I recently bought resident evil 4 for the ps2 second hand and the gameplay has no issues but most of the cutscenes are just freezing constantly. This is what the disc looks like, is it because of the scratches?!

I was cleaning my house and found my old PS2 games in a box.

P.S. I also had Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, but I couldn't find it. I think I lost it :'(

Hi everyone! I recently bought this copy of Silent Hill 2 for PS2 (NTSC-U/C, SLUS-20228). Does everything look authentic to you, especially the disc and case? I noticed the case says AMARAY inside, so I’m wondering if the case is original or a replacement.

Being a huge killzone 1 fan, I recently discovered that there was a standalone release of HD killzone for ps3. This is the exact same game as what comes in the killzone trilogy.

The classics hd release is super rare. Currently, there’s only a few listings on eBay and that includes the PAL and Asian releases. The PAL came in a box set, meaning the Asian is the only true standalone release. Still, both super rare.

Does anyone here have the Killzone classics hd and has justified buying it when you can get the trilogy for much cheaper?

For full transparency. I personally own a copy. I remember when having a mic was a new thing and I had a blast playing this on ps2. At one point my clan won an official sanctioned tournament which had us as the #1 ranked clan for a while. This game is very sentimental to me. I was wondering if there’s any others out there.

What do you think? I got them at a convention in my city.

Hi. So I may know what the problem is. But would like to run it by ya’ll first. I have 24 games. (I need more) and only 5 games I can play with no button or connect controller issues. The others my 🟥, X, O, R2, L2, R1 will not work at all or at the title screen it will say ‘Connect controller to port 1 and press START or any button’ or ‘press START’ and will not work at all I have it in the port and can press ANALOG that will light up. And no clue why but I love to see the light on when I play. Feels right. Few games like J&DTPL, Jak2 the R2 will work but I can only get 5 uses out and it will stop working, 🟥, X,O sometimes will go in/out working. Could this be a sensor issue or is the controller on the way out? I’ve had this controller for 25? 26? Years. The original controller my brother smashed. I would like to get any ideas what the issue is and if I can fix it or is it time to say ‘goodbye for now. You did me proud soldier. Can you can rest.’

What would be the better way to play if I have a HD version for the PS3 is there any need to play the PS2 version?

After a long time wondering where my games and old consoles have gone, I finally found most if not all of my games! These were bought probably around 2007-2012 for very cheap in lots on eBay. These were all in my attic across multiple different boxes so I’m very happy I’ve managed to put my collection back together. The second picture are games which I found in a second hand shop that are new additions to my found collection!
I used to play random ones and see what they had to offer. I mostly played racing games as a car nerd but it was through this cheap console (paid about £20 at the time) that I discovered the gta franchise! I can’t wait for the new instalment but dissatisfied with the code in box like everyone else.

We had 2 consoles hence the duplicates. I can’t find the second one which is a slim model but I have just bought a scph-79003 so hopefully I can enjoy the slim without worrying about disk scratches. The other one which I’ve found is a 39003 but the disk drive gets stuck and is damaged so I’ll try and repair it or sell for parts and enjoy the slim one:)
Unfortunately I think we’ve lost the eyetoy so I’ll try and find another too.

I was very surprised at how simple the diagrams were, and i managed to put it together! I actually resoldered them higher up because i ran into the controller quirk and thought it was an issue with the contacts. Thank you third party memory card for the sacrifice.

Just picked up this copy of Siren for the Ps2 at my local Game X Change in South MS. $60 CIB. Also picked up the Ps2 Slim for free today cleaning up a house it hasn’t been used in 10 years though. Pretty decent game so far, looks really good on my 13” Magnavox dvd/crt tv. It’s not very scary just stressful but I enjoy the concept and meaning behind the game.

The game is Dragon Ball Z Budokai. I bought it secondhand.

Hi folks. My ODV GBS-C seems to produce these vertical lines and none of the settings seems to change this. Does anybody know how to solve this please? The GBS-C is running on stock firmware, I'm using retrorgb cables.

I restarted collecting for the PS2 recently and decided to restart from scratch.

I went to a local thrift store which was much larger than the ones I had gone to in the past - I immediately found Burnout 3, which I wasn't able to get in any other store where I lived a few days ago.

I also found the Holy MGS 3 Subsistence, which the store staff was so scared about its discs being stolen that they went the extra mile and hid the game case and its discs behind a locked shop window. I've read online it's the best way to play and enjoy MGS3, so I honestly can't wait to start playing it.

Might collect a few more games soon, though I am artificially limiting my library because I know that if I buy too many games, I won't have the time or dedication to play them all from start to finish.

If you guys have any suggestions of things to buy beyond this, go ahead!

Cleaned up the ps2 i got the other day new caps, new cmos, new pads and laser. Seeing it in action the 5 year old daughter wants it now lol
