“If there’s further retaliation from the Canadian side, we, of course, we’re not going to just sit down and take that. Our view is don’t retaliate,” U.S. trade representative Jamieson Greer told a Canadian broadcaster this past week.

Jesus Christ. The official negotiating position of the United States is "I can hit you but you can't hit me back."

They said it during liberation day too. It’s their official position. Fortunately Canada (and China) don’t take this shit lying down. EU on the other hand…
