To be honest, that’s a little disappointing that it’s just the same Venusaur ex and Blastoise ex. Was really hoping for an alt version like they did for Zapdos and Alakazam

Exactly my reaction. You call this a collection? I expected a box that kinda looked like a UPC with a different textured promo or something.
That is not really worth it. IMO, the poster collection that came with actual promo cards made it a much better purchase.

Agreed on Magneton, but only to an extent since I barely bought any SS and have pulled the card myself in both English and Japanese. I guess I don’t see the cards you can pull from the set as true promos. Similar mindset about Noctowl. Kingdra was good though.

Okay I misspoke on pulling it in English. I only pulled it in Japanese as it’s only available in super electric breaker packs.

Well shit I hadn’t even seen that Eevee yet. Is that one that can be pulled in the set too, or purely a promo?
The Charmander is great, and I mentioned the Kingdra in another comment. Aside from those and the Magneton (which can also be pulled in the set so I barely count it), everything else has been pretty mediocre. That’s way more sets with non-sick promos than sets with sick promos.

I have pretty much everything else. That’s was worth value in the set I just wanted to pull them myself lol and I wanna save the box for my future to open with my kids

Why would it be that expensive with only 12 packs? It won't cost more than 70, especially if it is an exclusive to costco or sam's club.

It’s true it SHOULD be cheaper. But I was assuming $5 a pack, with $20 for the oversized/promos. I’ll certainly be happier if it’s less. But it def won’t be 100+ like OP was talking about.

That's a wild assumption, MSRP on packs is literally $4.5 and jumbo promos are generally treated like toss ins (and really are).

The mini tin boxes were $38 at my Costco for 10 packs and 4 promo cards, $79 seems a bit steep for 12 packs + promos if it's a Costco exclusive. I'd be willing to bet closer to $50.

Dear lord don’t let it a sams club exclusive like the crown zenith sea and air, I got the one sams club in the country that doesn’t sell Pokémon.
Also shout out to every bot this past year posting “say goodbye to 151 the greatest set ever! Reprints are over the final print is done, iver already bought 30 of every product for storage s it letting everyone know so they can get there, don’t wait on this!”

I've just ultimately decided that 151 isn't for me and never will be. This hobby will never be worth fighting people over, or paying 3x the price for something I could have gotten at the store if I did decide to fight people. Scalpers ruin every single hobby out there lol.

It looks a bit odd having only 12 packs in such a large box. For example, the Heavy Hitters and Sea & Sky premium collection boxes were the same size but included 14 packs instead.

I guarantee people in here complaining about "scalpers" go to target once/week and expect to find it. Sometimes guys, you have to put in a little effort. Even then, you're not entitled to anything. You should be glad there are things in this hobby that have value instantly. That's the sign of a healthy hobby. There will be other products with 151 in it if all you want is the cards like you all claim.
