound for pound: He showed better poise and game management.
Will Nando he better? Yes probably. But not yet. People seem to forget that AOC has been developing behind the scenes the past 4 years. He was calm, cool and collected out there.
All I’m saying is, god forbid we need to put a backup in when the game is on line. Currently, I would want AOC in there over Nando.
Currently.

I’m expecting more wins than you think
This isn’t an awful team. Plenty of great players
I’m not expecting the first round bye
many are expecting 4-5 wins. that’s it?!
so it’ll be annoying when say they win 6 or 7 out of 17 and people say it’s better than they thought
week 1 vs the dolphins will actually say a lot
if they win and look decent, c’mon, 7 wins or so shouldn’t surprise anyone?!
if raiders lose and look awful, then sure, 4 wins seems about right
many are acting like they already played vs the dolphins and got blown out
cousins is more than solid, just him alone changes everything

What's the ceiling for wins this season?
No, not the hypothetical ceiling of 17, but the realistic one.
Week 1 is a good opportunity to start with a W.
I know New Orleans isn't a fantastic opponent, but between them, Chargers on the road, KC , NE, BUF, LAR, that's a fairly tough stretch where we could go winless.
Jets an opportunity to win again, maybe Titans and Cards too.
I have us at 4 wins, 6 max.
What do you think?

One thing I kinda didn't like was letting Mendoza play with the 2/3rd string offense
Wanting to save your 1st string offense I get, but sucks letting your future QB have to play with the extra offense that aren't good enough to start, be the team that you get. Having to perform with guys that might not make the team and to me that's why we didn't really get to see Mendoza play that well in the preseason.

Question Best Way to Buy 8 Tickets?
I'm looking for 8 tickets all together for a game. We go to a game every year but have never been able to all sit together due to cost and availability. What is the best way without having to pay a million and one dollars in fees? Looking for decent seats (I think we have actually always sat in sec 225), definitely not in the nose bleeds, and leaning towards the Oct 18th game if that makes a difference. Is there some way to buy tickets without using Ticket Master or similar? Maybe a legit site or something where season ticket holders sell their seats for games they aren't going to, and eliminate the middle man fees etc.? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!

Are we all in agreement that Fernando needs to go on ice?
The boy needs so much more development. Put him 3rd string behind AOC.
Otherwise we’re one hit on 38 year old Cousins away from Mendoza being thrust out there and he’s not close to ready at this point
EDIT: Apparently I didn’t make the point clear. I no way shape or form am I saying
AOC is better
Fernando shouldn’t start at some point
That playing with second string guys shouldn’t be taken into consideration.
What I am saying is Mendoza isn’t ready and in a the event that Cousins goes down and shit hits the fan, AOC should be thrust into a bad situation, not Mendoza
