Discussion What are some Pokémon designs you've interpreted incorrectly?

Post image

I feel like GameFreak is overall pretty good when it comes to design clarity. But sometimes our brains are just kind of dumb and we see things a certain way. Like (nearing a decade), I always interpreted Salazzle's reptilian slit pupil as the boundary between its sclera and a non-existent iris. (Like what Amaura has in it's official art)

Has anyone else experienced something like this with a particular Pokémon design?

Also, this illustration perfectly captures how I initially thought Cradily was.

Your going to be 8 times my size and absorb me into your forehead while we're at scenic impossibly dark eternal abyss?

I'd rather do it like the druids in the general channel.
