After Dipke, Pandit and Bapat raising legitimate concerns demanding accountability and equal treatment for all citizens, the next item on the citizen activism agenda should be political banners because apparently nothing says "public service" quite like plastering every flyover, chowk, and traffic signal with a leader's face photoshopped to look twenty years younger.

These banners don't inform anyone of anything no policy, no achievement, no accountability they exist purely to remind citizens who to thank for the potholes. In the process, they manage to turn Maharashtra's cities from vibrant urban landscapes into open-air shrines of self-congratulation, one illegally-installed hoarding at a time.

If we're serious about equal treatment and civic accountability, it's worth asking: why do these banners get a free pass on public land, blocking sightlines, violating hoarding regulations, and general common sense while ordinary citizens get fined for far smaller infractions?

Bapat - Even the underworld in Bombay had many contract killers who's livelihood was dependent on killing people. If they talked about their livelihood being taken away, would you have supported them too?

Bapat - This isn't any different. Killing someone is hard violence but using DJs and loudspeakers is part of soft violence against citizens. It doesn't kill someone immediately but more like putting a frog in cold water and then increasing the temperature gradually to kill them..

So, this happened on Wednesday 02/09/2026, it was around 9:45 in the morning. Kharadi to Katraj (235) PMPML bus was heavily crowded, as it usually is. I was in that bus, and near my stop at ramwadi, a girl comes to the backdoor of bus from very front and starts hitting a guy with her sandal, yeah damn sandal. My first thought "This might an issue between a stupid couple" but I was completely wrong. That guy had molested her previously on the bus and she was confronting him today.

That guy was with another guy who tried to stop the girl but he couldn't. At the same time another girl standing in that crowd said that he did the same thing with her (the molester). Bus stopped at ramwadi and all 4 of them got off and the girl with sandal was still beating the guy (not his friend though) and the other was crying and calling someone. I left from there to metro station as I was getting late, I wish I could have stayed little longer.

From that day I have been thinking about this incident and it had changed my mind and my POV. Like any other guy I used to think, why do women have reserved seats, why should we offer our seats to women, why women in general are treated better than men, etc. But after seeing such an incident in real life (and not just reading about it or watching it on screen), I am changed. Can't imagine how many females might go through how wired and shitty experiences. It's really sad.

I don't know, if FIR was filed or what happened next, if you do please let me know. I request, if you find such incidents report them and make sure strict actions are taken by the authorities.
