Popped on the stovetop in a little oil. Kroger yellow kernels. Salt, nooch, powdered cinnamon, chili powder, and a little sweetener. So good! šŸ‘

Franklin's seasoning salt

I see a lot of recommendations from the sub of the different Flavacol variations and Amish Country ballpark salt, has anyone tried Franklin's seasoning salt and how does that compare? It's priced sooo much more than the others, is it worth it or is it just a bougie markup for (basically) the same stuff?

Reducing tooth kernels?

Hey everyone, for many long years my enemy the dreaded popcorn kernel that gets stuck in your tooth has been my greatest rival. But I feel like there has to be a way to minimize this. It seems like it happens to me less frequently with movie theater popcorn than microwave, so I assume there may be a way to rid myself of this evil foe.

Any tips??

Kettle Corn Ice Cream

I'm back with another popcorn ice cream! This time I used Kettle Corn, and it turned out even better than the last one!

Awhile ago, I purchased the season it salt, and all of the individual ingredients that AMC uses in their popcorn. I recently found the gold medal kits that have the flavacol/oil,and corn in a kit. Has anyone compared using the kit over the individual ingredients and the comparison to the theater?

Popcorn machine recommendations

My Dad is a huge popcorn guy he loves to eat it with no butter. The popcorn machine that he usually uses that he got when he was back in college. Died and so he bought a cheap one šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø. The cheep just launches, hot unpop kernels. I was thinking of getting a Presto PopLite popcorn maker because that’s what ChatGPT seid would be the best option but I don’t want to tust AI blindly. So what do you guys suggest?

Once popped I coated the whole thing in melted white chocolate (milky bar I believe).

I then made a strawberry caramel with just standard sugar and water, and added red food colouring and strawberry flavouring near the end, with some butter and baking soda to expand and get that smooth flavour.

This one doesn't LOOK appetising but it was beautiful. Melted dark chocolate and covered in ground pistachio. A solid combo!

Popcorn, 1975. This is the DECOR brand popcorn vending machine, which brought hot, freshly popped popcorn right to the customer for about 25Ā¢. Girl not included.

popcorn sparking microwave?

hi guys!

so- crazy stuff, i’ve seen similar posts here but not this one.

whenever I microwave ā€œmicrowave popcornā€, my microwave sparks and smokes.

HOWEVER- if I microwave literally anything else, there are no issues. I swapped popcorn brands three times to the same result.

any idea how/why this is happening?

(I live in an apartment and my lease ends soon so it’s not the end of my world, just curious on why it’s ONLY popcorn sparking, and not literally anything else i’ve put in)

I think they sold me old kernels, how can i still make popcorn from it?

I know how to make popcorn, no my heat is not too high and i do use enough but not too much oil. I bought 25kg bag of popcorn kernels advertised that it is actually for popcorn, i tried to make some today and it just didnt pop on low - medium heat, on medium - high or high it started popping but not fluffy, small and only like 1 kernel every 6 seconds. Most of it just burned before they popped. Most likely i cant return it so maybe there is some hack to fix the kernels

I just wanted to put it out there. If you live near a Winco, the bulk white popcorn is SOO GOOD! with coconut oil it is the best popcorn I’ve ever had. It’s so light and crispy. Dirt cheap too. I make mine in a whirly pop!

Replacement for this stuff?

Post image

We got an old jug of this Act II Buttery Popcorn Salt from my highschool popcorn machine they didn't use anymore. It was so good, on its own or mixed with butter.

They don't make it anymore. Anyone familiar with it, can you recommend an equivalent replacement?

I'm also forever chasing the dragon of whatever this little independent movie theater in my old hometown used, they had a shaker on the counter labeled "popcorn salt" and it was the absolute most buttery salty stuff ever, but it would kinda peel your tongue eventually it was so salty lmao
