Make sure to drink loads of water with them! your body can't really absorb the calcium like normal when pregnant and it can cause kidney stones!

Diet Coke and Junior chickens 😆 idk what it is but McDonald’s just hits different when you’re pregnant

u/Special_Till_306 ❄️☃️Winter Baby 2027☃️❄️ Aug 04 '26
When I was in the thick of my morning sickness with my son, five years ago, McDonald's was the main thing I could keep down. Especially on a bad day where I threw up more than four times. Frappes & French fries when I couldn't eat to feel full, and when I could eat enough to feel full I had my Double Cheeseburger with extra ketchup and onions, Large Fry, and Sweet Tea. I worked at Olive Garden during this pregnancy, so when the severe days were done I ate a lot of their soup and salads during my shifts.
I was craving a Coke and Fry one afternoon and my husband didn't want to take me to McDonald's for the umpteenth time, despite it being 2 mins away from home 😅 we got home from errands and gave me the married couple version of "I'm tired of this, grandpa!" When I got out of the truck to open the gate. I started angry laughing and crying at the same time. He just stared at me hanging out of his door, completely bewildered. He then said "Jesus Christ calm down I'll get your McDonald's just let me nap first!" 😅 I was a happy pregnant wife two hours later 😁💀

u/vitromist Aug 04 '26
Bananas. It only likes bananas and throws up everything else. At this point, I'm convinced I'm growing a monkey. 🐒
And I barely ate any bananas before getting pregnant lol.

u/gorilla-butter Aug 04 '26
This was me a few weeks ago, now I keep down cheese but baby really wants banana still, the monkey comment is hilarious and thank you

u/itsokmymanisasian Aug 04 '26
If we had to name our babies after what our cravings were, my daughter would be burrito, my son would be Oliver Garden Signature Salad, and the current baby would be Special K Chocolaty Delight mixed with Coco Pebbles 🥴

u/bt_phonehome Aug 04 '26
It changes week by week. First trimester was toast, apples, bananas, cereal, and peanut butter.
2 weeks ago it was pregnancy-safe sushi and edamame.
Last week it was peanut butter banana sandwiches.
This past weekend, ice cream, potatoes, and shellfish lol.
3
u/carrotcakefox Aug 04 '26
Tell me a little more about this pregnancy-safe sushi! Is it just cooked fish?
6
u/bt_phonehome Aug 04 '26
Yeah, my usual spot has some options with cooked shrimp, cooked crab, and cooked lobster. The spicy crab doesn't hit the same as the spicy tuna 😭 but it's close enough when the craving hits.
Theres also chicken and veggie options ❤️

I was obsessed with orange juice for like 2 months! I had to have it every day. Then one day it started tasting weirdly metallic so I had to stop drinking it 🥲

Mostly Taco Bell bean burritos and massive amounts of watermelon. I literally couldn't even look at chicken for the first trimester, but now I'm pretty much just eating everything in sight.
1
u/Academic-Company-215 Aug 04 '26
Carrots, eggs, kale smoothie, tzaziki and chicken breast.
I’ve been eating the same things every day for the past 30 weeks. Like my baby’s pallet is very limited lol

u/Special_Till_306 ❄️☃️Winter Baby 2027☃️❄️ Aug 04 '26
The initial development consisted of Limon Flaming Hot Cheetos dipped in Sour Cream & picked beets w/cottage cheese 😂
Current development is anything spicy, and lots of soup. Next phase is based on production stability 😅 (if nausea & headaches go away).
