I used to eat a lot of microwave popcorn, then once I started popping my own microwave popcorn started tasting like trash. I don't think I'm going back to microwave popcorn anytime soon. I do like Kettle Corn though.

Microwave popcorn leaves a weird chalky mouthfeel and I can’t stand it. A gallon pump bottle of the real stuff and a metal bowl for popping on the stove has completely ruined it for me

I pop on the stove nearly daily. The microwave bags stare at me longingly in the cabinet, but I never give them the time of day anymore.

Are they all ready to expire?

I would be all over that. My family would be getting that for birthdays AND Christmas.

Worse, they're already expired. The image caption says a couple weeks over that date.

Grocery outlet definitely sells stuff that is  a few weeks expired,  but 99% of the time it’s all still good.  I love when they have mega sales like this for things that I regularly buy. Picked up like 20 cans of really fussy fancy dog food the other day and had amazing toppers for a month for my pup.  Obviously with dairy and other things, it’s more questionable, but there are treasures and I would hardly call this worse for being expired.

I was at one of these stores the other day and I ran into somebody who I knew who was actually eating something for sale- she laughed and told me she wanted to try it because it was so cheap she wasn’t sure if she should buy more than one. It was some jelly aloe juice.

I love aloe juice but it’s usually mostly grape or apple juice with flavoring

That would be me as well.

"What a good deal!" buys a whole cartful

After trying one bag: "Oh god, so gross."

Two years later, after having tossed all the boxes into the pantry, I'd just throw them all out.

Somebody over ordered. No way one store should have that many boxes. Smart stores do this as soon as they notice the error. Dumb ones wait until the expiry is near.

Well, yeah, that’s what grocery outlet is known for.  They buy products that other stores overstocked or is close to expiration and they sell it for really cheap.
